Hello Ladies.

I’m mid 30s ttc my first. I was on the depo before, I know that causes issues to fertility and it will take longer. It was three months before my periods came back but I’ve been regular as clockwork since. Fairly certain I’m ovulating (lot of signs pointing to it) but still no baby. Im due again in the next couple of days and I can tell I’m going to come on.

I tried with my ex a few years ago for 7/8 months (although it was a very half hearted and not really a surprise it didn’t happen.) I wanted a baby for different reasons back then and got very upset every month. I was determined not to get as upset and try be more relaxed with my new partner but I’m starting to find it hard.

How do you cope with the disappointment of another failed cycle?

@Twinkletoes85 Yep! I’m finding it a really good read. Would definitely recommend. Not to mention the fact it’s reassuring me that I’m not an obsessive weirdo, it’s got loads of good info in it!

Morning all, just having a catch up on this thread. I took it really badly this month AF showing up so just been keeping myself to myself the last few days. I get really unwell the first few days when she arrives anyway but feel so much better today, ready to eat healthy, plenty of water and go again!

@jessmcg I've read that, well some of it, its huge. But definitely has a huge amount of information.

I also read a book called The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getying Pregnant and highly recommend. It's much shorter than the other one and has a bit of humour as well but was just really informative and encouraging.

I'm due AF sometime from Wednesday to Friday. Symptom spotting like crazy of course! But not much to report. Dull cramps but not really unusual for me as my cramps have varied the last few cycles. My boobs have gotten a bit sorer, I woke this morning and they were sore without even touching them. Again though not too unusual as it has varied a good bit the last few cycles too, they were barely tender for 2 days last time. I'm just staying hopeful. @jessmcg we're not out til we're out keeping everything crossed for both of us!!

@jaxs23 everything crosses for you too, are you going to wait a couple of days before testing again?

@KK251289 hey, welcome back, totally understand the wanting to detach from it all for a few days. Glad you are feeling better.

So DH and I managed to DTD twice yesterday (holy moles, that's never happened since the honeymoon infatuation days 😂 ). I still have a positive opk this morning again. I know you can stop testing from the first positive but I just wanted to see. Is it normal for LH to be high for a couple of days? I'm sick of googling stuff!! I have googled this and I think the answer is yes but just wondering if anyone else has this?

Going to jump on him later again (once will be enough today though 🤪) I think he thinks I'm some sort of sex crazed addict when really I just want a baby !!! Lol 🙈 I do love sex with him very much and I make an effort to be at it with him the whole month regularly but if I'm totally honest, I can't deny that I'm much more motivated for it during F/W 😂.

@notyetamumbuttrying so far my GP has just been looking after me in that respect. She did say that we'll talk about next steps, so she might be willing to do some test for DH. I don't know how keen he'll be, but he will do it because he wants a baby too and he feels terrible that I'm the one going through the chemicals, random nausea, and period pains.

@PinkFlamingoGirl I'm glad those stats helped. I was trying to reassure myself, so I'm glad others feel a bit better too!

@Fifol I also read the Impatient Woman’s Guide! Loved it. I’m finding that reading these things helps me feel like I’m doing something positive towards TTC. Frankly I realise now that we weren’t really trying hard enough when we started TTC last September - we weren’t really pinpoint then to DTD and have only really got on top of that properly over the past couple of months. So, let’s see what happens.
Have my fingers crossed for us that this month might bring some luck / joy! 🤞 I’m not feeling hugely hopeful, but you never know. Xx

Twice in one day and every single day since Thurs and every second day before that since AF went away. If I don't fall pg this month, it's not for lack of shagging 😂😂😂

I've downloaded the impatient guide one. I've read chapter one already! Now I'm not going to get very much work done now today.

Mine just can't keep up so I'm lucky to get 3 days in a row max! So I always have to spread it out lol! When you due on/to test?

I’ve just bought it by accident 😂 went to have a gander and accidentally clicked the order button for kindle when scrolling. I was probably going to buy it anyway but decisions made.

I’ve also put in an enquiry for acupuncture today so hopefully I will be able to go for that soon. Not sure when you’re allowed to go for that sort of treatment

@jessmcg I'm reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility at the moment, it's really informative but massive! Going to read the Impatients Woman's Guide next.

I'm currently 11DPO, AF due on Thursday, really tempted to test tomorrow if my temps stay high. I would rather just know!

@Kitttycatt You’ll love The Impatient Woman - it actually made me laugh at points and made me realise it’s totally ok to feel a little bit (Or at lot!) crazy on this TTC journey.
Are you going to test? Exciting times! I’m 10DPO and AF due on Friday. I’m tempted to test on Weds but still weighing it all up.... eek!

Currently in bed with a decaf coffee and dark chocolate. Had horrendous cramps and pmt today (much worse than usual), so using the excuse to take it easy.

@Posy1 if your using the app when you open it there is a circle with a + in it. If you are using the website I always just click on 'last' at the top of the thread and scroll down. That sounds like a great afternoon. Sometimes we just need that chill time. Enjoy.

I don't have the @ button on the app (android) but I've just made a link to my home screen on the website to make life easier mentioning people.

I'm now sitting chilling and reading my new book on the sofa.

Just added the impatient guide book to my amazon list along with 20 cb ovulation sticks lol, and will purchase both if I come on on the 12th!
