Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

@Skyla01 @Mrsrobinson247 @SarahMS I know you wanted to join.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

TTC #1 (2nd pregnancy)
Cycle #2
AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

💕

Morning girls!

So I started using OPKs yesterday morning, which is CD8. I'm using the clearly blue advanced ones. So anyway when I pulled the little test thing out yesterday there was a dark and a lighter line line and today 2 dark lines. One slightly lighter then the control bit only slightly. Both have given me just a blank face so negative result.

I presume this is normal? Never tested with these before. It's strange because I feel really 'heavy' and crampy since yesterday but waayyyy all soon for OV for me.

Morning ladies,

I hope everyone is getting on ok. I'm CD10 today so it's another SMEP night for us! It feels so sad when I think I have another 3 weeks till I know if it's all worked...again.

How is everyone feeling this month?

Baby dust to everyone 💓

Sunflower2019 · 19/11/2019 07:57

@Beau2019 I think the first couple of times are use the clear blue it has a blank face as it’s getting used to your cycle this may continue for another couple of days or you may start getting flashing :-)
I have a another couple of days of my AF and then on cycle day seven I’m going to start using my clear blue so not long.
I’m just wondering because of the chemical if I may bleed longer though which may mess up my cycle slightly.

@Ellsbells112 have you started af yet? Is it today you are seeing dr? Good luck!!!

Hard catching up as so many people on here now 😂😂

I was asleep by 8,30 last night must of been the reflexology! Xx

Mumofboys17 · 19/11/2019 08:07

@Mango31 Good luck!! Nervous to start SMEP this month haha, still a day or 2 of AF for me yet though.

@Beau2019 silly question, what time of day are you taking the OPK’s? I found fmu almost always had a dark test and result line but testing in the middle of the day was a bit more accurate? X

Ellsbells112 · 19/11/2019 08:41

@Sunflower2019 hey girl, glad to hear the reflexology relaxed you that much! Lol
Yes my af came yesterday!! Messed up my cycle on my app it's now telling me I ovulate later which is winding me up lol but I have the CB ready to use closer to the time! You might bleed longer or you might not, I guess it can go either way you'll have to see xx

Yep I'm seeing the doctor today at 4 :) more than anything I want help with this diarrhea every morning!! Urgh sorry tmi!! But every morning since mid last cycle it started happening! 🙄

How are you feeling? Xx

Sunflower2019 · 19/11/2019 09:04

@Ellsbells112, well we going to be close in cycle yet again aren’t we! I’m feeling okay, trying to think positive about everything atm!
I’m hoping Christmas is going to be our time ♥️
I’m not trusting my app at all as I ovulated late last month and gave up testing opks until that random one at cd18, so I’m going to use clear blue,
Would you say test once a day to begin with then when you get smiley twice or twice later on? I don’t want to miss it this time!

Good luck at the drs! Maybe it’s IBS? They may run some bloods 🤪 I hate having them done!

What app are you currently using? Xx

SarahMS · 19/11/2019 09:07

Morning guys so my af has come to an end today! CD6 I'm gonna start SMEP tomorrow and also start OPKs tomorrow aswell. I know it's early but I just wanna get used to reading them and doing them! I'm gonna struggle to do the test in the morning at work as it says I shouldn't do it on the fmu so I will be at work all day. I've been told to do two a day so I'll do one when I get home from work but will have to also do one while I'm at work which I'm still trying to figure out lol. Any tips?

Sunflower2019 · 19/11/2019 09:25

@SarahMS that’s good news! New cycle new start 🤞

I would invest in some decent opks, I like the easy@home ones as I bought onestep and there dye can be dodgy so gives a lighter result which can affect the result! I have clear blue too which I’m going to give a whirl and I’m also going to bbt this month, have just started! I would test with stick opks after 10.30 as they’re not meant to be used in the morning and give false results and if you have clear blue then that’s morning.

I can’t wait to finish af and get started 😊 xx

Altmum89 · 19/11/2019 09:29

Hi ladies..
Hope you dont mind me joining, im a newbie to this site..

Beau2019 · 19/11/2019 09:30

@Mumofboys17 I'm doing it as soon as I wake up... maybe I should take it to work and do it lunch time?

@Ellsbells112 I'm still crying at last month's story hahaa. Hope you feel better soon! Maybe it's a stress related thing?

@Sunflower2019 how are you feeling? Sending you loads of positivity this month.

Girls, we want LOTS of Chrismtas BFPs this month!

