Feeling very fed up with failing every month and wondered if there's anyone in the same boat? It's a lonely boat on a journey to nowhere at the moment, but if anyone else wants to join me, some company would be nice

Hi ladies

Hope everyone is well. Work has been somewhat hectic so not managing to get on so often.

Its good to see spirits soaring with crank calls and playing with poo

The good news is that spring is officially here so bring on our little lambs - oh and I have finally decided to get married

The bad news is its the end of the weekend

Take care and lets hope our men can keep UP the good work so we get a BFP!!!!!!

KD

Ready · 31/03/2008 16:49

Lovely to see you Kd... how exciting, you have decided to get married... Tell us all about it... Congratulations!! Any plans for the big day? ooooh. I love weddings.... I am pretty sure I should have been a wedding planner

scared1976 · 31/03/2008 18:31

hey girls how are you all doing? nice light evenings making all your other halves feel frisky i hope!

just been for first acupuncture. Was very calming, although oddly when she stuck one in my forehead i started thinking murderous thoughts about everyone i know. very very strange....

anyways. think i might be late but not sure as had a bit of a slow start to AF last time so could be due today or 2 days over. Had cramps since Friday and my tits are like weapons. have been to boots to buy a test but DH is insisting that i dont use them on the basis that it breaks my heart every month. Given I was travelling and we only managed to BD once on day 12 or 14 it seems unlikely.

I think Im gonna pour myself a glass of wine in that case

hugs

scared1976 · 31/03/2008 20:42

arghhh. just did test and of course was BFN. Why is my body playing tricks on me? so unfair.

Ready · 31/03/2008 21:25

pmsl at "tits like weapons" Scared... glad the acupuncture went well, and you felt calm... interesting that the murderous thoughts came out in one go, perhaps a blockage was cleared?

I had a hopi ear candle treatment today, which was really good, and very relaxing. Then I had a pedicure - which was lush, my feet are sooo soft and pretty, considering they were winter hobbit feet, that's well worth the money.

Oh. And I have booked in for some reflexology at the end of April... looking forward to that. I have not said it is for conception (as the therapist is a family friend) - it is for my sinuses, and to rebalance me...

How is everyone?

Ready · 31/03/2008 21:26

Sorry about the bfn

herbaceous · 01/04/2008 09:41

BFNs smell. I must say, I never test until I'm about a week late, then if it's negative, I know it's true, and not just because it was 'too early', or 'afternoon wee', or any other justification.

I've had a weird one - absolutely gallons of EWCM on days 8 and 9 (of a normally 28-day cycle). What's that all about? Fortunately we did loads of jiggy around then, so you never know... Naturally, sod's law being what it is, now we're coming up to the magic days 12-14, DP has hurt his wrist. I think I'll be going on top for a while!

Ready · 01/04/2008 10:12

I'm the same... I have tested at 3 days late before, but that annoyed me... so I doubt I will ever test until I am a week late in the future. I can usually tell with the temperatures too, so would have some idea after a week

scared1976 · 01/04/2008 17:22

sigh, thanks ready. it's very strange. I had cramps all day friday, sat, sunday. DEFINITELY period cramps. Then nothing. If I hadnt done the test Id be completely convinced. But the test says no so I guess its to the doctors for me next week as planned!

Ready · 01/04/2008 21:07

I have been there Scared... all the signs, but nothing doing... frustrating. Hope that it is a good sign for you though... a bfn means nothing on its own!

nomoremagnolia · 03/04/2008 11:16

any news scared?
I'm on CD1 but that's good news as it means we're going to be able to start the IVf this cycle!

Good luck NMM! Remind me - and saving me looking back over the thread! - where are you having it done?

I took the nettle by the horns, grasped the bull, etc, and said to DP last night that if we've only got six months more of TTC before giving up, we've got to do it properly, and that may mean doing jiggy when neither of us feel like it. It went down surprisingly OK. As did he!

ready · 03/04/2008 18:01

Pram wars hey

Ready is sending me a CD... (THANKS R) your a star!!!

I too had a nice glass (rather big glasses) of wine last night... so had a few giggles...

Have a good day all and catch you laters!

GryffinGirl · 05/04/2008 11:46

hello everyone - i haven't been around much due to wanting to stay away and get head together. Scared - i think we have been trying for the same length of time - also 16 months here and getting referral. It is very interesting to hear what your specialist says about women in their 30's obly ovulating 9-10 times a year. I am 32.

Hope everyone is ok. ready - giggling about the pram wars.

We have got our referral to the fertility clinic. It's at at St Mary's Paddington on 28th April, which is apparently (and luckily!) super quick. DH's second sperm test was a slight improvement on the last time, but still very low and so there is no doubt that is where the problem lies. BUT we are really upbeat at such a quick referral, but I don't know anything about the St mary's clinic - is there an NHS league table of fertitlity units or has anyone been there? I know some of the other London ladies on here have been to UCH.

anyone get any tips for making a reluctant DH try acupuncture ?

hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Ready · 06/04/2008 15:48

GryffinGirl, I would say, that just getting some literature about acu and the effects it can have on sperm quality, is the best way to do it, and just leave it for him to read (in the toilet )and make his own mind up. I don't think that men like to be told to do anything... gentle but constant persuasion is the best method I reckon

I will get dh to copy the cd today Rah and it will be winging its way to you early next week ... glad you had a great night and some vino - relaxing is the way forward I reckon!

Lottie, that is a spooky coincidence... I have yet to visit Canada, but the intention is to do so when we have the next generation to take with us. Is it as beautiful there as I imagine?

Well... Nomore and I went into JohnLewis on Friday... first we sat in the cafe and chatted about babies and prams whilst looking at babies and prams, and then we went and had a play with some prams in the baby department!! Nomore was just brilliant - total confidence! It has cemented my love for the Bugaboo!! I am in no doubt!

How is everyone?

nomoremagnolia · 06/04/2008 18:37

Was I really brilliant or was it just that I have no shame?
