August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

I’m currently 4 DPO and have had cramps and back pain since ovulation now, very annoying and not usually like this?! I’ve only been off the Mirena coil so suppose it could be my body adjusting but hope it will start calming down

Welcome @shelly10 I had my implant put back in 2011 so don't remember that well but I think it was around 6 weeks before I had AF. It seems to vary a lot though! Hope you have a fab honeymoon.

@organised5 Thanks! We're off to Mykonos- I can't wait. Loved your post about symptom spotting, I've been doing this a lot- I'm sure I've made half of it up in my head just knowing that I'm not on any contraception now 😂

@MidgetRed thanks for the info about you coming off the implant. I've done some reading in other threads and it really does sound like it's different for everyone. I'm just keeping a note of things at the moment then, but great to hear yours settled down after a while.

@Rapunzel91 I think adjusting back to not being on contraception is a bit strange - either we're feeling things we're not used to or our bodies just don't know what's happening!

I don't know about the implant but it took a while for my first period to come after coming off the pill.

Does anyone have short periods?
This one has only really lasted 2 days and now on day 3 I have just got spotting. Does anyone know what would cause this? My periods haven't been long since coming off the pill last year but this one is super short, doesn't seem overly healthy...😕

@FlapJackered mine last 3 days normally, 4 max and very rarely heavy, has been the same the last few months, came off implant over a year ago. Not sure what would cause short periods?

Ugh I caved and did a test stupidly early - BFN obviously!
Then I got really cross with myself and did a load of angry garden work and then felt really light headed so having a lie down Grin
This TTC lark is stressful! Might test again later in the week

Still only tiny smudges of brown blood/CM today, given up trying to wonder what my body is bloody doing!

Anyone else think the heat is making this all worse since it makes you feel sick and tired?

@flapjackered my last three have been short/light too. I usually have the total opposite and v painful (had scans etc and nothing found). I normally wouldn't complain about a light ones but as they are so different am off to the gp next week. Hope yours settle down!

My periods are light and short @FlapJackered. Before I was on the pill they were heavy, clotty and lasted week. Now they only last a couple of days. Period before last it was a day and a half! I'm having acupuncture and I have noticed my flow is better and definitely fresh blood (used to just be brown sludge - sorry!)

Think I ovulated over the weekend, had loads of ewcm - not had that much before, was quite excited :)

Good luck at the GP Muddy, I have got a blood test tomorrow to test hormones in general so hopefully that will bring anything up if there is a problem.

DD is 18 months old this month.
Suffered 2 ectopic pregnancies before DD.

Hi everyone, I've just hopped off the July Bus and on to August in the hope this one gets me to the right destination!!!

Age: 37
TTC # 2
DS: 2 years old
CD: 1 - AF arrived today although still quite light.

Cycle length - 27-29 days
Cycle 3 since MMC and D&C (but 2nd cycle being more focused on trying)

I'm going to use OPKs this month which I haven't done so before so plan to start testing at CD 8.

I also have very short and light periods since coming off the pill. Is it something I should worry about or get checked? Only recently able to start trying so new to all this.

Hope everyone's drs appointments and blood tests come back ok. Sorry there was a couple of you so havnt tagged and just came off nights so tired and lazy.
Hope we get some BFPs this month I'm excited the boards getting busier.
Got a flashing smiley face on my clear blue ovulation test this morning and it's lined up with EWCM. I'm so excited and there's no where else I can celebrate such gross things 😂

Enjoy DTD impatient 😉 according to my app I am due to ovulate at the end of the week, so will be too 😂 AF was late last month so will go an extra few days just in case 😂

@FlapJackered I also have short periods since having coil removed - last couple have been 2 days and a day of spotting. I saw a gynae in May and she wasn't worried about it!

Currently 4dpo and its already dragging... keep getting stabby pains in ovary area, hoping that isn't ominous!

I'm trying bbt for the first time this month and whilst I think it is useful, it adds another layer of anxiety every day hoping the temperature hasn't gone down!