SarahMS · 19/11/2019 09:42

@Sunflower2019 yes 🤞🏼 baby dust to us all cx

I have the easy at home ones I'm gonna see how I go because I've heard some confusing things about reading OPKs but it's my first time doing them ever so I hope it's alright. I'll just have to see but I'm only 23yo so there's not much pressure to have a baby right now but I have been abit naive to think it will happen straight away. Tbh we've been told our whole teenage years to avoid getting pregnant so you would think it would be easy to fall pregnant! Nobody prepares you for this 🙈. But me and DH (25) are still young so we've still got time to figure things out if anything is an issue

sorry I went off on a bit of a tangent lol

Xxx

Ellsbells112 · 19/11/2019 10:02

@Sunflower2019 haha thanks!! I literally cant go toilet till OH leaves 😣 I think it might be all the vitamins I'm taking so I'll bring that up to her too lol probably ibs I just want it dealt with!!

I havent yet used CB! I read that you use them in the morning though I stead of afternoon? Whereas the cheaper ones you use morning and afternoon...I hope thats right! Let me know if you find out whether you test again once you have a smiley :)

I use ovia and kind of just started using glow. What about you? How wonderful would it be if our Christmas presents were bfps!!! That would be so beautiful so let's keep everything crossed xxx
How long are your periods normally? I'll probably be done by tomorrow I think xx

MotherofKitties · 19/11/2019 10:24

Hi ladies,

Joining from the previous thread.

I'll be testing first week of December.

32, TTC No.2, first cycle (35 day standard cycle so a long wait...!) so officially in the two week wait... good luck everyone! Xx

Katie1109 · 19/11/2019 10:34

Morning ladies how are we all?
I’m on CD7 today. Last cycle I ovulated cd15/16 so still a bit to go but will start OPKs on CD10, because it’s only my 2nd cycle using them x I hope there will be lots of Christmas BFP in this group x fingers crossed for all of us x

Mumofboys17 · 19/11/2019 10:49

@Beau2019 I mean I’m no expert by any means.. but I’m sure I’ve read FMU with OPK’s can be a bit uncertain and better to test with a more diluted wee? Tbh whenever I have 2 decent looking lines we DTD just in case 😂

@Katie1109 you’re so right. I was not prepared at all when we tried to get pregnant the first time, so much stress and heartbreak!

Lots and lots of baby dust to us all! ✨✨ how amazing would it be for us all to get BFP’s for Xmas!! ❤️

Mumofboys17 · 19/11/2019 10:50

Sorry - meant to tag @SarahMS in that last post not Katie 🤦🏼‍♀️
Hi to you too though!! 😬😂

Sunflower2019 · 19/11/2019 14:32

@LatteLover12 here is the next thread carrying on from our last one 🙂🙃

X

LatteLover12 · 19/11/2019 15:35

Woop! Hi everyone 😊

Thanks @Sunflower2019 xx

Mango31 · 19/11/2019 15:53

Just a general question: does anyone pay for the premium versions of fertility apps or use the free one? I'm using three at the moment and wondering if I should commit to one in premium? I just don't know if it makes much different or not xxx

amysara24 · 19/11/2019 16:15

@mango31 I paid for the annual subscription to natural cycles and quite like it - I’m not sure what the free version is like as I went straight to that! X

Mumofboys17 · 19/11/2019 16:32

@Mango31 I’m using the Ovia fertility app which is free, not sure about paid-for apps x

Sunflower2019 · 19/11/2019 16:33

@Mango31 im trying Ovia and glow atm, got Premom for the opks too xx

Mango31 · 19/11/2019 16:39

Thanks @Mumofboys17 @amysara24 @Sunflower2019

I'm using femometer, ovia and fertility friend atm. I haven't managed to pick a favourite yet but I do like how femometer scans the opks to read the lh surge. I have started temping this month so maybe I will see how I go first before buying into one

Mumofboys17 · 19/11/2019 17:18

@Mango31 I do like the sound of femometer now too! May give that one a go!

ohreally2019 · 19/11/2019 17:23

Hi ladies, jumping on board this thread...
Ttc #2, cycle 6, age 34, average 26 day cycles
Had a chemical pregnancy last cycle, AF ended on Sunday so started SMEG this week! Using CB pink digital opks which just give a 2 day window for ovulation but have been working to track so far... Also trying conceive plus lubricant this month and back on proceive vitamins. Giving it nearly everything this cycle!! Good luck to us all x
