Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

@Mumofboys17 it is good! Very user friendly and it does save squinting to decide how dark a line is haha xxx

What is smep? Can someone explain it to me, I googled and it says smerm meets egg but still not entirely sure, sorry for being dense

Lol @Mumofboys17 !! Well it's been a bit different for us TTC three years later, first time I got BFP after one cycle so really didn't even feel like TTC. Starting to get a bit nervous now on cycle 6 so trying out a few more things. Due AF 6 December, but after last months chemical I think I'll wait until AF is due to test, it's so disappointing getting hopes up!

@ChampooPapi, as I understand it's just a plan for frequency of how often you BD/do the deed, when you start depends on the length of your cycle and then it's every second day until your positive ovulation test when you then BD that day, the following two days, skip a day and then once more. Lots of videos on YouTube also to explain.

Others please chime in if I've got that wrong!

@ohreally2019 thanks for explaining. Am I still being thick though as that just sounds like trying to conceive generally

So do you just have sex every other day except when your on your period or when you think your ovulating , when you do it every day?

That pretty much the best way to get pregnant I can imagine!

Dp has gone to bed already, so I’m in bed Christmas shopping, just ordered the cutest canvas of my dog for my daughter, they had some professional photos done together a few weeks ago.

I’m actually looking forward to trying this clear blue thing out, as only used the cheapies ones last month as got in a right pickle with clear blue but have 10 so hopefully they’ll last me, if not I’ll order some more xx

I have reading everyone’s messages and I feel exactly the same......
I have 2 children 5 and 8
We also have 2 m/c one which was in jan/feb time this year.
I thought I couldn’t try again but now we have started to try.
I’m now using clear blue advanced ovulation tests and I’m now on my 3rd flashing smily face.
I’m excited to think that we might get a positive in December x
I would like to be apart of the group and talk about all this x x

Hi. Can i join? I'm ttc baby 2. Im 29. This will be cycle 4. Going to try and do smep again. My cycles are all over the place after stopping pill. Had 25 31 and 34 day cycles. I conceived son on cycle 5 so feeling positive at the moment.

I had a miscarriage at the start of October 6 weeks on our 1st- AF came on the 9th of November & we are desperate to get PG again, love reading everyone’s journeys! Let’s hope not trying too long

Okay I think I will ovulate around the 1st or 2nd Dec now. Yeah I'm really looking forward to using them it's quite exciting! Xx

Had an early miscarriage in june at 7 weeks, just using my apps this month. Fingers crossed for everyone xx

@Sunflower2019 glad it's not just me thinking about due months (dh looks at me like I'm crazy when I say about school years!!) but like you not going to stop trying and would be happy working th whatever now! Just putting it down to my over thinking!

Really looking forward to af ending so we can start the cycle again, bought some his & her conception vitamins, they weren't cheap so hoping they do something!!

Morning everyone!

I can join properly now. Yesterday I'd convinced myself I was pregnant and got a BFN and this morning my temps have dropped so it's just a case of waiting for AF to appear now.

If all goes to plan I'd be testing on the 23rd December!

Thanks for the welcome @fp30 apps are all over the place so will be testing depending on how I feel between the 5th and 10th December, patiently awaiting signs of ov, what methods are you using if any?

@ChristmasComing123 when you say try SMEP ‘again’ did you try previously and be successful or not? Just curious!

I’ve been watching videos about fertility Thai have depressed me soooo much, 33 in January and was watching videos about woman’s eggs declining from late 20s and how it’s only 15% each month from age 35 etc.. 😭 my dp isn’t taking it very seriously and also he has low morphology which I’m not sure makes a massive amount of difference, but I’m so worried atm!

Argh. The age thing is so depressing. My DP isn't taking it very seriously either @Sunflower2019 and only a few weeks ago (bear in mind we've been ttc for over a year now) he admitted he had mumps when he was 17! FFS he knew the damage it could do too. 🤯

@LatteLover12 oh no!!! I wish they would take it more seriously. My partner rides a motorbike and I'm so worried this is affecting your chances with the heat and vibrations. I think they don't understand what we go through since they do their bit but not have to symptom spot, chart and pee on sticks!

So CD7 for me and started my ovulation tests today and going to start SMEP today also. I know it's early for ovulation but I've never done them before so I want to make sure I'm reading the results right etc. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼. Anyone else gonna start OPK soon? Xx
