New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

hello again Graysongirl!

I'm still here, and rapidly becoming an oldie . I'm 32, dh is 33, cd 10 0f cycle 9, 1 mc/partial molar pregnancy.

Good luck to you all, I think this will be the last I get to post until I get home from holiday, we leave in the early hours and now I need to go and pack!!!

I will raise my glass to you all while away, and hope to find lots of bfp's on my return (hopefully including my own....)

xxx

Millie26 · 07/08/2007 14:50

Hello! Mine are below. Am v new to all this, except have been skulking on here for months . Am v excited to actually be properly trying for a baby.

Realise you are supposed to say what CD you are but I've got no idea. Will start all that tracking after next period comes - could be anytime it fancies!

Good luck with your appointment!! Let us know what happens with the results.

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 14:52

millie & graysongirl I've had everything on the NHS so far - inital tests done through GP (blood tests for me and semen analysis for DH) then got referred by GP to gynae at local hopsital who saw us in about 2 weeks . He did an internal ultrasound and had a look at my ovaries and womb then talked to us about the results of the tests done at GPs and prescribed me Clomid (I had the all clear from the scan but blood tests showed I did not ov that month). He wasn't too bothered about DH's results (he has a low % of properly formed sperm) as he is producing enough quantity (3% of loads is better that 3% of hardly any)
Think that's all, do ask if I can help with anything.

Stats: me-29, DH-28, ttc since Jan 06. cd21, cycle 20, 1st with Clomid

kensgirl have a lovely holiday, try to resit the urge to push your DH's friend's gf in the pool! Hope it's not too stressful and that you get some time alone with DH

Thanks nomoremagnolia, good to know! it sounds like everything has been good from the medical side so far, with quick appointments etc.

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 15:07

We were lucky with the appointment, they had a cancellation and we could make it (They rang on the Thurs pm with a Mon am appt) I'm pretty sure 2 weeks is not the norm!

I really should be doing some work. Have spent all morning gazing out of the office window fantasising about bumps and baby names.

It's only been a day so far - can imagine you think about it more as time goes on too!!?

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 15:55

Some days it's all you can think about and other days you don't think about it at all. Then a colleague announces she's going to be a granny as her 17 year old is accidently pg and it feels like a punch in the stomach. But you've found MN now, so you come on here and moan about it to people who understand

This thread has suddenly warmed up - about time too, its been in the doldrums for ages.

Me 38, ttc#2 (sorry, Millie, long story, followed Kensgirl, not really a stalker!), ds2.5. Ttc 18months, mc Oct 06. Mp 2003.

Dh not cooperating following scare after mc...

Nomore - with you there, very frustrating. And why is it, when you're ttc, every 2nd woman you pass seems to be pregnant - or at least looks as though they might be? Sorry, can't remember what happened on 1st appointment - so long ago (about 2001 I think!)

Millie26 · 07/08/2007 16:11

Yippee!

Ye, am constantly and over my colleagues friend who is 20 and has had two kids accidently even though she says she was on the pill and the guys wore condoms. How?! Tell me, how!? I want what she's taking

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 16:15

When you find out what she's taking can you get a job lot for all of us?

mistlethrush · 07/08/2007 16:17

Kensgirl - someone wanting support re mp on another conception thread - search my posts today if necessary if you feel able to offer support?

Not sure how to do link, but this is what it's called:

Mumsnet Discussions: Conception : Getting back to TTC after molar pregnancy and chemo...

Hope holiday is fab, and happy bonging - please feel free to cold shoulder friend's gf from me as well. Probably pushing her in the pool is a bit much given her condition, but otherwise would do!

Millie26 · 07/08/2007 16:22

Defo! Im onto it...

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 16:24

kensgirl Does she know you're ttc? If not how about chatting very enthusiatically about all the horrid bits of being pg? Piles, sickness, stretch marks etc. Of course I'd gladly put up with all that for a baby (as I know we all would) but if she doesn't know you're ttc it could be a way to handle it

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 16:54

millie now you're my sort of girl. Have you started fantasy shopping for baby things yet? I've already picked out all the things I like but the rest of this lot don't like joining in with my fantasy shopping. (only teasing, toomuch did for a bit but she's disappeared recently!)

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 16:57

ooh ooh i want to fantasy shop

i want a stokke sleepi

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 16:58

stokke sleepi

Millie26 · 07/08/2007 17:01

Oh, totally, I'm so glad you do that too!

There is a tshirt in baby Zara that is green with stripes and has a pink line drawing of a dinosaur on it, its SO cute. Also, Topshop have got some minature dungarees that are uber cool but very tiny, in a way that only Topshop can pull off.

How about you?? Where do you go?

Millie26 · 07/08/2007 17:01

ooo..that's lovely scorpio!

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 17:03

i know! they normally come with plain white drapes, etc. £600 though.....but lasts until baby 5...i have a sales pitch to dp already!

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 17:04

nomoremagnolia · 07/08/2007 17:21

I'm caught between the stokke and the amby nature's nest. Stokke is lovely but £££ I love it when it's tiny though. Have you seen their changing table? I want that too
