New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

Hi all, just a quick update from me.. I went to the doctor today because am some so frustrated with spotting period and she said that stress affects your hormones and stops enough estrogen being produced to make me ovulate and could be the reason why I've got a weird AF etc.

She also advised me not to go on Mumsnet as the best thing for me to do is to try not to think about conceiving and just keep a diary of my cycles and then come back in three months. I'm going to take her advice and not post but still want to come on and see how everyone else is doing She wasnt saying MN was bad or anything, she just thought I shouldnt use it as I need to change things in my life at the moment and not focus on baby stuff or health issues(used to suffer from panic attacks and I've started feeling really bad with them again recently and they are always triggered by 'symptoms' thinking I am dying of something)

She also found a freckle in the back of one of my eyes that she said I need to get checked out so I am paranoid that there is something dreadfully wrong. I've been getting blurry vision for a while now so she also said not to go on the computer so much.

Anyway, I brought some baby dust with me to throw liberally all over this thread...here you go.....

Hi everyone, how are we all? Sorry I've not been on here, we've been fielding a bit of a family crisis over the last 36 hrs.

millie do what you need to look after yourself - if it means giving up MN then do it. I don't want to think you're making yourself ill worrying about everything Hope you come back and tell us when you get your BFP though
hi toomuch how are you? I'm at cd15 so in the middle of bonging at the mo (not literally )
scorpio hi how's things?
MT your DS sounds adorable Even all the 'bad' things sound ok...
PM Saw you mention the JR on another thread - are you near/in Oxford?

I can't concentrate properly at the mo, sorry if I've missed anything big.

toomuchtimeonline · 29/08/2007 18:48

Oh no Nomore hope everything is ok...

Scorpio

Millie hope some time off does you good and good luck with your eye!

MT Your DS does sound adorable - reminds us all why we are so obsessed with this TTC malarkey!

nomoremagnolia · 29/08/2007 20:51

I'm ok - there's not much we can do at the moment, I'm just worried and distracted. Will be able to do more at the weekend, so will feel better then.

mistlethrush · 30/08/2007 09:11

Nomore - hope crisis resolved and everything OK soon.

Millie - comiserations, I know what its like. Have some time off not worrying, and lets hope that you can come back with some good news

Hi Toomuch. Yes, ds adorable most of the time and completely maddening the rest (switches from one to the other in an instance). Took him to consultant for his ears yesterday (things improving a bit, thank goodness) - Consultant tried to do a 'whisper game' with him by hiding his mouth and saying a number (which ds was meant to repeat) - ds could quite obviously hear him say the number but decided that it would be much funnier to say a different one most of the time. Consultant clearly not too worried about him, partly based upon the amount that he was saying and the fact that I only had to translate a few things. On and off I have to translate for dh because ds is talking about things that are so remote from what is currently happening - you have to think about things that happened up to 4 or 5 months ago sometimes to work out what he is chatting away about. All this to look forward to girls !

toomuchtimeonline · 30/08/2007 09:39

Sorry you're having a bad time nomore - hope things improve soon

MT it must be so much fun once they are old enough to have real personality and be funny! Glad his ears are better

mistlethrush · 30/08/2007 10:22

Ears - getting there. Only 10% hole in one eardrum (improved from 15 - 20%) and only slight glue-ear other side. Doing everything we can to avoid need for surgery.

Old enough to have personality - did this day one. Good 20min feed within 1hr of birth. Able to move head off my shoulder (and back with resounding clonk). On ward, 6 babies - 5 'little baby' cries, one '3 month' cry (guess which one he was!). Even the nurses handed him back to me after 2hrs at 4am on the 3rd night because they couldn't cope with the racket he was makingGin. And here am I wishing that it would all happen again.... !!!!

Millie26 · 30/08/2007 11:28

[pokes head round corner]

Just to say - eye is fine. Got disgusting picture of eye with freckles all over it, but that's nothing to worry about. Apparently...

Hope everyone is ok. Oooooh...I want to go on MN all day and not do any work. Rubbish.

toomuchtimeonline · 30/08/2007 11:50

Good news Millie - hooray!

