I never seem to quite fit into any of the existing posts so thought I’d create my own.

Feel free to join me.

I ‘think’ I’m due af around 17th May, but knowing me will start testing from around 11th onwards as I’m a total poas addict.

I say I think that’s when my af is due because in the past my cycles have been around 37 dats long. Ovulating around cd22.

But thus cycle I took soy isoflavones after researching about them, hearing they can bring ovulation forward, and amazingly I got my positive ovulation test on cd14! So if my luteal phase remains the same which I think it’s meant to, then I’d be due af 14 days after that (my luteal phase is 14 days long).

I’ve been known to test from 7dpo though so not holding out much hope of me staying strong 😂 that’s the trouble with having a ton of ic tests burning a hole in my drawer!

Good luck to everyone else.

Hello, I've just started my own thread on this but have asked for to be deleted as I've just seen yours! I'm 2dpo too and going mad already. I always get breast pain post ovulation but of course this month I'm convinced it's a sign Blush with my DS I was testing daily throughout the TWW so I'm sure I'll start soon! My period is due on the 16th.

WineLover1234 · 04/05/2020 19:11

Hi @Moominmiss I totally get what you mean. People tend to ignore my responses on other posts haha. We are ttc baby number 1, I came off the pill on the 4th april, and had my natural AF arrive on Friday the 1st. According to my ovulation calculator I'm due to hopefully ovulate for most of next week, so I have warned DP we will be busy next week haha.

Good luck to you and we need to make sure we keep each other updated on our progress Smile

HopeWish · 04/05/2020 19:31

Hi can I join? 1 dpo today and like you a massive POAS addict! I am trying to hold off testing until 10dpo but I know I will probably cave..

Moominmiss · 04/05/2020 20:32

@DressingGownofDoom well welcome to this thread!!!
I’m so rubbish with symptom spotting. I never really thought I had post ovulation symptoms so then last month when my I had insanely tender boobs a few days after, I was totally convinced it meant I was pregnant 🙄 obviously I wasn’t, so I’m trying desperately hard to ignore anything. Although so far there’s literally nothing to report. I feel nothing. Totally normal.
I think the earliest I’ve been known to poas was 6dpo lol. There’s just something about it I can’t resist 😂

@WineLover1234 same! I find my replies seem to get overlooked too. I suppose with so many women on here all in the same boat it can be easy to get lost in the crowd!
Oh how exciting for you ttc number 1!! I’m ttc number 4. I have 3 children already with my ex. I’ve been with my current partner for a few years now but he has no children of his own so we’d like to try for one together. I worry I may have left it a bit late though as I’m 37 now. But fingers crossed!
Hopefully it won’t take you long now you’re off the pill! I’d been on the pill for 12 years when I came off it to ttc my first. I then conceived on my third cycle. In fact each time I’ve conceived it’s been on the 3rd cycle.
I fell pregnant last October but sadly miscarried on New Year’s Day at 9 weeks. I then suffered a chemical pregnancy in a March so I’m finding it really tough at the moment. But trying to stay positive.
I know I’m doing everything I can, although if I’m honest I could do with losing a bit of weight really. Sadly being in lockdown isn’t helping that 😂
My oh has been loving the whole ttc and more sex! I didn’t tell him this month when I was ovulating, I just made sure I came onto him. He’s been thinking all his christmases have come at once as it’s normally him making the moves.
Good luck for next week. I’d definitely love to keep each other updated!!

@HopeWish of course you can join!! It’s so nice to have some fellow poas addicts here. I won’t feel quite so crazy when I start later this week 🙈 I really will be trying to hold out, but I know what I’m like and I know that every other month I’ve caved!

Hey all I'm 4 DPO the TWW is torture. I'm like you very impatient and like to start testing around 9DPO although it has back fired for me in the past and it has revealed I've had 2 chemicals. We've been trying since September for baby #1 and I literally had no idea how involved it was going to be with the vitamins, OPKs and tracking my cycle. It's a good job it's up to me to do and not OH he just gets a nudge when it's go time 😂 good luck to you all 🤞🏼🌈

Moominmiss · 04/05/2020 20:53

@BabyDust13 it really is torture. Time never drags like it does when you’re ttc!
Sorry to hear about your chemicals. That’s the main reason I will try my hardest to not test, when I had my chemical I tested at 9dpo and got a bfp, even got a 1-2 weeks on a clear blue digi, then a week later the lines weren’t any darker and clear blue was still 1-2. Finally a couple of days later it went to negative and af started 🥺

I think I took getting pregnant easily for granted before. It just seemed to happen. I never tracked ovulation. Just stopped taking the pill, carried on having sex as normal and within 3 cycles each time I fell pregnant.

