August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

@Wishful30 all your symptoms sound positive...🤞🤞🤞🤞 the lack of spotting especially! I used to spot about a week before af but with all the chemicals I didn’t at all, and even in a non pregnant cycle it seems to be a bit better.

It absolutely is a huge mind fuck - keep telling myself it will all be worth it eventually (whenever that may be!)

No news from me fully expecting af at the weekend not had spotting yet but I think tomorrow will start spotting

@RMarieClaire I think i would fine doing bbt quite tricky because DS wakes at all different times and I have to get up quickly sometimes to deal with him if DH isn't around. So thinking OPKs would be easier

@dragonmummy17 I had the same problem with getting up at different times so I've taught him to stay still for 30secs whilst my Bluetooth thermometer does it's thing. He's still only four so still sleeps In bed with me.

@namechanged1999 I could give it try... DS is 15 months and in his own room so I might do a couple of practise runs and see what happens if he has to wait a little... then if it works I can get the thermometer

@dragonmummy17 wow! How do you get him to sleep in his own room? My son is four and cannot sleep without me being next to him. He's still fed in the night though so maybe weaning will help.

@namechanged1999 he self night-weaned at 8 months for milk. He still wakes overnight for water a few times a night. I just stagger half asleep across the hallway!

Hi guys. I float on and off these boards but I have taken a test this morning (AF due today and no symptoms - not crazy, no cramping and my BBS are usually killing me!)

Is this an Evap line? I've read about them a lot and surely it would be darker today if AF due and I was actually PG?

Really appreciate your thoughts! Also feel free to tell me im crazy and imagining a slight second line 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am with you this morning!!
Af due today according to my app. Cd27. Often cd28 so maybe tomorrow.
No actual symptoms. No spotting which I usually have a day or 2 before af.

My test looks exactly the same!
I'm ignoring it because it just drives me nuts.
I had a very very faint line at 8dpo which was oddly an afternoon test. So for me I would assume it should be darker by now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Wishful30 I have a wedding today so was hoping I'd have had a definite test either way or AF would arrive (obviously not ideal but would at least clarify things!)

When are you going to test again? I took it in to my hubby and he just went "there's only one line I don't see anything" 🙈🙈 helpful lol!

I keep my DH out the loop a bit or I get a daily 'are we pregnant yet' and I don't think he realises what a strain it is mentally and emotionally to be the female in this.
I've told him we can't test till Tuesday and af isn't due till Sunday/Monday 😂

Really, when I get my bfp I want to be able to surprise him 🙂

I had a bfn on an IC this morning, at 10dpo. But, I had some light, dull cramps all yesterday evening so I'm crossing all my fingers that that was implantation at 9dpo. If it was, I'm unlikely to get any hint of a line for the next 3 or 4 days. My original plan was to use a FRER on Sunday, but I may push that back to Monday (& use ICs in the meantime!)

@HelloBrass no i think you're right! The mind loves to play tricks on us I think!

@Wishful30 my DH doesn't ever ask too many Qs which is nearly worse, makes me think he doesn't care but I know he does deep down

Me too. He tries but bless him the actual specifics of conception are completely beyond him : 'what do you mean you can only get pregnant a few days a month!?'

Am I still on the bus? I got a BFN yesterday but still no pms or sign of AF, which was due yesterday. I've never had a positive OPK but I got what kind of looked positive 7 days ago (see pic - am I just being hopeful)? DTD that morning but that would have been day 23 of my usually 28 day cycle.

Am just finding it all so confusing. Trying to be chilled about it, but I'm 31 and was on BC for over a decade. Worried about what that's done to my body!

Mines the opposite. As soon as we saw the fertility doc, he realised how out of his depth he was and has done some serious reading up on everything. 😂 I think he knows more than I do ha ha
He now makes mental notes of af so knows when I should ovulate and then when we should be testing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hopping off the bus ladies. AF turned up this morning with the worst cramping I have felt since I was a teenager for those of you still on this bus, fingers crossed for you x here's hoping Septembers bus is the one for me

First time since I started using the ov kit.

All the mixed feelings of excitement reminded me of when preparing for my first date! Hoping for this one

Congratulations @Lov3Rosie ! Do you mind if I ask you how many cycles you used OPK?

@RMarieClaire, I started last month (not so long). I relied to keep track of my cycle using an app. I used the ov kit last month for just 3 days (and get disappointed to always see lighter colours). I should have been more patient...

When I learned about MN and read through threads, I had a changed of heart to develop more patience and keep track again using ov kit (for the last 5 days).

Ladies.... feeling sad. I can feel AF coming and this is cycle 10 for us. Feels like it's never going to happen 😪

Hello! Popping by to introduce myself!

TTC: #2
Cycle No: 21 🙄
Cycle Length: 24 days ish at the moment. Currently 10dpo
AF/BFP due: 23rd ish

Have a history of irregular cycles and of not ovulating, though fairly certain I did this cycle and we DTD plenty at the right time. Had test to rule out pcos in May, then an early mc later that month so hopeful that if this is the cycle, it's a stickier one, though am mindful it took 3 and a half years to conceive last time, so might be in it for the long haul. Currently symptom spotting and quite a few twinges, but am holding out on testing until the end of next week.
