Anyone want to join me...2dpo

I never seem to quite fit into any of the existing posts so thought I’d create my own.

Feel free to join me.

I ‘think’ I’m due af around 17th May, but knowing me will start testing from around 11th onwards as I’m a total poas addict.

I say I think that’s when my af is due because in the past my cycles have been around 37 dats long. Ovulating around cd22.

But thus cycle I took soy isoflavones after researching about them, hearing they can bring ovulation forward, and amazingly I got my positive ovulation test on cd14! So if my luteal phase remains the same which I think it’s meant to, then I’d be due af 14 days after that (my luteal phase is 14 days long).

I’ve been known to test from 7dpo though so not holding out much hope of me staying strong 😂 that’s the trouble with having a ton of ic tests burning a hole in my drawer!

Good luck to everyone else.

@BabyDust13 i said I’d like to lol. Whether I could actually keep it secret in reality is another thing 😂 it’s great that your oh is so observant. My partner is seriously clueless 🙄

@BattenburgBerry this place is honestly a godsend to me. I look forward to reading yours and everyone else’s updates along the way. Good or bad news it’ll be nice having people who really know what’s going on.

@Hopingfor2021 oh god, you’ve really been through it too, I’m so sorry. It really never gets any easier does it.

I’m not quite symptom spotting yet, I have to keep reminding myself that 2dpo it would be physically impossible to be feeling anything pregnancy related lol.
As for doing anything different this month, nothing really. I did miss a day during my fertile window which I’m super annoyed about. But I took the soy isoflavones this cycle to try and bring forward ovulation which it seemed to do, so that’ll be the only thing. I’ve heard it’s like natures clomid so would be interesting to see if its had a positive effect!

Oh and @BattenburgBerry frer is a type of pregnancy test - first response early result x

Missing a day dtd can help build up better quality sperm or something can’t it?! Xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/05/2020 17:59

Anyone on here ovulate early? I ovulate day 10 and I read ideally it needs to be day 11 onwards to about 21 so that the egg is mature. Looks like I'm releasing immature eggs and that could be my problem? I've got some chaste berries on order that are meant to push back ovulation. We've been trying 8 months now.

BabyDust13 · 05/05/2020 17:59

@Mrsirvine 100% agree with you. I just think it will happen when the perfect little baby is ready to be made. This is keeping my hopes up so far I can imagine it wears off eventually but I'm on month 9 and know others that have been trying a lot longer and had more upset along the way than me so... positive thoughts it is

Hopingfor2021 · 05/05/2020 18:07

I never thought I would be posting on Mumsnet (sorry that probably sounds really judgemental) but i'm so glad I did!! I have been paranoid my comments will show up on my social media or something Grin

Both me and my husbands are taking vitamins, cod oil and d-vitamin spray but I doubt it makes much difference!! I also took Clomid this month as I have polycystic ovaries and might not always ovulate. TBH I think I do but I'm hoping it makes my ovulation somewhat "stronger" if that makes sense. I often have low progesterone levels which I think might affect my pregnancies.
I'm trying not to symptom spot.. i normally feel very tired in the 2ww and today I have felt a bit crampy too (hoping its implantation?). I might cave and take FRER on Friday (9-10dpo) so I can have some guilt-free wine on the weekend!

xxx

Mrsirvine · 05/05/2020 18:19

@notyetamumbuttrying I don’t know anything about early ovulation but this forum is a mine field of info so I hope someone can help. Good luck! Xx

@BabyDust13 baby#2 took me 13 months, and we stopped trying (nearly separated) had sex once (on the leasT fertile day of the month ) and got preg. 🤣 last two pregs we just dtd whenever and for preg quick. Hoping I get preg quick again but with a sticky this time xx

Mrsirvine · 05/05/2020 18:21

@Hopingfor2021 lol I thought I was being discreet coming on here 😩🤣 my name choice is horrendous lol.

Early testing is far too tempting ... if you get bfn you could defo have some wine! Xx

BabyDust13 · 05/05/2020 18:22

@Mrsirvine I have (believe it or not) tried to be a bit more relaxed this month we definitely haven't DTD as much but I think I ovulated around CD16. I can't read OPKs for the life of me so gave up trying and just went with the app. Hopefully it will work

Mrsirvine · 05/05/2020 18:25

@BabyDust13 I would love it if this was the month you caught. I would love us all to love to bfp announcements together! They are saying there’s gonna be a massive baby boom in the new year , and a massive rise in divorces apparently 🤣 xx

Moominmiss · 05/05/2020 19:06

@Mrsirvine yeah I’ve also heard that missing a day and dtd every other day can actually be better for quality of sperm. But after checking my supposed fertile window again in my app I don’t think I’ve left much hope for it happening this cycle.

I got my peak on an ovulation test on Friday 1st May, meaning my ovulation day was Saturday 2nd May. That puts my fertile window starting from Monday 27th April right through until Sunday 2nd May.
Well out of all those possible days we only did it on 28th April, 1st, 2nd, 3rd May. So I missed out on 27th, 29th, 30th April.
Can already feel me going into another cycle next month.

@notyetamumbuttrying I’ve no experience of ovulating early, I’ve been ovulating around cd22 until this cycle when I took soy to bring it forward. But I’ve read a lot on here about women taking something called vitex to lengthen their follicular phase. Could be worth looking into?

Oooh @Hopingfor2021 that’s quite exciting about the clomid. I’ve heard lots of success stories from ladies that have taken it. I’m keeping everything crossed for you. I can’t imagine what it’s like to have PCOS. And I’m very jealous of the fact you’ll be able to test this week! Really hope that cramping you felt was implantation!! Maybe you could be the one to start off a lucky streak for us all!