Obviously when I fell pregnant in September it was within 3 cycles which was great, and again I just took it for granted things would go like before. So when I mc I was devastated. It’s made me super obsessive now! That’s when I started tracking everything and became a poas addict!

I’m wondering if I should start taking anything else. Currently I take folic acid and vit d each day. Obviously this month I also took soy isoflavones on cd 3-7. But I read lots about other women taking all sorts, so wonder if I should add anything else in.

What does everyone else take?

@Moominmiss Oh wow number 4 how lush Smile Well thing is i'm being a bit optimistic hoping it will happen this month. My sister fell pregnant with her 2 on first cycle after coming off the pill so I'm hoping it will run in the genes lol. Haha I love the way you worded that with all Christmases coming at once Grin We were due to get married yesterday but obviously it got postponed... So we have rescheduled for may next year, and I said I wanted to start ttc now! Which was a massive shock for DP as I ALWAYS said I wanted to get pregnant after getting married! But if we don't catch this month then we need to stop for a while really, only cos my due date would be far close to the new wedding date haha! Do you recommend any ovulation kits or anything? I've used the fit bit tracker on the fit bit app, and the tracker on MumsNet... I Just worry they aren't as accurate you know? Good luck to you on baby number 4! Can't wait to hear how you get on Smile

Ourfirst2020 · 04/05/2020 21:02

I'm on 6dpo and I had a burning sensation which never seemed to go away since yesterday but after taking pregnacare this afternoon the symptom seem gone. I'm worried about it because my period is also due on the 12 and I'm going crazy right now waiting...Hmm

BabyDust13 · 04/05/2020 21:15

I've only been taking folic acid but I've ordered some of the seven seas vitamins as I've heard good things about them.

@Moominmiss sounds like you had the same experience as me I used clear blue digital for both mine i'd never even heard of chemicals before.

I use my Fitbit and the clue app to track stuff this is the first month I've attempted to use OPKs but they are pretty confusing.

Ive got all my fingers crossed and a large pile of pregnancy tests at the ready

I think it's too early for any symptoms but I did randomly break out in loads of spots this morning

Mrsirvine · 04/05/2020 22:38

Hi ladies, can I join! Not quite 2dpo , my o day is today (I think) so will be testing a day or two after you all, love a good line spot lol xxx

BabyDust13 · 04/05/2020 22:39

@Mrsirvine 🙋🏻‍♀️

Mrsirvine · 04/05/2020 22:42

Hi, I’ve been taking pregnacare! I Was taking the seven seas pre conception then moved to this when I got preg. I had a mc and I’ve just stayed on pregnacarr, doctor said it was fine as it was just a multivitamin xx

Moominmiss · 04/05/2020 23:07

@WineLover1234 oh wow, I’m sorry about your wedding, I know of a few people that have had to postpone their weddings. I can’t imagine the stress!
Haha, I hear you can get some rather fetching maternity wedding dresses......
As for ovulation kits, I don’t use anything fancy so I’d have no idea what to recommend. I literally just use the one step ic tests from eBay, and I track my cycles using the premom app and an app called period tracker. That’s literally it!
If I slept well at night I’d consider charting my bbt but I don’t, I wake frequently through the night and am just generally a terrible sleeper and from what I know you need to have slept pretty well for it to be accurate.

@Ourfirst2020 hmmm, I’ve no idea about the burning sensation. But it seems just about anything could be a symptom. Keep us updated!

@BabyDust13 I might start taking a multivitamin of something kind. It can’t hurt can it?!
I’m with you on being ready to test!! I had 50 more one step cheapies arrive and I have 4 frers here if needed 🤞🏻
The spot outbreak could turn out to be a good sign, especially if it’s unusual for you! 🤞🏻

@Mrsirvine welcome!! I think pregnancies was what I took during my pregnancies years ago. I think the only reason I haven’t this time is I remember them being a bit pricey. But they are great for containing everything you need! Good luck to you!!!

