Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

@Skyla01 @Mrsrobinson247 @SarahMS I know you wanted to join.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

TTC #1 (2nd pregnancy)
Cycle #2
AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

Can I join please?

Age 39
TTC #3
Cycle #2
3 x previous miscarriages at six, six and 12 weeks

I'm on cycle day six and planning to do smep this month if work and life in general allows it.

Last month we missed the boat a bit so hoping to throw everything we can at it this time. Time isn't exactly on our side! Grin

Beau2019 · 20/11/2019 14:29

Hi ladies! I started using OPKs on Monday morning (CD8) and yet to get a flashing smiley. Thought I would have one this morning (CD10) as my app predicts OV on friday. I'm sure I have EWCM today although early for me.

When does everyone else get EWCM and at what point do you start getting your smileys?

Katie1109 · 20/11/2019 16:50

Hi ladies x CD8 for me today. I decided to use Premom app for my opks instead of Femometer, second line started to appear, for now app says ovulation in 7 days x last cycle I had a peak CD15/16, but had a feeling it was later than usual, although I didn’t use opks before last cycle so who knows x

Testing 2nd Week December
bluebell94 · 20/11/2019 17:09

Hi everyone Smile I'm hoping to test 2nd week in December too... although my cycles are a total mess since coming off the pill in September! Currently cd9 and think I've had some ewcm today but my opk this morning was negative. I'm absolutely no good at this waiting game, I'm soooo impatient!

I'm 25 and this is 2nd cycle of TTC #1 Smile

Mango31 · 20/11/2019 17:37

@Beau2019 I'm the same as you but my cd8 was Sunday. I started having a little bit of EWCM today so I'm wondering if I will get a flashing face tomorrow. My best friend used them and never had flashing smileys at all just a random solid one and she got her bfp that month so I'm still hopeful.
Are you using cheapies too?

imnewtothis · 20/11/2019 18:21

@katie1109 - how do you find femometer? I find the lh tests really hard to read xx

Sunflower2019 · 20/11/2019 19:34

@Beau2019 they can take a while, good luck for when you get the solid :) I’m excited to try mine from Friday 😊
@Katie1109 I prefer Premom, I deleted fem and downloaded glow which I prefer although Premom is fine and I’ll keep that.

Last day of af for me tomorrow 🥰

Mrsrobinson247 · 20/11/2019 19:40

Wow so many messages @Beau2019 we are cycle buddies I have a 25 day cycle but always have done. I’m on CD9 though so a day behind you. I’m not tracking anything as got a bit obsessed last month!

Mumofboys17 · 20/11/2019 21:23

Oh wow we really all are almost in sync!
I’m CD 7 today, did plan to DTD tonight however DS1 has decided to take on an anti sleep protest tonight and is still awake and in our bed 🙄 tomorrow’s another day!! 😂😂
Excited for everyone else starting again this month! X

Katie1109 · 21/11/2019 07:11

Morning ladies x how are we x CD9 here today, getting closer!
@imnewtothis yes I found it quite difficult, depending on the quality of the photo it was reading completely different result.
@Sunflower2019 I do like the premom app, I have kept the femometer one just for reference of my last cycle opks x
Have a good day everyone x

Mango31 · 21/11/2019 08:14

CD12 and my clear blue digital is still giving s blank circle. As the EWCM started yesterday I was hoping for a smiley today.
I'm already tired of SMEP 😂 this girl needs a break. Is it just me hating the wait for ovulation? And that's before the tww!

ohreally2019 · 21/11/2019 08:34

Same here @Mango31, CD12 of 26 day cycle. Was expecting a smiley this morning, but grateful it wasn't as DH was unwell the past 2 days and we haven't been able to stick to SMEP! Talk about bad timing 🙄🤣

Mumofboys17 · 21/11/2019 09:03

@Mango31 Oh dear haha how long have you been doing SMEP is it only early days?

@ohreally2019 Lol everything happens for a reason! 😬 hopefully tomorrow is smiley face day for you x

We still haven’t ‘started’ yet this cycle!! DH works for the fire service and I work in the NHS, plus with DS1 not sleeping properly, I feel like we’ll be DTD with our eyes closed this week 😂😂 Need to get ourselves in gear!!

Sunflower2019 · 21/11/2019 09:06

Morning everyone,

Managed to dtd last night but not in fertile window so was a practise run 🤣

@Ellsbells112 how was the drs? Xx

I’m actually excited to start this clear blue things although I ordered some more and they haven’t arrived 🥺 must get on to them! I’m gonna order some easy@home cheap ones too! I watched this YouTube clip about the secret of conceiving and it said dtd twice within an hour... bloody hell... could be a task 🤪 my dp was asleep by 7.45 last night 🤦🏽‍♀️

Xxxx

Mumofboys17 · 21/11/2019 09:23

@Sunflower2019 Twice in an hour?! 😮 I mean that’s impressive if nothing else 😂😂

I’m using those cheap green strips you can get in bulk on amazon/eBay I think they’re alright!

