August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

I'm so sorry you're having such difficult times!
Don't listen to them about the Clomid.
The ultrasonographer that scans me every month proudly told me her and a friend have a clomid baby.
I'm on it too at the moment. It's worth a try.
Sadly ivf has really low success rates too when you really read up on it. That's where I'm headed. But as the woman, I have to loose weight before they will even consider me.
No one told DH to loose weight, only, 'cutting down smoking may help'
He has low volume and I notice something about morphology on his test.
We've had IUI twice now and the nurses almost rave about how good his sperm is.
He never takes his multivitamins.
I really wouldn't panic too much.

Have you considered IUI?
You can't get it on the nhs unfortunately, but it's maybe something to look into??

Hey how’s everyone getting on? Congrats on all the BFPs! I’m 9dpo today and tested this morning - bfn! I am having an unusual symptom for me though, a stretching/pulling sensation low down on the right, same side I had ov pains on. Good sign or not? AF due Sunday

@Wishful30 we were told IUI isn't worth it as it has even lower success rates than any other treatments. Plus poor morphology and low ovarian reserve rules us out too I think. I just feel like everything I try is a failure and I have no one to talk to. All I want to do is cry but if I do we won't be able to DTD tonight because it'll put pressure on DH and he'll sulk. At cd11 we need to be keeping up the SMEP.

Does Clomid make you over emotional? Am I just being a big baby?

Selling all my ttc and baby stuff. It's sad but I have to do it. Having it all here is stopping me move on.

I'm 35. Ttc #1. I have a low egg count too and was advised IUI is in effect hurrying things along a bit. My age is against me!

Clomid has not changed me emotionally. It's supposed help mature your follicle/s better.
I first had 5 and 3 on the egg count when I found out all the other results. I cried!
Was told 15 is bottom of normal...

After my first failed IUI and re scan she counted 6 and 4. And have agreed the clomid had helped 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess... why not try it?

I'm not greatly happy about giving myself hormones. But I'm now into year 2 of trying so... why not.
I've been given it for 3 cycles, but think many people take it for longer.

@namechanged1999 clomid made me incredibly emotional. I had 3 cycles of it and I was a mess. Crying in front of senior management at work at a crucial point in my career was definitely not a highlight. I always thought the success rates were quite good though. I'm another one with a clomid baby. I didn't enjoy being on it but I don't regret it because it gave me DS1. I wasn't ovulating without it and didn't think our chances were great anyway as DH's morphology was so low. I'm really sorry you're having such a difficult time and I hope the clomid helps more than you're expecting it to!

Evidently I'm very lucky with the clomid not affecting me. Made me feel more posit be hearing you have a clomid baby too. 😊

I completely forgot my clear blue monitor would ask me to test 🤦🏻‍♀️
3rd pee of the day after a nice big cup of tea.
I've been saving my FRER for the weekend.
Af due roughly Saturday.

Obviously it said NOT PREGNANT as I expected.
But the eyesight is still not convinced.

If af comes. I'm not testing at all next month. As evidently a bfp means nothing until af hasn't arrived.
This will be my 5th chemical in a year if that's the case. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄

Thank you @NoseringGirl for some positivity. I ovulate completely fine without Clomid which is why I found it odd that I was given it and then when my consultant said it wasn't really going to make a difference it broke my heart. I've asked my DH if he will come see someone with me and that I'm finished ttc. What I want him to do is agree to adoption so we can still have a child but not have to physically go through all this pain. Clomid hurts. I'm CD11/12 and it's getting hard to walk around.

namechanged1999 sorry you are having such a tough time. It's hard when you are being given conflicting advice
wishful30 maybe it's still too early to be testing without fmu?

I've started spotting today 5 days before af is due. This has been the first sign of af arriving for my last few cycles so guessing I'm out and now just waiting for af to start. Feeling really fed up today. I want to start using OPKs now but DH says we should just be grateful for having DS and just see what happens with getting pregnant again.

AF due today. I haven't done a test but I can't help but secretly hoping even though I didn't get a positive ovulation test in August. My cycle is very regular - 28 days - but I don't think I've been ovulating (unless I've somehow missed it). 3 cycles of nothing now so think if AF arrives today as predicted it's time for a trip to the docs 😢

@dragonmummy17 have you tried tracking bbt? It's less demanding than opk (I think), certainly less expensive, and will just help you get to know things? That said, mine seems to be all over the place at the moment!

Joining this bus. DTD on the 13th and aunt flow is due on the 25th. So now, the wait to test! I am tempted to test on the 21st!

I'm selling my clear blue fertility monitor on eBay. Has anyone bought one before? Don't know what price to put it on.

I have one. I think it was about £100 or so. So I'd say may try £60/70 ??

GP’s referred us to the fertility clinic today 😢 not sure how I feel - on one hand I’m happy because we’re getting closer I suppose, but actually admitting there’s a problem is just horrible.

10dpo and got a vvvfl on frer today, trying to not get my hopes up but it’s so hard!!

Fingers crossed for good news! I think it's always good to know where you stand and be able to act on something if you need to.

For the ladies who temp - what change in temparature are you looking out for to spot ovulation, AF and possible pregnancy?

It looks so complicated when I see photos of graphs posted.

@wishful30 thanks - I’ve already had scans, swabs and day 21 bloods and DH has had a semen analysis - all normal so far. Not really sure what happens next.

Back ache = af
My sort of on/off cold is worse today. Maybe hay fever? Very run down.
Slept from 9:30pm - 7:30am with a couple of pee wake ups. Temp is still up - Prob coz I'm sick.
Really hungry = impending af

Test is void really as negative, but think I can see a line....
af due tomorrow/Saturday.
Usually have a bit of spotting the day before, but nothing yet. But having mild cramps.

Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's all just a bit of a mind f** if you ask me

@HelloBrass I'm not sure but I think you have to track a couple of cycles then you see a pattern. I've only tracked one cycle and it looks pretty bonkers to me

Can't decide whether to test or not today. AF due today - no sign yet and no real PMS. But I also did opk throughout (and before and after) fertile window and didn't get a positive. Am I just wasting my hopes and money?

Anyone ever heard of a BFP without a positive opk?
