@VP91x wand up your foof, that made me laugh on a Friday morning 🤣. That was a lovely remembrance light pic that you posted ❤️. X

KM89 · 16/10/2020 09:17

Hi everyone. I'm now having my first period since my surgical management 5 weeks ago. Cant wait for it to finish so I can get on with DTD as much as possible and TTC this month. I've never tracked my ovulation before I may give it a little go this month, looks like clearblue seems to be the best option is this right? I have a couple of cheap sticks might give them a try first... 🤔

MoMof4xx · 16/10/2020 09:44

Thank you.
Hope you get your bfp x

2alreadywantanother · 16/10/2020 09:48

@km89 I'd surgical management 3 wks ago. Have started trying already. I know they say wait but I think I just ovulated so no harm trying. Hows af, is it bad. Some say it can be. My friend is nearly 6wks after SM and still waiting on af. Ps I'm using cheap opks and did last time.
@vp91x I tacked temp and RHR last time when I got my bfp. Haven't started to yet, said I'd wait on af b4 getting sucked in and totally caught up in it.
My RHR hasnt really come down since my mmc, its actually higher than when I was pregnant and on the rise so that's strange.

re6ecca · 16/10/2020 10:27

Why do dpo drag so much.... 7dpo today... feeling the frustration

MSG92 · 16/10/2020 11:30

Hi @km89 sorry to hear that. I use easy @ home ovulation tests from amazon about £5.99 for a pack of 24 I think, they work pretty well for me in determining the day of ovulation, there's an app that goes with it to track so you can see it go up, peak then dip again. I think most do the job in at least giving you an idea of when you ovulate and as sperm live for upto 5 days inside as long as your DTD fairly regularly during that window it gives you just as good a chance as anyone else.

@VP91x thanks! Really looking forward to it, done my workouts, got a face mask on before I wash my hair and maybe a little tipple before we leave later, then hopefully we make it back sober enough to DTD tonight haha, AF wasn't quite finished with me last night so no birthday sex for him :/

I feel so chilled with it all right now, despite it being months and months since we started, I figure it happened once so will happen again, and worrying isn't going to speed it up! How's everyone else feeling?

re6ecca · 16/10/2020 11:44

@MSG92 just worried about everything really which appears to be the opposite of your current philosophy! 🤣
I'm not good at waiting so I've already had a bfn this month despite knowing that at 7dpo there is no way I would get a bfp.

KM89 · 16/10/2020 11:54

@2alreadywantanother I bled on and off for 3 weeks afterwards and any chance of ovulation/ DTD timing just didn't work out for me. Af is here so i can track at least and carry on as I know some people can wait a while before af shows. Mines like it was before falling pregnant so far, however i did get fairly heavy periods anyway.

@MSG92 thank you i will have a little look for them, some are so expensive i would rather try cheap ones first and then if i have problems using them i will opt for the more expensive ones i think.

RichmondLady1981 · 16/10/2020 12:07

@re6ecca haha! You did a test at7dpo? That’s too funny. I’m 10 DPO and too scared! 😭 I completely agree- it drags doesn’t it. When’s AF due?

MSG92 · 16/10/2020 12:18

@re6ecca aaah no!! I absolutely was worried about everything, but what does it change? In fact stress is linked to taking longer to conceive, don't get me wrong ovulation time I'm like a woman possessed lol but every time I catch myself thinking about it I try and divert elsewhere!

re6ecca · 16/10/2020 12:22

@RichmondLady1981 its like the damn things sit there looking at me every morning 😬 I always feel so stupid after 🤣

re6ecca · 16/10/2020 12:23

@MSG92 I wouldn't say I'm necessarily stressed enough to cause issues thank goodness! And especially around ovulation I'm quite relaxed as I feel like I can do something! Its just the waiting!! Its SO LONG 😭 feels like its been 4 months yet its only been a week!
I need to learn some patience 🤣

TTCAbroad · 16/10/2020 13:36

Hi all - first time here (unfortunately?). Found out at my scan that I've had a MMC at 8 weeks (should have been 8w5d today) after hearing a heartbeat at a 6w5d scan. I think I'm in a bit of shock. I've decided not to have medical intervention. Has anyone else waited?

I feel so sad for my husband, he was so encouraged by hearing a heartbeat that I think he wrote off the chance of anything bad happening.

2alreadywantanother · 16/10/2020 13:43

@ttcabroad so sorry for ur loss hun. Same happened me. Scan at 6+6 and all was fine. Then at 9+2 baby was measuring 9+2 but no heartbeat 😭 I had surgical management. I've 2 kids that are 10 and 11 and they didn't know so I didnt want going through it at home, possibly In pain and them wondering what's going on.
I did wait a wk to go back before deciding on what to do. Felt I needed that time to accept it and it certainly was the right choice for me.
I'm so sorry your having to go through this. Take the time to need to grieve and look after yourself and DH. Talk about it to him. It helped here. xx

MoMof4xx · 16/10/2020 13:56

@ttcabroad Hi, sorry for your loss. I was in a similar situation to yourself.. heard a heartbeat, baby stopped growing and the heartbeat stopped. I had a very light pink bleed and then went in for a scan which confirmed the missed miscarriage.
I wanted to miscarry naturally as I wanted to be at home. Took 9 days to start. A lot of stomach pains and passing of large clots. Unfortunately I was at work at the time. Next day still bleeding clots. Passing the sac did hurt a little, like contractions. After it passed I bled lightly for a day or so.
Two weeks later... af appeared. None period, not too painful.

