TWW testing on Halloween?

Hi,

I’m 29 and trying for my first baby. I had a missed miscarriage at the end of August and have decided to try again.

Will be testing around 31 October/1 November (if I can last that long!) so come join if you’re in the same boat.

@HarrietM87 I thought that too! But blood tests confirmed its day 25-27. It was last month anyway. I've done OPK this month but the results were vague! Who knows ConfusedConfused thank you

I randomly tested again this morning! AF is due and I got this!

@showmewhatyougot aaaah congrats! 🥳 what wonderful news!!!

KCT93 · 30/10/2019 07:15

Congratulations @showmewhatyougot 💐

Tdmama · 30/10/2019 07:32

Congratulations @showmewhatyougot !!

I've tested this morning and got a BFN so I guess AF is on her way today/tomorrow. Trying to see the positive of that because at least my cycle is regular

sojo44 · 30/10/2019 08:13

I'm hoping to test tomorrow but a little nervous about it right now.

Wavering between waiting to see how this spotting progresses (no AF flow yet) vs. Just doing a FRER.

HarrietM87 · 30/10/2019 09:15

Congrats @showmewhatyougot!

@Tdmama not to worry you but I think the luteal phase needs to be about 9/10 days to allow implantation to happen. If yours is only 7 it could be a luteal phase defect - might be worth looking into/discussing with your GP.

@sojo44 have you got any cheapies? Using a FRER is basically pissing on a tenner so depends whether you feel like that’s money well spent 🤣

I’m 8dpo and woke up with some pretty sharp cramps, but they’ve worn off now. May well try a cheapie tomorrow at 9dpo we have loads of them, but will do a FRER on Friday.

showmewhatyougot · 30/10/2019 10:27

Thank you every one, I'm still not believing it yet, I feel so crampy like AF will start literally any minute, so will wait and do a few more tests, but fingers crossed :)

@showmewhatyougot great news 😊
I’m out, AF arrived a day early for me this morning. Saved money on buying a test from tomorrow at least.
Good luck to everyone still to test xx

showmewhatyougot · 30/10/2019 10:54

I'm Sorry to hear that @250515xx buy yourself a nice treat with the money saved WineCakeThanks

Whyhaveidonethis · 30/10/2019 10:57

Spotting started this morning. Looks like I'm out. Good luck all

sojo44 · 30/10/2019 19:36

@HarrietM87 yes!! Maybe I'll try a cheapie first! Can't be (literally) pissing my money away for nothing 😂. So absurd! Still spotting but no flow. Hopefully it'll make up its mind tomorrow and stop or start properly!

SonjaMorgan · 30/10/2019 20:17

@Whyhaveidonethis I am so sorry, the whole thing is such a rollercoaster.

Can anyone point me to a chart someone previously posted (not sure it was on this thread but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about) which gave percentages of positive result for different times of the day when testing?

Whyhaveidonethis · 30/10/2019 22:58

@showmewhatyougot congratulations. I posted this: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/pregnancy-tests-urine-sample.php

Whyhaveidonethis · 30/10/2019 22:59

Is that the one?

MindyStClaire · 30/10/2019 23:26

Just got a bfp... Eep.

250515xx · 30/10/2019 23:30

Congratulations @MindyStClaire great news 😊

SonjaMorgan · 30/10/2019 23:46

@Whyhaveidonethis yes. Thank you you so much.

HarrietM87 · 31/10/2019 08:53

Congratulations @MindyStClaire!!! What dpo are you? Will you get an early scan?

I’m 9dpo today and did a cheapie this morning. Feel like there may be something there but it’s almost invisible to the naked eye, can’t see it on a photo and could be imaginary 🤣. Will do a FRER tomorrow and if it’s negative have to stop the meds and keep testing til AF comes.

MindyStClaire · 31/10/2019 09:09

Thanks Harriet!

That sounds promising, and familiar. Wasn't sure if I was hallucinating a line the morning of 9dpo, clear positive on a frer the evening of 10dpo. Fingers crossed for you!

Will definitely be getting an early scan, probably two. Not sure if I'll get one on the NHS as different people told me different things, but happy to go private if not.

SonjaMorgan · 31/10/2019 09:42

Congratulations all. BFN here. Still no period. I have never skipped a cycle but they have been all over the place since stopping the implant 3 years ago. Not really sure where we go from here. Good luck to everyone testing later today!

Nrbr16 · 31/10/2019 10:17

Bfn for me too despite a slight tease of symptoms 🙄
PMS has me feeling slightly psychotic today so I'll be drowning my sorrows in a bottle or two of wine tonight 😂

Roll on next month !

HarrietM87 · 31/10/2019 10:53

@MindyStClaire I think it really varies where you are. My local EPAU accepts a self-referral for one scan where you’ve had a previous mc but elsewhere you need a referral for your GP (and they sometimes won’t give one unless you’ve had eg bleeding or pain). I’m seeing a doctor privately for my immune issues and he scans at 6, 8 and 12 weeks, but the clinic is miles away so might try to go to the hospital instead if I’m lucky enough to conceive.

Having quite strong cramps today so wondering if my period is on the way after all.

MindyStClaire · 31/10/2019 10:57

I always get cramps with pregnancy Harriet, so you might not be out at all :)

Hope you do manage to get seen at the hospital, it makes everything so much easier when the logistics aren't a complete pain.

Carol9ine · 31/10/2019 11:02
