After all that desert sand, we are in serious need of slightly damper place...

This one is a hamam, complete with essential oils and thick Turkish towelling bath sheets. Mosaics on the floors, marble pools. You get the picture. It still needs some decorating though.

We have had a few graduates (OK, quite a few), which is good, but time to dust off the old Hut for those of us who are still barren.

lissie, there is a reason. i think they are just trying to help you-do you mean that you think they are keeping any ovulation issues a secret from you?Clomid will help you get pg, and thats what we want isnt it i think there is a thread on here about ttc and clomid...

lissie · 12/06/2007 11:26

i had my day 2 bloods the day after our appt with the specialist. in the appt itself he didnt mention clomid at all. im prob being paranoid but i dont trust docs at all any more tbh.

lissie · 12/06/2007 11:28

plus he hasnt seen me to tell me if there are any probs iykwim

scorpio1 · 12/06/2007 11:28

i'm sure i would feel that way too, lissie. do you not want to take clomid?or maybe you could book another appt to talk it through if you are uneasy? sorry i don't really know much about fertility helpers iykwim?

lissie · 12/06/2007 11:30

its not that, and tbh i was thinking about asking if clomid might help at the next appt, its just im concerned that he may have recieved my day2 results and i wont know til the 16th. (am v impatient)

speaking of which, impatience is dp still trying?

scorpio1 · 12/06/2007 11:33

Oh, i see now! i'm so impatient too and i want to know things yesterday! well i wish you luk, and hopefully we can all be bump buddies and never have to see the hut again! [lovely how it is though]

lissie · 12/06/2007 11:34

wouldnt that be fab.

duchesse · 12/06/2007 11:35

duchesse · 12/06/2007 11:39

OP posts:
lissie · 12/06/2007 11:40

scorpio1 · 12/06/2007 11:40

when is your period ue, are you going to test?

Good luck

duchesse · 12/06/2007 11:51

Yesterday, and I don't think I'll bother. I just know I'm not.

OP posts:
lissie · 12/06/2007 11:52

oh duchesse, leave it a few days. you might get lucky!

duchesse · 12/06/2007 11:54

Oi, Lissie, no hopefulness in here, please. Naughty naughty... Lucky and I are not exactly in a mutually exclusive relationship at present.

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 12/06/2007 11:54

i would wait a couple of days too and then try testing if your temps are still high? wishing you luck

lissie · 12/06/2007 12:05

sorry

want something good for you sweetheart

Impatience · 12/06/2007 12:57

Bloody temps, Duchesse.

Lissie: yes, dp is in her 2ww. They are now a permanent feature in this house... (esp with mine that turn into 3wws...)

Scorpio: Chem and Bio A levels! Final exams next week and the week after. Am (nerdily enough) rrather enjoying them, but I am a complete geek

Just to top it all off, have just had an email from a friend who told me all about how stressed she was that she wouldn't be able to conceive because she was sure she wasn't ovulating. I gave her all my knowledge and goodwill. You guessed it: 11wks pregnant now. So I feel a right muppet about my recent email sending her big strong wishes for conception.

It's not fair.

Shall I just take myself out round the chemical sheds and put myself down?

scorpio1 · 12/06/2007 13:42

impatience - what a kick in the teeth be strong

duchesse · 12/06/2007 13:56

I know, Lissie. Thank you. I'm sure just bitter and twisted.

OP posts:
lissie · 12/06/2007 13:58

its been a rough few years for you, dont be so hard on yourself.

impatience: why the f*ck does this have to keep happening?! theres no justice is there!

Impatience · 12/06/2007 14:42

... and to top it off dp has just invited another pregnant friend round for tea ...

at least my revision is going so badly that I can hide away in the study and PERHAPS not be considered rude for not coming down

can today get any worse?

shouldn't ask.

feedmenow · 12/06/2007 14:44

Choclatedays, that link you posted to that other thread.....bloody hilarious!!!!!!! I very rarely actually laugh out loud, but this jusr did it for me!

Soreheart · 12/06/2007 14:59

Afternoon, All. I'm sorry people are having such a crap time.
Wishing1 - are you still reading? Sorry to read your post.
Duchesse, you just never blumin' well know with the human body, you never know.
I am crossing fingers and having a small discussion with the universe.
I purchased a tonne (metric, of course) of Lh detection weestix and seem to have demonstrated that ovulation takes place at around CD17/18. Amazing. I thought I was on about CD 13/14/15. Not that this will make a jot of difference. DP is away anyway. Plus his swimmers are not good. Argh.
I have an appt. with fertility expert on Thursday and I'm thinking I should cancel it as I have bugger all to say (apart from, get me pregnant and make it stick, cheers and thanks). Does anyone have any good questions that I an ask?

lissie · 13/06/2007 07:45

soreheart, i have a doc with all the q's that i asked the doc on my laptop, i shall retrieve it for you
