August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

Can I join? Very new to all this!

TTC first baby, stopped taking cerazette over a month ago but no AF yet so no clue what's going on! No idea where I am in my cycle until AF shows up - trying to ignore the pregnancy symptoms as I'm told it's normal for coming off the mini pill!

@jess21690 we are like stat twins, I'm 27 and also a teacher just off cerazette ha!

I posted here near the start of the thread but am over here properly now after a very faint BFP that lasted 24 hours before 'AF' kicked in two days later than it was due. I've been feeling very sad about it even though it was over so quickly I barely feel able to call it a chemical. I was so excited for that one day though.
CD3 now and the cramps are a lot more painful than usual but otherwise like a regular period. Trying to move on and look forward to this cycle and think positively!

Anybody ever used conceive plus lubricant? I bought it last time but had my bfp before we even opened it. Now trying for #2 wondering if it's worth a shot?

@noseringGirl, I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been there twice. First time 2 years ago bfp lasted a day before af turned up a day late and then again in April got a bfp on the Friday but lost it by the Wednesday.

As soon as you see the lines, you begin to hope, to feel a bit excited. For me I looked up when I would be due. It’s still a loss, my first affected me for months. I hope you’re ok.

Thanks @EverythingNow I'm sorry it's happened to you too but it does help to hear from others who've been there and felt the same. It's been a weird few days. I'm very fortunate to already have two wonderful children who have kept me busy. DH has been fab as well.

@daydreamdaisy good to know there is someone in the same boat!! How are you getting on with coming off cerazette? I haven't had any horrible symptoms but no sign of af yet. I think I may have ovulated last week due to certain symptoms but who knows, I was on the implant before the pill so haven't had af for 7 years, feel like my body is coming out of hibernation!
Fingers crossed the summer holidays is a perfect time for baby making!

@JustLikeTheySaid don't feel you have to keep positive, it's good to have a place to come and vent as well. Makes it all less lonely.

@NoseringGirl sorry to hear about your chemical, that must have been so disappointing. Fingers crossed for a bfp for you this cycle.

@LilyCat43 - I am using preseed lubricant which is a similar thing to conceive plus I think. I have read really good things about it so hopefully it makes the difference this month! 🤞🏻

@JustLikeTheySaid - I know it is so hard to stay positive when AF shows up again isn't it, for me I do think these threads help to keep the hope though. 🤞🏻 for you.

Those of you who use opks what CD do you start testing? I was thinking of CD10 or is that too early? Last cycle I ov'd on cd18 but I am not regular at all at the moment.

Thanks @FlapJackered! I generally start doing OPKs around CD12 but might wait until around CD14 this month as I don't usually ovulate until CD16 and get a bit bored of all the negative ones (I tend to do far too many in one day) and drive myself mad when they're getting close to positive.

@FlapJackered I usually start around cd 8 because I’ve had the odd few early ones.

@NoseringGirl glad you’ve got some support. I fortunately have 3DC already, but I’m older now and I’m honestly not sure it’s going to happen now.

@FlapJackered I'd start early first couple of times get used to what's normal for you. I normally ovulate around CD13
I'm CD11 today and not had a flashing smiley face on the clear blues yet I'm gutted cause DH goes away on CD14 so worried we're going to miss our chance yet again 😩 x

Question for those who are using OPKs, how different is your ovulation day to what the apps like Clue/Flo predict? As I'm only on Cycle 1 I haven't started tracking yet as just went based off what the app said. Wondering whether to start from next month if not successful this time...

I can't remember @organised5 because the apps become more accurate and take into account previous ovulation dates. I think if you've just come off a hormonal contraceptive it will take a while to even out x

@organised5 mine tends to be different from calendar method predictions. On average I have a 26 day cycle but don't ovulate until CD16 which is usually a couple of days later than apps predict.

Interesting, thank you @NoseringGirl @ImpatientMammy. We DTD 3 times in the fertile window that the app told me but if no luck this month I think I'll start tracking from next month.

Currently 4 dpo and SO IMPATIENT already 😂

I'd love to join too please! Have struggled with the emotions of it all the last couple of cycles (although know it's early days).

FP due 10th August

Thought I finally had AF today but was just spotting of some dark red/brown blood, barely anything at all and stopped after a couple of hours!
Too tempting to hope it was implantation bleeding ? Thoughts?

@jess21690 no horrid side effects yet and I'd been on it 5 years! Just hoping it hasn't messed hormones up too much as never had a period when on it!

@organised5 I'm doing both this month as it's cycle 1 for us for #2 we were absolutely rubbish the last time.
This is where I'm at so it seems like it is just about tallying up maybe 1 or 2 days out.

Glad the opks are getting stronger, don't want to get too excited about it all tho. As ever, there are no guarantees but I think it's really hard not to buy into believing it'll happen every time. 😭

@daydreamdaisy could be implantation, I read lots of stories on here of people who caught really quickly after stopping cerazette! Seems a bit late for withdrawal bleed but who knows! Did you have any signs of ov? Hoping baby dust for you!