MT - he sounds like a bobby dazzler!

Ready · 30/08/2007 19:58

Great news Millie - pleased that your freckle is nothing to worry about. One less thing huh Hope you are doing ok? Totally understand your need to step away from MN for a bit. Good luck

Nomore - Sweets Sorry to hear that you are having some problems, you know where I am if you need a shoulder. Thinking of you. ((hugs))

Kensgirl - Lovely to have you back from your hol. Pleased to hear that you had a lovely and relaxing time, and that you raised a glass to us all! How are you?

Gilly - Not nosy at all, don't worry about that. We are not sure where we will be moving to at this point. DH still not sorted out with a new club, so until then it is another uncertainty to deal with. We may go back home and stay with family for a week or two if necessary, or we will be in a hotel in whichever part of the country we are meant to be
I am with you - I see children throwing fits in Tesco and think, cor blimey!! Would I cope with that? The other thing I worry about, and I don't know if I am the only one - does the relationship really change that much? I don't want my relationship to change.

Toomuch - I am into my 13th cycle now... not sure when I ovulated last month what with the HSG and not temping properly. But it's all a moot point. This cycle is the one! Haha. Stupidly optimistic? Me? How are you?

Mistlethrush - Your ds sounds a total cutie. I hope you get to the bottom of his ears (if you see what I mean)

Sorry if I have missed anyone... I gotta dash

Ready - I have everything crossed that this cycle is the one for you! Positive thinking has to help! What sport does your DH play? I didn't realise he was a professional sportsman.. I'm fine thanks - I'm stupidly still getting mildly excited that I may get a BFP - I'm CD22 - even thought I know we didn't bong at the right time this month.. I'm just glutten for punishment I suppose..

Gilly - were they are in a case or could you rub them for luck?

Nomore - hope you're doing ok hin!

kensgirl · 31/08/2007 13:02

Good morning all!

A lovely thought, Gilly, about thinking the best of your fears, it has really stuck in my mind! You do keep finding yourself surounded by fertility symbols, I hope that it is a good sign for you, and for the rest of us by association!

How are you nomore? It seems as though you have a lot on your mind at the moment. Thinking of you, and you know where I am if you need a shoulder - I seem to borrow yours quite reguarly! xx

Hi Mistlethrush! your dh sounds adorable, even if he keeps you on your toes! How are things with you - is dh being cooperative? I hope so..

Hello Toomuch! How are you, hope you are OK!

Hi Millie - try not to worry, glad freckle was innocent

Hiya, Ready! I'm feeling really good at the moment, thanks! For some reason, I feel vey positive about the next month or two, things are lovey between dh and myself, and I feel really refreshed, as though I have been able to lay a few demons to rest. Hopefully it will be a winning combination!
How are you? I have a good feeling about you this coming cycle!!

Dh is in Budapest at the moment, and I have had a few ov symptoms, but never get ewcm , so I'm hoping there will be enough litle swimmers waiting to ambush! Sorry if tmi, I just hate the thought of wasting a month!

Hello to anyone I missed!

nomoremagnolia · 31/08/2007 15:21

I'm much better thanks, things are on the up Thanks for all the support/hugs, much needed and appreciated
How's everyone then? Will go back over the last few posts to see what's been going on.

Its been really quiet on here recently! And partly that is my fault as I haven't posted for a few days, just been lurking.

Hope everyone is ok, glad the hear you are feeling a little better nomore, that extensive and fabulous shopping list will come in useful soon I'm sure.

kensgirl · 01/09/2007 12:29

Just saying Hi to eveyone!

You are right Sybil, it is very quiet here the last few days. I wonder whether it is my return from holiday that has sent everyone running for the hills...?

Glad you are managing to not let everything get on top of you, Nomore!

Everyone else - Ready, Gilly, Millie, Toomuch, Mistlethrush - enjoy your weekends !

Anyway, I hope that everyone is doing well Just wanted to let you all know, so you didn't think I had flounced off, or something