Sunflower2019 · 21/11/2019 09:42

@Mumofboys17 well it’s been known but that was when we were first dating and cystitis was a regular occurrence 🤣🤣

I may dare him to do it and see if he manages.. although not sure I could handle it!

I’ve just ordered some cheap strips off amazon for tomorrow so will start with those and then from cd7 use my clearblue one! I hope I ovulate earlier this month, cd18 was along month!

Xx

Beau2019 · 21/11/2019 09:48

@Mango31 I'm CD11 today, I am sure I had a bit of EWCM yesterday (but very early for me) but still getting blank circles on my clear blue digital :( To be fair, last month was a 25 day cycle which is a little shorter than what I was used to (usually around 27-29 days). I''ve never used OPKs before, last time I fell pregnant cycle 3 not tracking anything but I feel weird like something has changed in 3 years :( I had a really dark line on the OPK on tues morning (but blank face on digi) and then they have got lighter the last 2 days.

Let me know how you get on!

OP posts:
Beau2019 · 21/11/2019 09:50

@Mrsrobinson247 I knoww!! How are you getting on? Have you started your OPKs yet?

OP posts:
Ellsbells112 · 21/11/2019 09:56

@Sunflower2019 hi girl, sorry I know I missed your message before! How are you? Last day of af today for us both yayyyy 😁

Doctors was ok she checked my blood results that I had done like a month before and all ovulating hormones were normal etc so that's good.

Twice in an hour!? On what day please? Lol os that on the day of ovulation pr the day prior?? Haha it's hard enough doing it every day for 4 days!! 😂😂🤷‍♀️ xxx

Sunflower2019 · 21/11/2019 13:21

I think on the day you get positive opk! @Ellsbells112 I might try it 🤣

That’s good about results, mine are fine too! Still stresses me!

Xx

Fp30 · 21/11/2019 13:36

Think I'm a little behind everyone, last day of af tomorrow hopefully, last month my ovulation was pretty late in the month, which I'm hoping for again as were in a small Airbnb with my parents the weekend before - so twice an hour would definitely be tricky! Think we're going to be sneaky around like teenagers anyway!!!!

Really looking forward to af ending and getting going again....

Going to try and convince DH to try SMEP this month, just trying to work it all out with all the Christmas festivities coming up,going to be a busy month!!

LatteLover12 · 21/11/2019 14:03

Landing over here properly as AF arrived this morning.

TTC #3
Cycle 15
CD1

Maybe I should just get another dog...?

MrsA2019 · 21/11/2019 15:22

Hi girls, it's great to hear where you are all up to and all your advice.

I've been using the ovusense sensitive OPKs and have found they are ok. I got them from Amazon and think they were around £12 for 60. To start with I used them from more of less the beginning of my cycle just to get used to them....I was amazed the first month when I finally got 2 strong lines on them!

I think I may be very slightly ahead in my cycle as I'm on CD18 today but will be due AF the first week of December. If it doesn't come I'm going to hold off as long as I can wait before testing....I was 2 days late last month and tested, BFN and then AF came the next day....don't want to disappoint myself and DH anymore than necessary!

I've had really sore boobs the last couple of days but only when I poke them (you know, just to check Grin) which I don't normally get but who knows - I'm trying not to symptom check too much but can't help it!

Hope you are all having a great day, I love this forum to know that you are not alone and everyone understands!

Smile
Mumofboys17 · 21/11/2019 15:29

@Fp30 I always ovulate late in my cycle, how long are your cycles normally? Mine seem to be anything between 30-37 days at the moment 😬 not stressing me out at all!

@LatteLover12 haha I contemplated getting another cat last month, seems much less stressful 😂😂😂

@MrsA2019 I’m really loving this thread too!! Makes me feel like I’m not the only one going mad over TTC 🙃 Bless you, try and hold off as long as you can! Keep busy and as distracted as possible, fingers and toes crossed this is THE month for you! 🤞🏻✨✨

ChampooPapi · 21/11/2019 18:04

@LatteLover12 are your other two children with your current partner? Have you had any tests? It does sound like just absolute rubbish luck and it'll just happen in the next few months if so , that is a long time. I know the other kids keep you distracted but I'm going for a third as well and I think about it ALOT 💭👣
