New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

Am really determined to try bf, even if it's at the expense of all my other 'good intentions' but by trying it I know I have done my best if it doesn't work for any reason.

What a lovely day!! I am still tender from the HSG but I suppose that is normal or perhaps it is all in my mind

I am definitely going to try to breastfeed, but there is no way I am going to beat myself up if it doesn't work out. Too many women are made to feel failures if they give up, and I think that is wrong. I reckon, so long as you give it your best shot, then that's good enough.

With regards to the birth, I haven't given it a great deal of thought, but I have said on many occasions that I really do not want an epidural. The thought of one petrifies me. I may well regret that decision, but it's the only thing I feel strongly about at this stage.

Nomoremagnolia - I love the virtual shopping!! I always have, how could you forget my endless bugaboo links

Has everyone seen the new bugaboo? It's called the Bee... not out here yet, just the US! OMG!

How about this Moses Basket?

What other questions did I miss????

Ready · 11/08/2007 12:41

How cute is this ???

Ready · 11/08/2007 12:43

I'm on a roll here

scorpio1 · 11/08/2007 12:53

Hi Ready and thanks

I'm on the waiting list for the Bee its ideal for me-the bugaboos are too big, i use buses alot.

Hope you are well, you seem much more upbeat?

Ready · 11/08/2007 16:11

Scorpio - Yeah, I feel much better after my little break from thinking about ttc 24-7. And I am in the system with regards to investigations, which does help I think.
You're on the list for a Bee - ooooh what colour? Congrats again

scorpio1 · 11/08/2007 16:14

the break does you wonders, doesnt it?? i had a mini break the last month i was ttc, and we all went to butlins...then i got my bfp. i swear its because not once that month did i cm check, check dates, etc. and i had wine on holiday , feel bad for that, but i didn't know.

Am down for Sand/Grey at the moment, but if 20 week scan shows pink (i doubt it) will change the colour, i think.

being 'in the system' must help to make you more positive-it will happen chick

Ready · 11/08/2007 16:17

I'm quite tender after my HSG yesterday, and due to ovulate tomorrow or Monday, worried about ttc straight after, but also worried about missing a month, IYKWIM? Sigh.
I love the sand colour - I think that's what I would choose. I love, love, love them.

scorpio1 · 11/08/2007 16:19

Bee much smaller and compact, you can also buy a pram insert so they can face you completeley lying down and snug with their fatty cheeks..... also want matching bag (am terrible with shopping btw). i also want a stokke sleepi.

BabyBratt · 12/08/2007 15:52

Hi, I have been taking a little break as I was becoming obsessed with the whole ttc thing. I think sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to start pulling yourself up.

I am taking on one thing at once I have stopped peeing on sticks and I am not taking my temp anymore. I am concentrating on making it up to DH because I have been so obsessed lately.

But I popped on today I was not going to write anything but Scorpio I saw you news and I am SO SO SO PLEASED it is brilliant news.

Ready I love all your links.

Everyone else it is lovely to catch up and you kind of realise that you actually miss people on here.

nomoremagnolia · 12/08/2007 20:11

Hi BB glad your little break did you good, sounds like you needed it (hope that doesn't sound rude ) I felt that way a while ago and 'left' MN for about a month, it did me the world of good and though I still thought about ttc a lot I also chilled out about it. I know what you mean about missing people on here too, I found myself thinking 'oh I wonder how X is doing?' Glad you're back now though

Morning folks - had some impromptu guests over the weekend so couldn't get online..

Look like it's been busy!

Hi ready good to have you back - glad you're feeling more up beat and hope you're feeling less tender today!

scorpio How are you feeling? Still got the sickness? Loving the Bee by the way..

MT Reckon I'm going to try breast feeding and hope I'm a natural but fully ready for it not to work.. so not going to beat myself up over it!

BB welcome back [big wave]

.. off to look at all the links now..

toomuchtimeonline · 13/08/2007 10:09

nomore I'd love a home birth as I hate hospitals and I'm a firm believer that you're not sick you're having a baby however, DH has insisted on a hospital for number 1 - I'm going to look into these midwife led units as it would be nice to be in a slightly less hospital type environment.

BellaBear · 13/08/2007 10:11

SCORPIO! Congratulations!!!

Hello all else who remember me as well! (nomore, ready, anyone else?)

scorpio1 · 13/08/2007 10:12

Hi

Yeah, still a bit sicky and very tired, but its all good.

My DP the last 2 times has insisted o na hospital just incase-i went, because its his baby too iyswim? last time the baby needed smacking a bit to make him breathe, and all the alarms were going off. longest seconds of my life!

This time though i dont think iwill have time to get to hospital-its 40 mins away, and last time labour was less than 4 hours. i was in hospital for 14 mins and baby was out! Home for me this time!

scorpio1 · 13/08/2007 10:13

Bella- yay !!! i thought i hadn't seen you around much lately. you well?

BellaBear · 13/08/2007 10:17

Apart from general unnecessary stressing on my part, yes, very well!

scorpio1 · 13/08/2007 10:18

Goody and don't stress! anything i can reassure you on?

nomoremagnolia · 13/08/2007 10:23

Hi bella how are you doing?
I'm feeling really down today trying to drag myself back up though. Am swinging from high to low in seconds at the mo.

Whats wrong?

mistlethrush · 13/08/2007 12:09

Hi Nomore, sorry you're feeling blue. It gets you like that doesn't it. I'm relatively up at the moment as have just spent the w/e with friends who have a dc just under 2 y older than ds - ds was holding his own amazingly well in terms of activities, playing, eating etc. Although i did have to warn him to be gentle with dc as he is almost the same weight although slightly shorter.

Nomore, stick with it. One of these days it will be your turn. (and then everyone left on this thread will be as well as at/for you!)

nomoremagnolia · 13/08/2007 12:10

Just feel crap - another pg announced today and a email with pic of colleague's newborn too. Know I'm over-sensitive ATM but feel like someone's punched me in the stomach Also expecting AF sometime soon (given up the PMA of it being BFP) so it's probably PMT along with irrational

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 13/08/2007 12:11

ooh - look at all those acronyms

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 13/08/2007 12:28

NMM- it will happen. those announcements feel like a kick in the teeth, dont they . try to keep happy-better ttc that way! stick with it.
