TWW testing on Halloween?

Hi,

I’m 29 and trying for my first baby. I had a missed miscarriage at the end of August and have decided to try again.

Will be testing around 31 October/1 November (if I can last that long!) so come join if you’re in the same boat.

May I ask something, Im just back from the doctors (she made me do another urine test to conform) and that was it, no blood test etc. She's just referring me to the midwives? Is that normal?

Yes showmewhatyougot, in most cases they don't even do a urine test because the home tests are just as sensitive.

Here in NI the first midwife appointment is at the same time as the 12 week scan (so, 10-14 weeks or so), but I think in the rest of the UK the first midwife appointment is at around 8 weeks.

Well ladies, after thinking AF had arrived early yesterday I have had two days with the tiniest amount of brown spotting. Didn't even beed to wear a panty liner. Not tested since Tuesday but don't actually want to waste a test as I don't feel pregnant and I'm sure AF will turn up tomorrow at some point. But u thought I'd check back in just in case.

So I did a cheapie this morning and got a BFN. Didn’t have any frers in so picked a couple up on the way to work and have just done one. It’s basically a BFN too but I’m driving myself mad and thinking there’s a tiny shadow of a line. Will have to see what tomorrow brings I guess. I’m very likely hallucinating!

Fingers crossed Harriet. I was convinced I was hallucinating (and maybe I was) but 36 hours later the line was clear as day.

Tested yesterday and bfn - guess I was imagining things before! It was the first cycle after my mc and I really wanted it to happen even though hadn’t been tracking anything, so guess was wishful thinking. Period was due today and not here yet (never normally late) so possibly a bit of a weird cycle. Onwards and upwards!

Hey everyone! I'm 9/10 DPO - bfn on a FRER this morning, AF due on Saturday according to the Flo app but I reckon around mid week so not sure, is anyone else testing tomorrow? X

AF arrived late yesterday. So fed up.

Ah sorry to hear that Harriet. This was my first cycle after a MMC too (I'm wondering if we were on the same FB group?) and my cycle was longer than normal, which I only realised because of OPKs. I guess it takes a while for things to settle down. As ever you're not out til AF arrives, but the very best of luck either way.

Sorry I've been so absent. My dad went into surgery last week which went horribly wrong (they fixed his problem and then cut something else open accidentally at the same time, butterfingers!!) and resulted in emergency surgery a few days later, and an induced coma/being anaesthetised for 48hours. But he's awake now and stable.🥰

My spotting turned into a very light AF! But I'll take it as a win! Cycle days have gone from 126 days (induced period) to 43! Hopefully the next one is a BFP or around 30days! Will see you in the Nov threads 💖

I've had a funny AF this month but finally got a gyane referral from GP re my blood results.

Think I may refrain from any other TWW posts in future as I am starting to feel they curse me!