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/05/2020 23:24

Original poster I'm due 17th May too and 2dpo so I'd love to join this thread. 8 months trying for first. I ovulate early so think that's why we've not been successful so far. Need to not google all symptoms this month as I convinced myself last month and then it's just crushing when AF comes!

Mrsirvine · 04/05/2020 23:30

@Moominmiss they’re 3 for 2 in Tesco so work out really reasonable if you’re from the uk . I just figured at least if I get preg I don’t have to switch. I used Holland and Barrett ones before and they weren’t for pregnancy. After 2 miscarriages this year I’m also extra cautious ! As I say they’re the price of a bottle of wine lmao! Xxx

Mrsirvine · 04/05/2020 23:32

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck! I’m due 19th May I think. It’s very crushing. I think when you’re actively ttc its obsessive . It’s hard not to get consumed by it. We’re all in the same boat as you. Fingers crossed for you all xxx

MinnieMD · 04/05/2020 23:33

Hi folks!
First time on this section of the boards, also due AF 17th May and 2dpo.
6 months trying, our first. Appear to have ovulated twice last month which really messed with my head and then AF arrived.
Been taking folic acid and use Ovia app, which seems helpful!

Mrsirvine · 04/05/2020 23:37

@minniemd hi! I didn’t even realise people could ov twice !! Fingers crossed for us all. I’m using femometer app xx

DressingGownofDoom · 05/05/2020 01:22

Just be careful with the vitamins as they can length your luteal phase, and make you think you're pregnant when AF doesn't show when in fact you've just buggered up your cycle by taking vitamins (seven seas are the worst for this! Good if you have a short lp though)

BabyDust13 · 05/05/2020 10:43

Morning all 5DPO and counting

Moominmiss · 05/05/2020 11:43

Hi to all the new ladies joining the thread 🙋🏼‍♀️

@notyetamumbuttrying not symptom spotting is literally the hardest thing as it’s literally impossible to ignore what’s going on with your body and how you’re feeling, so then almost everything becomes a symptom and just adds to the huge disappointment when you keep seeing bfn’s or af shows up!

@Mrsirvine oh I didn’t know they were on offer in tescos! That makes them seem far more reasonable! And when you put it like that about a bottle of wine....I may try to pick some up. Like you say it’s quite handy that you can then continue taking them throughout pregnancy too.

@MinnieMD welcome, wow ovulating twice! I can see how that might mess your cycles up a little. But with that happening, does that mean you have double the chance to fall pregnant? Sorry I’m clueless, lol. Or did you just get 2 lh surges and only one actual release of an egg?
Good luck though, I’m keeping my fingers tightly crossed for all of us here in. Would love to see this turn into a lucky thread!

@DressingGownofDoom I’ve heard about lots of vitamins that can affect the length of your cycle in different ways, but do you know which ones you would consider as pretty safe and standard to take? Other than the vit d and folic avid I already take?

@BabyDust13 3dpo today for me, it literally drags so much. To think I’m at least a week away really before I should even consider testing, and even then it’d be early.

OP posts:
Mrsirvine · 05/05/2020 14:26

@BabyDust13 it’s gonna be the longest week of your life, hopefully its worth it for you lol xx

@Moominmiss I swear I justify the cost of everything by comparing it. Like would I buy a £3 magazine or a bunch of lilies at a 5er and then not want to spend it on something else. lol! I’d say they’re online too but I like to whack stuff in my shopping xxx

BattenburgBerry · 05/05/2020 14:35

Me! I think I’m 1 or 2DPO. Didn’t quite manage to catch the peak on an OPK though as wasn’t paying too much attention! Feel like we’ve done enough BD to cover all areas so fingers crossed. Just waiting to see now, and going to hold off testing for fear of a no go this month.
However, this is my first cycle of TTC for baby no.1 so not holding out much hope as only just come off the pill.
Having massive worries about the current corona crisis though, must keep calm, it will all be fine.

Hopingfor2021 · 05/05/2020 14:59

Hello, hope you don´t mind me joining. 7dpo today, been trying to conceive number 2 since December 2019. Have had 4 miscarriages during this time, last one in March this year. Don´t have much hope for this month but you never know (daffodil)
