Hello Ladies.

I’m mid 30s ttc my first. I was on the depo before, I know that causes issues to fertility and it will take longer. It was three months before my periods came back but I’ve been regular as clockwork since. Fairly certain I’m ovulating (lot of signs pointing to it) but still no baby. Im due again in the next couple of days and I can tell I’m going to come on.

I tried with my ex a few years ago for 7/8 months (although it was a very half hearted and not really a surprise it didn’t happen.) I wanted a baby for different reasons back then and got very upset every month. I was determined not to get as upset and try be more relaxed with my new partner but I’m starting to find it hard.

How do you cope with the disappointment of another failed cycle?

Thank you! I am going to TRY so hard not to symptom spot and just go with the flow but as we all know it's pretty impossible lol. I agree with the testing rather than waiting on AF. I find it agonising and I'd just rather know one way or the other then I can move on than continue to hope. I will try hard to resist and hold out thought. I just keep thinking of that sentence someone said in the thread back, every month we are getting closer to our BFP. 🤞

Haven't heard of seed cycling! Will need to look into it. I learn about so much on here! One thing I have been doing is eating some walnuts and Brazil nuts each day (one or the other each day) as I read they were good for fertility 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Twinkletoes85 · 03/06/2020 11:01

@Hoping41 I will look into that! I’m willing to give anything a go.

I’ve had sore boobs constantly since ovulation, only to touch or if I go downstairs quickly it’s a bit uncomfortable. I’m pretty sure we didn’t dtd at the right times this month though and the more I’m awake today the more af signs I’m feeling. So it seems my sore boobs are probably from lifting things in the garden 😂 on to the next month it is and we’re dtd even if the boy feels ill

That's true about testing and then knowing. I dont normally do that as I hate the bfns even more than af. But I'm nearly sorry I didnt test this morning just to put myself out of my misery!

@twinkletoes85 do you normally have sore boobs after ovulation?

Twinkletoes85 · 03/06/2020 12:07

@fifol on and off during my cycle I do but not normally for this long. But then I had new aches and pains last month, sore knees etc that I don’t have this month 🤷🏼‍♀️

When is af due for you?

OP posts:
Fifol · 03/06/2020 12:10

@twinkletoes85 yeah I know what you mean sometimes I'll feel something new but it's not necessarily new or it doesn't mean anything. I also convince myself my boobs look different!

Af due today or tomorrow. My boobs are still sore and my temp is still the same since ovulation but this is my first month tracking it so not totally sure what should be happening, think it's supposed to dip the day or before af. Feeling a bit crampy but nothing major yet, keeping everything crossed!

jessmcg · 03/06/2020 12:14

@KK251289 Thanks so much. It’s going to be delicious food and chill for the next couple of days! And some good tv. 🙂

@MummyOfZog I so feel you and thanks for your note. I know what you mean, everywhere you look there is family and pregnancy and the longer things go on, the less attainable and less achieve able it all feels. Try to stay positive though if you can, you’re at an exciting point of your cycle before the dreaded 2WW / hormones begin. I’m so sorry that you were faced with all that news though and all in one go - it hurts and it never gets any easier, or at least I don’t think it does! Xx

jessmcg · 03/06/2020 12:17

@Fifol I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that it’s your month this month! Your temps are meant to drop 1-2 days before AF comes. Mine still hasn’t dropped yet, but I predict it probably will tomorrow if I’m meant to be coming on on Friday. Xx

Fifol · 03/06/2020 12:19

Thanks @jessmcg I will keep you all posted anyway!

PinkFlamingoGirl · 03/06/2020 12:43

Good luck @fifol 🤞🤞🤞

Twinkletoes85 · 03/06/2020 13:14

@Fifol I always think my boobs seem different but I know they change anyway. This is the first month my boyfriends commented on them seeming bigger. I’d done ok not to think about it until then

It’s good to still have a raised temp isn’t it? I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Ooh, lots of positive signs on here this morning - high temps and sore boobs. Fingers crossed for you all!

Nat4392 · 03/06/2020 14:10

Hi, just having a catch up, seed cycling sounds interesting, I’ll have to look into that.
Nothing to report for me, I’m 6 or 7DPO depending on which brand of OPK I go off and literally no symptoms. I actually don’t have sore boobs this month which by this point I normally do. But NOT having sore boobs surely can’t be a sign of anything!

jessmcg · 03/06/2020 14:40

@Nat4392 It’s early days for you! You might not even have implanted yet. Have everything crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞

Have any of your other halves had semen testing done? My husband is booked in tomorrow and we've just had a moment of him stressing about the potential results. My doctor mentioned that the labs can be a bit 'mean' and always find something to say which can be improved. I just wondered how anyone elses results had been and the sorts of things that can come up. Thanks

Hoping41 · 04/06/2020 06:28

@tilly1403 is he going to the gp? My oh went for his and it came back low. We weren't given any information other than that I think there's 3 things the look for (how many, if they are damaged and how many swim? I may be wrong there). He had to go again 3 months later so I bought him a few vitamins and he cut back on alcohol. He's not been back yet (due to Corona and not wanting to). We need my bloods and his 2 samples before the gp will refer us to the fertility clinic.

Kitttycatt · 04/06/2020 07:07

@Tilly1403 Hi no not yet, he was booked in but it got cancelled and he hasn’t got a new date despite us going to the fertility clinic soon. Maybe he will have one then?
Hope it all goes ok!

Twinkletoes85 · 04/06/2020 07:25

I actually have started a new thread now called 7 months ttc (cont of 6 months ttc) so when this fills up we can jump over 😊

Thanks ladies ❤️

Seafrontsky · 04/06/2020 08:51

@Tilly1403 my DH had tests, yes they check for quantity, quality and whether they swim in the right direction DH had slightly low quantity apparently but it was almost in the normal range so they decided not to do anything about it. Loose boxers, lots of water, sleep and regular DTD is all he can do really. Its normal to worry about it I think but once you know apparently it's easy to improve any slightly low results through diet and other things. Good luck!

jessmcg · 04/06/2020 09:30

@Tilly1403 my OH is having a test at a private clinic on Monday. I’ll let you know how it goes!

AF came this morning - knew it would after my BFN yesterday, so thankfully I’m feeling ok.

I’ve been looking at my charts and I think my BBT is too low in the first half of my cycle. I sit around 36 degrees or just below which apparently is pretty low. Anyone else seen this? Apparently it can be a thyroid issue - waiting on bloods to come back at the moment so let’s see what they say....

Twinkletoes85 · 04/06/2020 09:38

@Jessmcg sorry to hear about af but I’m glad you’re feeling ok about it.

I haven’t seen it but that does sound quite low. Apparently ‘normal’ body temp is somewhere between 36.1 and 37.2 (but I’m in no way an expert!) when are you expecting your blood results?

Hoping41 · 04/06/2020 09:42

@jessmcg sorry af has arrived. Another month, another chance! 🤞I've only just bought my thermometer so only used it for the first time this morning so I'm no help. It does seem to have a reference section with 6 graphs showing different situations that might be of help to you?

Hoping41 · 04/06/2020 09:43

@twinkletoes85 thanks for the new thread. I'll go see if I can find it now 😀

notyetamumbuttrying · 04/06/2020 10:18

Can you copy the link across @Twinkletoes85 for the new thread? Hope everyone's good! I need to catch up on msgs later as busy day today!
