Hi,

I’m 29 and trying for my first baby. I had a missed miscarriage at the end of August and have decided to try again.

Will be testing around 31 October/1 November (if I can last that long!) so come join if you’re in the same boat.

@sweetkitty aww that's a wonderful story 💖 And I'm so sorry for your MC, but a lovely ending

2DPO... time... going... so.... slow 🙈

HugeAgeGap · 21/10/2019 13:39

KCT93 sounds like you got all bases covered this month! We only DTD day before ov so hoping that is enough. OH to stressed with work and doesn't like the pressure of performing on demand!!!!

Wrigleys123 · 21/10/2019 13:44

Just hopping on here! Due around Halloween too, the irony all the bloodshed and gore haha! Will probably test if AF doesn't show before then but I'm not hopeful at all as been trying for baby 2 for a year!

KCT93 · 21/10/2019 13:58

@HugeAgeGap hopefully we both caught it this month! DH did struggle on a couple of days, it became so forced and I think he was just so exhausted and also felt the pressure! I just hate how slow the TWW goes! Let's hope Halloween is a lucky day for us all, if we can wait that long! Grin

HugeAgeGap · 21/10/2019 14:18

It is tricky when it's not spontaneous isn't it!! Some love it more the better but the reality when you're checking temps and opks isn't quite as fun is it!! This is gonna be a long and symptom spotting wait girls!

sojo44 · 21/10/2019 19:12

I've been trying to let the hubby know about OPKs as he hassles me about not sharing that stuff with him, but trying to find a balance of not drowning him with it so it still feels a bit more spontaneous and not too forced.

Now it's just me symptom spotting even though at 2 DPO there are no symptoms to spot 😂🙈

250515xx · 21/10/2019 20:40

I’m 4-5 DPO hate the symptom spotting but you just can’t help it can you. I’m taking progesterone so absolutely no point as it’s probably all side effects from that but I keep obsessing over every little thing anyway!

Whyhaveidonethis · 21/10/2019 21:54

Can I join? Cycle 14 😡 3dpo today. Af due on 31st/1st. Will test before then as I'm impatient but not holding out much hope as I ovulate 4 days early and DP was away until day of ovulation so we only dtd on day of Ovulation and day after. I've had 3 chemicals in 6 months so feeling really low.

CL1982 · 21/10/2019 22:01

Yes charting is taking your BBT every morning to see if you can track ovulation. It’s a useful tool and pretty easy once you get used to it :D

HugeAgeGap · 21/10/2019 22:32

@250515xx I think I'm same as you, nothing to report yet. Reckon once we get to post 7 it'll ramp up in symptom spotting! I only remember from last preg (years ago!) that I was really thirsty and boobs really hurt, both those things made me question if I was preg.

HugeAgeGap · 21/10/2019 22:34

@Whyhaveidonethis sorry to hear what you've been going through.

I think we're almost same dates, although I think I ov slightly before as 4-5dpo.

Sounds like if you caught ov day you'll have hit the jackpot time wise this month, we only managed day b4 ov and then two days prior to that!

showmewhatyougot · 21/10/2019 22:37

I'm joining in too! AF due 01 nov, 1st try for 2nd baby :) good luck all x

HugeAgeGap · 21/10/2019 22:41

@showmewhatyougot welcome! How many dpo are you lovely?

Whyhaveidonethis · 21/10/2019 22:49

Thanks @HugeAgeGap strangely enough if I get a bfp there will be 20 years between my eldest and youngest so a huge age gap here!! 😂 It's been a tough few months. My age is against me as I am 41 but hey ho, we shall see. Keep me sane until next week!!!

showmewhatyougot · 22/10/2019 07:15

5-6 days dpo. Going to be a long month!

HugeAgeGap · 22/10/2019 07:41

Oh wow that's awesome! My huge age gap has been put to shame as ds is 10. I see so many tiny age gaps i feel odd having such a big one! Awesome to find someone who is in a similar boat. I'm 34, but had a lot of treatment over last couple of years for cervix cell problems, but now should be all clear. However have been told higher chance of mc with treatments I've had.

I am charting, and says 6dpo and had a big temp drop this morning, to early for implantation but it's my first month charting so don't have a pattern to follow yet.

Whyhaveidonethis · 22/10/2019 07:50

@HugeAgeGap my ds3 will be 10 next year so there will be 10 years between them too. I have had big gaps between all 3 of mine and its nice. You get to have time with them.

6dpo could be implantation possibly. I've had a bfp at 8dpo before so implantation would have been around 6dpo.fingers crossed for you. Sounds like you've had a shitty time of it.

HugeAgeGap · 22/10/2019 07:56

@Whyhaveidonethis yeah that's very true about the time thing, it would be nice to hope if number 2 comes they would get a lot of the time whilst number 2 is at school.

That's interesting about getting a + early, it's just a waiting game seeing what the temps do rest of the month, I combined with opk so think they've been fairly accurate with that so far. I'm still 9 days away from af as cycles are fairly long.

I'm wishing two weeks of my life away every month!! Shock

CL1982 · 22/10/2019 08:09

So is anyone going to sneak a naughty FRER in before Halloween or are we all going to be STRONG 💪🏼 (I probs will not be 😆😆😆😆🙈🤦‍♀️)

HugeAgeGap · 22/10/2019 08:18

I think it all depends on symptoms and the temp as to whether I will do early or at all!! I have a feeling if the temp works well I'll see a massive drop just before Halloween so I'll probably know by then and won't want to torture myself with a negative!!! But if not, I think I'll be symptom spotting and won't be able to resist!

HugeAgeGap · 22/10/2019 08:18

Just to add I thought last month was my month so I do already have a supply of FRER!!!!

KCT93 · 22/10/2019 08:22

@CL1982 I think I will only sneak a FRER in if I have any obvious symptoms like spotting or sore boobs, as I have never had these symptoms with AF. Not sure I can deal with another disheartening BFN!

sojo44 · 22/10/2019 08:30

Trying to stay strong till Halloween and then the sneaky FRER 👻 thankfully work will be quite busy over the next couple of weeks to keep me preoccupied.

How is everyone feeling today?

250515xx · 22/10/2019 09:05

@CL1982 I had a HCg injection so daren’t test early as I’ve read that it can stay in your system and give a false positive so I’ve got no choice other than to ride out the wait...it’s taking soooo long!

Whyhaveidonethis · 22/10/2019 09:23

@CL1982 I have 3 FRER ready. Will 100% cave!!
