Anyone want to join me...2dpo

I never seem to quite fit into any of the existing posts so thought I’d create my own.

Feel free to join me.

I ‘think’ I’m due af around 17th May, but knowing me will start testing from around 11th onwards as I’m a total poas addict.

I say I think that’s when my af is due because in the past my cycles have been around 37 dats long. Ovulating around cd22.

But thus cycle I took soy isoflavones after researching about them, hearing they can bring ovulation forward, and amazingly I got my positive ovulation test on cd14! So if my luteal phase remains the same which I think it’s meant to, then I’d be due af 14 days after that (my luteal phase is 14 days long).

I’ve been known to test from 7dpo though so not holding out much hope of me staying strong 😂 that’s the trouble with having a ton of ic tests burning a hole in my drawer!

Good luck to everyone else.

Hello everyone,
Long time lurker, never had the courage to ever post... would it be ok if I joined please? I’m 40 (only just 😂) but wanting a third, it will be the first for my OH. MM in 2018 then a CP last cycle. I’m currently 2dpo and trying desperately not to symptom spot 🙈. It’s so lovely knowing that there are so many of us going through this, I love reading about all your thoughts & experiences, it’s a huge help xxx

BabyDust13 · 05/05/2020 23:07

Welcome @Blondiemum1980

@Moominmiss just thought I'd let you know I had very mixed feed back about seven seas so I'm not sure I'll take it now. It seems it can make your cycle longer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pol96 · 05/05/2020 23:28

Hi @Blondiemum1980 I'm also 2dpo and trying not to symptom spot! So sorry about your previous loses x

Educationstudiesstudent1234 · 06/05/2020 07:14

Update .... couldn’t resist which I knew I wouldn’t (if there’s any hint of a chance in any given cycle like symptoms or late period then I test test test!) and it’s still negative! But still absolutely no sign of period!? So very strange. I’m getting anxiety now! (And poor lol)

Mrsirvine · 06/05/2020 07:57

Sorry @education how many dpo are you? Xx

Educationstudiesstudent1234 · 06/05/2020 08:34

@Mrsirvine my cycle day 1 was 10/4/20. Ovulated 21/4/20 (clear blue ovulation test solid smiley) Brown stringy CM on 3/5/20 (12 DPO) and period was due 4/5/20 so 25 day cycle. I am now 2 days late (27 day cycle) and 15 DPO . Thoughts??

Mrsirvine · 06/05/2020 09:45

Ooh that’s a strange one. I would have thought if you were preg you’d have gotten a bfp, sorry :( maybe af is late 😩 xx

Flamingle909 · 06/05/2020 10:19

Is it ok if I join too? My fiance and I are TTC our first - both aged 33. I came off the pill over a year ago to see what the hell actually happens with my body when I have periods! Was on the pill for about 15 years so thought it would take ages for my cycles to regulate (they were awful before I went on the pill). But basically immediately I was on a regular cycle again which was a relief! We've been using condoms since I came off the pill and I've been tracking my cycle using Clue but still not quite clear on all this fertile window stuff! I randomly took a clearblue digital ovulation test on Sunday and it came back showing peak fertility! I'm hoping I can be more organised next month and test earlier so I can see when fertility is increasing and make the most of that time too. I'm pretty clueless about it all and also don't understand all the acronyms but am keen to learn! I don't want to become too obsessive though. Any tips on walking the fine line between being informed and going full-on fertility obsessed?!

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 10:23

Hi @Flamingle909 I can't really help I'm full on obsessed at the mo. Looking through Mumsnet brings me back down to Earth a bit. I'm still yet to master using ovulation sticks. I'm 33 as well on month 9. Good luck to you

Educationstudiesstudent1234 · 06/05/2020 11:41

@msirvine ... i can’t get over it was negative again today Hmm. No period yet I don’t understand. I’m not sure if I can deal with yet another month of disappointment. I know some ladies have been TTC a lot longer than 18 months. But with my friends poppin them out left right and centre, the last year n half has felt a life time already. Struggling mentally with it allSad.

Don’t want to turn this into a depressing feed tho. So how is everyone else doing? Any good news?