Let's make this a super lucky thread sprinkle that baby dust everywhere 🌈🥰🤞🏼 👼🏻🤰🏻

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/05/2020 20:54

Thanks @Moominmiss I have ordered some of these so hopefully they help! Coming from America I think so will take another week to arrive yet. I really hope they work as really do think this has been my problem so far.

Hopingfor2021 · 05/05/2020 21:17

@Moominmiss Sounds like you got plenty done in the fertility window, 1st May probably most important! Don't worry about those 3 days before. Interesting about the soy to shorten cycles. I normally ovulate around CD19...which is so frustrating as each cycle takes over a month!!

@notyetamumbuttrying I tried Agnus cactus/Vitex to try to lengthen my luteal phase but all it did was make me start AF 7 days early!! I have however heard it really helps others so maybe its worth the try?

To try to balance my hormones I have also been taking maca root and eating plenty of progesterone fuelling food. I also do seed cycling (first half helps follicles mature and second building up progesterone) you can look at that here www.healthline.com/nutrition/seed-cycling

I have also tried castor oil packs and accupressure. You can read some explanations here: raisedgood.com/five-fertility-secrets-wish-id-known-sooner/

I really hope many of us get BFP this month!!

WineLover1234 · 05/05/2020 21:33

@Moominmiss good job on the thread a lot of people have hopped on 🥰🥰 I ordered some ovulation tests today. My fertile week is meant to be next week so hopefully they will come on time. I'm intrigued on how well they will work. Hello to everyone else on this thread. Lots of love and baby dust to you all 👶👶👶👶♥️♥️♥️♥️

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/05/2020 21:37

Wow thank you @Hopingfor2021 that's so kind of you to share those links! Will defo look into them. I'm new to Mumsnet and wasn't sure if it was right for me with not being a mum yet but it's great! Smile

Staffymumma · 05/05/2020 21:54

Hi all! I’m 2 dpo hope it’s okay for me to join?!

I was originally due AF 10th May but ovulated a week late (due to CP) so now due 17th May! Fingers crossed for us all xx

Educationstudiesstudent1234 · 05/05/2020 22:07

Hello! I’m danni , 31, married 3 1/2 years. Diagnosed with Endometriosis 18 months ago and desperately TTC ever since but with Zero luck Sad

But this month my cycle day 1 was 10/4/20. Ovulated 21/4/20. Brown stringy CM on 3/5/30 (12 DPO) and period due yesterday 4/5/20 but no sign of period? When should I test!? Could I be expecting my BFP finally??????? Star. Please share any similar experiences or just thoughts !!!!! Going mad here!!!!!

BabyDust13 · 05/05/2020 22:11

@Staffymumma sorry to hear about your chemical I've had a couple and they made me an emotional wreck for a bit

@Educationstudiesstudent1234 I honestly don't know how you have the self control to not test before now. Good luck to you hope you get your BFP when you are ready to test

Educationstudiesstudent1234 · 05/05/2020 22:14

Oh sorry no i have tested (lol!!! Couldn’t wait after TTC 18 months!) but they’re negative? I don’t understand as I’m late and I’m never late. And what about the stringy brown cm 2 days ago? (12 DPO) is that AF sign??? Or implantation??? (Ps thankyou for responding I’m going insane here!) Confused

Moominmiss · 05/05/2020 22:20

@Hopingfor2021 I’m really hoping the few times we managed to dtd over actual ovulation will have been enough. Otherwise I’ll have to step up efforts next cycle.
I was so frustrated with ovulating late on cd22, then with a 15 day luteal phase it was making my cycles 37 days long. The soy has definitely helped this month after ovulating this time on cd14 so 🤞🏻

@WineLover1234 I’m so pleased to see so many ladies have joined the thread. More the merrier. It’s so so nice to share this with, and be able to talk to others that are at a similar stage with things. Really hoping this turns into a lucky thread!

@Staffymumma of course it’s ok for you to join!! Hopefully we can all support each other through the longest 2 weeks ever!!

OP posts:
Moominmiss · 05/05/2020 22:23

@Educationstudiesstudent1234 I’ve read that an egg can take anywhere from 6-12 days to implant, so in theory the brown discharge you had ‘could’ be implantation happening hence why any tests up to now have been negative. If your af doesn’t arrive in the next few days it would definitely be worth retesting!! Will keep everything crossed for you!

OP posts:
Educationstudiesstudent1234 · 05/05/2020 22:27

@BabyDust13 @moominmiss thankyou so much. It’s so tempting to test every morning but it’s costing me a bomb Grin a series of tests daily every month lol. I know what I’m like I will test In the morning and check back in xxxx nice to finally talk to someone thankyou

BabyDust13 · 05/05/2020 22:34

@Educationstudiesstudent1234 I read a post the other day and they didn't get there BFP until 16DPO so there's still time 🌈

Moominmiss · 05/05/2020 22:38

@Educationstudiesstudent1234 of it really can start costing a small fortune. That’s why I order loads of cheap tests from eBay, the one step dip test ones. I have like 75 of them here. So I use those to satisfy my poas addiction from like 8dpo onwards lol. Then if I get any hint of a line on a few of those tests, I’ll crack open one of my frer’s!
But if you can restrain yourself then I’d definitely recommend that! I wouldn’t ever encourage anyone to be as obsessed with poas as I am 😂

@BabyDust13 thank you, I’ve had 2 the past 2 consecutive cycles and they’re so sad aren’t they. I’m sorry you’ve gone through them aswell! Hopefully this is all our month xx