TTC before AF arrived but I didnt ovulate. I test with clearblue sticks.
Took a pregnancy test 3 days after miscarriage and it was negative yet 2 days before miscarriage it was plus 3 weeks. Think having a natural miscarriage helped my hormones sort themselves out. X

Furbsies · 16/10/2020 15:08

@ttcabroad
I had a miscarriage in May at 8 weeks, never heard a heart beat or anything but I started spotting, so went in to epu at 8+3 weeks and they asked me to wait two weeks. So at 10+3 I'd definitely miscarried..

All that time the spotting had continued to get worse. After a month of bleeding I couldn't stand it any longer and went for surgical management on the day that would have been my 12 week appointment

My body just didn't want it miscarry naturally...

I am so sorry for your loss. Hope you can soon get past this and join us in TTC journey xx

Runnergirl1 · 16/10/2020 15:55

@TTCAbroad so sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage. Went for a scan 8weeks and was measuring 6. Had to wait two week to confirm (private). Then referred to nhs and had to wait another week. Started to bleed after that and miscarried a week later (part) then went back in for scan and still had some left so it happened again a week later. I know this sounds horrific but thought I would be honest. The pain was a lot, needed codeine the second time so if you can get some painkillers great - I’m guessing it’s like contractions. Hopefully you have some support with you and try and get yourself some relaxation time x

RichmondLady1981 · 16/10/2020 16:43

Look at this ladies. It does make you wonder why people say to use FMU for pregnancy tests! 🤷‍♀️

chloedancer897 · 16/10/2020 20:47

@VP91x I got a static today! Didn't get a flashy so that was weird. Yes I always seem to get a static at CD13 every month. I should stop doing them but I have a POAS obsession. Hopefully DTD tonight. DH was too tired last night and then we had a big fight about it 😞

re6ecca · 16/10/2020 23:06

Does anyone here check their cervix? Mine appears to be high and soft from general examination but I'm not sure if that's a pregnancy symptom or just normal or my body playing tricks on me 😅

DBTJ · 17/10/2020 00:24

Hi everyone

Don't ask why I'm posting so late just clocking in to say happy tier 2 day to u all. Hope everyone staying safe and sane.

Rumples · 17/10/2020 10:29

Hi ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining. I had my MMC confirmed on Wednesday and was given the tablets for medical management.

It was an awful experience but after weeks of knowing I was going to miscarry as the baby hasn't developed properly, but my body wouldn't let go, I feel like I can finally breathe and move on.

I'd like to start TTC again asap really. The nurse said to wait 3 months but that just feels so long 😔.

@TTCAbroad so sorry to hear about your loss. I went for a scan at the EPU on 1st October where they said the baby hasn't developed properly but there was a heartbeat, then went back on the 7th October where they said it was 100% a miscarriage and they said for me to wait 2 weeks and go back if the bleeding didn't start on it's own.

I waited a week and nothing was happening and just I couldn't do it anymore mentally. They seen me on Wednesday and I had medical management. It was a rough day but I woke up Thursday feeling like a weight had been lifted.

susiebluebell · 17/10/2020 11:27

Welcome to the new ladies and so sorry to read what you've been through. I stayed off here and social media the past couple of days as I knew people were doing things for baby loss awareness. It's lovely but just too sad for me at the moment.

10dpo here and AF due in 3 days. I keep going from one extreme to the other, 'I'm definitely pregnant!' to 'There's no way I'm pregnant!' And as someone else said I'm too chicken to deal with early testing so I'm waiting for AF...

2alreadywantanother · 17/10/2020 13:42

@rumples you poor thing. I know what you mean about the weight been lifted. Hope ur ok.
I was told to wait until 1st period but I think that's for dating the next pregnancy. I had my d&c 3wks ago yest and think I ovulated Thursday. Opk peak and plenty of cm and twinges in ovaries. So DTD over the last few days. Now is a fertile time so I'm taking th le chance. I'm 40 and dont plan on waiting if I can help it. Do what feels right for u. I think some need that extra time to grieve and accept things and they advise longer wait to allow ur heart to heal
Hope that all makes sense. I've food in the oven and rushing 🤣🤣

familybythesea · 17/10/2020 18:36

Just checking in to quickly say hi before I read all the thread. I keep taking breaks as I can get a little too obsessed with it all and don’t want to fan the flames, so to speak, but do wonder how you’re all getting on. Nothing much new here - I’m somewhere around CD16-20 (last cycle was bizarre so confused) and I’ve been tracking my temp to see if I do actually ovulate but not sure I’m doing it right! Also ovulating probably today (second day of positive opks) but no chance to BD yesterday or today so feel a bit disappointed about that. I have an appointment with the recurrent miscarriage clinic next week and trying not to pin too much hope and expectation to it (unsuccessfully).
I’ve found this baby loss awareness week a bit overwhelming so hope you’re all ok xxx
