Hi,

I’m 29 and trying for my first baby. I had a missed miscarriage at the end of August and have decided to try again.

Will be testing around 31 October/1 November (if I can last that long!) so come join if you’re in the same boat.

I"ve been burned by vvv faint lines before....... But time will tell. I can't wait for some positives from everyone :D

HugeAgeGap · 24/10/2019 15:18

@LazyDogFox I'm trying to conceive #2 and #1 is ten years old!

8dpo today, absolutely no symptoms whatsoever, feeling identical to every other month! I didn't plan #1 so wasn't aware of any symptoms until I did the test which was prob a week or two weeks after missed AF! However I suffered really bad sickness first 3 months and first symptoms which made me to a test were sore boobs and thirsty, none of which I am feeling now!!

I have some early tests and Sunday will be day 27 of 30 day day cycle. But I won't be tempted to do it unless I have some symptoms, otherwise just torturing myself!

I also only dtd the day before ovulation once, so not holiday out much hope. However in previous months we dtd on ovulation day and that didn't work either. That's why I'm hoping this month might work!!

HugeAgeGap · 24/10/2019 15:25

Right girls, just checked FRER website!! 76% accuracy 5 days before AF due date, jumping to 96%accuracy 4 days before, and 99% accuracy 3 days before. So my AF day 1 is next Thursday, meaning Saturday would be the 76% accuracy day, but waiting u too Sunday is much more accurate. That is tempting on Sunday isn't it!!!!

showmewhatyougot · 24/10/2019 15:50

@HugeAgeGap that 96% looks tempting too me!

LazyDogFox · 24/10/2019 16:09

@HugeAgeGap ok thanks I’m going to order some FRERs from amazon but won’t use one this month I don’t think unless I’m late. I’m so excited for you all!

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=10

Check this website out. Interesting stats

MindyStClaire · 24/10/2019 16:41

I order them in fours and usually go through a stash before my period is even due. Grin Not the most sensible approach!

LazyDogFox · 24/10/2019 17:03

@Skygirl1983 just had a look, very interesting to see what a difference a day makes! (You’re all welcome for getting that song stuck in your head now)

@MindyStClaire haha yeah I have no self control so I’m saying I’ll wait but I’m reality I’m already wondering if tomorrow is too early 😂

CL1982 · 24/10/2019 17:32

@MindyStClaire Me too 😆🙌🏼

I got x2 for £6.49 on Amazon -gone up to £7.30 now though... First Response - Early Result Pregnancy Test - One Pack of 2 Units www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001DULLKE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FhDSDbX00A9GA?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Also Superdrug are doing x2 for £8.49 so...

CL1982 · 24/10/2019 17:34

@Skygirl1983 The evidence is compelling-wait! Gah. I am always impatient as we need to start progesterone ASAP when I get a positive...

CL1982 · 24/10/2019 17:35

@Wrigleys123 I think Squinter is an understatement 😆 Barely-If-there more accurate...

HugeAgeGap · 24/10/2019 18:16

Yeah the evidence on that link does tie in with the %'s it says on their website so it's deffo best to get an accurate result to hold off as long as you can!!! Will power girls 💪

250515xx · 24/10/2019 18:55

@LazyDogFox trying for #1 here. Hoping you were just a bit early like the others said and you get better news in a few days!
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s BFPs on Sunday, I’ll be hanging on until Halloween though.
@CL1982 eek I really hope it is a definite line!!

HarrietM87 · 24/10/2019 19:06

Hello, joining late to the party! Feel like I recognise a few names from previous threads when I was having my son (he’s 18 months now). I had 3 mcs before having him, was treated with prednisolone and progesterone which enabled me to have him, got pregnant accidentally in August and as a result didn’t start the meds until my period was 3 days late (meant to start at ovulation). That ended in a mmc in sept at 9 weeks (baby stopped at 6) so here I am. Don’t know if the mmc was caused by not taking meds early enough or just bad luck.

So I’m 2dpo and due to test at 9 or 10dpo on 31 Oct/1 Nov. Have a short luteal phase and have always had a positive at 10dpo in previous pregnancies.

Good luck everyone!

MrsD0147 · 24/10/2019 19:13

I’m majorly late to joining as only just seen this thread but AF due 2nd nov so resting on the 3rd Smile

CL1982 · 24/10/2019 19:44

@HarrietM87 Ahh my daughter is 19 months! We may have been on similar birth or TTC groups...

MindyStClaire · 24/10/2019 19:56

Harriet and CL, I recognise both your names (usually useless so apologies if there's someone else I should know!). My DD is 18 months and we were on the same birth month thread (I was LivLemler then). I also had a MMC in September at 9 weeks so we're clearly on the same schedule! CL think we were on a TTC thread at the same time at least once before.

CL1982 · 24/10/2019 20:24

@mindystclaire that sucks about be Mc :( i’M sorry. But lovely to be back here with you. I made some epic friends on Mumsnet on my birth group. We all still chat every day on Facebook messenger ❤️

HarrietM87 · 24/10/2019 20:45

@MindyStClaire I remember you! You’re from NI too? @CL1982 pretty sure we were on a thread together before - possibly a mc one?

Anyway, fingers crossed for all of us. I think 2-3 years is a lovely age gap.

sojo44 · 24/10/2019 20:49

@HugeAgeGap so true! Just can't win 😂 all the information just becomes too much information 🙈 I won't write myself off yet for this cycle then and just see what happens come Halloween 🧐 oh gosh!! What are you using for temping? I'm 5DPO now and it's the "I feel so tired, but surely it can't be from going to bed late and my lower back aches but surely it can't be from my bad posture sitting at work" phase. So like you, no symptoms. Sunday is calling your name isn't it?

@OrangeHue I love this time of year too, so it couldn't be better timing for a positive 👻

What is everyone using for testing when it's D day? Good old FRER?

MindyStClaire · 24/10/2019 21:19

Good memory Harriet! Yes I am from NI.

sojo I have a few cheapies so might use them and then the frer if they show a squinter. But I'll probably burn through the frer too!

CL1982 · 24/10/2019 21:23

Aww awesome to see everyone back here again :D

siaa · 24/10/2019 21:25

@MindyStClaire & @CL1982 thank you for the advice Smile I did a FRER this morning and got a faint pink line but not getting excited just yet as I'm only 8dpo and so much can happen x

MindyStClaire · 24/10/2019 21:29

Can I be a little excited for you siaa?!

MindyStClaire · 24/10/2019 21:31

(My faint pink line on the first day I could take a FRER is snoozing upstairs as I type. I remember someone saying similar to me once and I hope you can pass it on someday too. Flowers )