Fingers crossed for u all x

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 11:46

Is anyone else using the Premom app? Just getting it set up in case I need it next month

Moominmiss · 06/05/2020 12:01

Hi @Blondiemum1980 and @Flamingle909! Nice to have you both join us in here.

I’m not sure if I’m full on ttc obsessed yet or not. All I do really is take my vitamins, and start taking opk’s from a few days before I think I’ll ovulate. And try to make sure we dtd af the right times. I don’t want to get caught up with the whole temping thing. Although after reading another thread I’m now watching my rhr on my Fitbit 🙈

Oh and @BabyDust13 I use the premom app. It’s pretty good for picking out your peak ovulation test once you upload them.

Moominmiss · 06/05/2020 12:03

@BabyDust13 here’s this cycles ovulation tests. Usually I’d have started testing a good few dats before I suspect ovulation but in all honesty I didn’t expect the soy to have really done anything in terms of bringing it forward!

Moominmiss · 06/05/2020 12:05

Like I’m going to start doing some opk’s from today onwards too as this is when I’d usually start testing in order to see the lines getting darker before my peak at cd22. I just want to hopefully rule out cd14 being a false surge. I want to know that that really was my true ovulation this month

OP posts:
BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 12:31

@Moominmiss thanks for sharing I'm thinking it will make my life much easier because OPKs are not my friend. Im really not keen to start temping it's a bit much for me. I've input all my info and it's put me back at 5DPO 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Moominmiss · 06/05/2020 12:41

@BabyDust13 that’s ok. I also don’t want to go down the route of temping etc. As you say, for me I think it’s a little too much.
So have you so far just logged your last af and average cycle length etc? I think it’s more accurate once it has some ovulation tests to go on. At the moment it will just go on when it estimates you’d have ovulated based on your cycle length etc I think. I’m not sure though. How many dpo did you think you were?

DressingGownofDoom · 06/05/2020 12:52

Only 4 dpo and the temptation to poas is strong BlushConfused

Lovebug06 · 06/05/2020 12:59

Hiya can I join. I'm on cycle 3 trying for number 1. My AF is due 18th. By the app I should have ovulated Monday (4th) but the last two months ive had the cervical mucus (sorry TMI) about 4 days before that so I must be ovulating early does anyone know am I right or getting this wrong? It makes me confused as to when to count my ovulation from as I still had some pains until yesterday (5th). So I'm not sure my fertile window. I don't want to buy the sticks yet as I know I'll get obsessed so wondering if anyone would have any idea from what I've said above, thankyou! Fingers crossed ladies.

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 13:03

@Moominmiss I thought 6 so not far out I've also in put all the days we DTD and it's covered all the important days bar 1 so I'm pretty happy with that. My FRERs still haven't arrived so that's a good thing

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 13:05

@Lovebug06 I can't tell by my CM I get it about a week before ovulation which is a bit annoying. Good luck

Moominmiss · 06/05/2020 13:10

@DressingGownofDoom same!!! I’m dying to poas. Every wee I do seems like a waste if I’m not peeing on a stick 😂🙈

Hi @Lovebug06, I’ve always read that the ewcm that you associate with ovulation usually starts a few days before ovulation, and then gets more watery as ovulation gets closer. I’m no expert though. So if that’s the case then I would think your app could be on track. Although have you thought about trying some opk’s to confirm things? Then you could start taking tests once you see the ewcm and keep doing them until you get a positive. Then you’ll know that ovulation is going to occur 12-24 hours following the positive test.

Oh @BabyDust13 what I’d give to be 6dpo lol. 4dpo seems sooooo early and a real lifetime away from being close to testing.

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 13:15

@Moominmiss I'm definitely going to cave at the weekend if the FRERs don't turn up I have some cheapies

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 13:19

Does anyone else love looking at baby names or is that just me 😂

Moominmiss · 06/05/2020 13:25

@BabyDust13 oh 100% from the weekend I’ll be testing 🙈 I’ll only be 7dpo on Saturday but I know it won’t stop me 😂

And we have our names picked out already 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈 unless something else was to come along and scream out at me.

BabyDust13 · 06/05/2020 13:36
