TTC First Month

Hi all! I’m new to this app - my husband and I have been married for a year now (I’m 22 and he’s 24) and we’re in the process of buying our first house. We’re so ready to have children - my body is telling me constantly that it wants Kids, I know I sound crazy lol but I want nothing more than to have them. I stopped taking the pill in August and had my first period on the 8th October - this is our first month TTC. Everyone we speak to is telling us that we’re too young and aren’t ready (which really infuriates me!) but it means we can’t speak to anyone about it.... so I thought maybe I’d post on here and see if anyone is in the same boat? I’m currently on the 1ww but I just don’t think it’s going to happen this month... I’ve been taking folic acid everyday but never knew until TTC that it can be a really long process!

Is anyone in the same boat/have any tips? Sorry for the long paragraph!! X

@Leonora94 hey! I think not telling anyone is the best thing, I'm so sick of people having opinions on it 😩 one of DH's pathetic stupid immature friends keeps telling me about how he's made a bet I'll be pregnant by the end of this year... people don't understand how hard it is to get pregnant! X

@cupcakesandglitter I know the pressures immense, it's sort of the opposite with our friends they keep commenting on people who are pregnant like "ugh why on earth would you want to do that" or "gameover" and "people with kids are so annoying" I think it would be different if they found we were and would be supportive but still silent judging would 100% happen. Then on the complete other end of the scale we were at a family meal yesterday were my entire family were debating what sex (the non existent) baby would be!

@Leonora94 😂 I completely get it, my sisters are ALWAYS talking about their potential niece/nephew and then openly ask me to have one (they're all younger than me) but still!

I thought that with my friends, but my 'best friend' told me openly that she'd be pissed off with me if I had kids! (This is the same one who said I was boring because I'm married)

Ugh yeah mine sound similar...it's scary because I can't help think I'm just going to lose all friends when I have kids!

@Leonora94 same 😂 tbh I feel like a baby would bring me more happiness than friends could right now so I'd happily swap 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi guys, this is going to sound strange but bare with me. At this family meal on Sunday my Nan (whose really spiritual) told me she had a dream I was pregnant...now I didn’t think anything of it because my nans been dropping baby hints for ages and I don’t really believe in “messages” or anything. Any way today I couldn’t get it out of my head so I thought wtf I’ll go pee on a stick. I only use an app to track my ov days and according that I am ovulating right now so could this of mest up the test? Is it wishful thinking or an error? I just don’t see how it can be possible after I had AF 😫

Can anyone see it? I feel like I’m going mad 😫

I can see a faint faint line! But please don't get your hopes up as exciting as it is, it could be an Evap line..... soooo excited for you though! Test again tomorrow!

Doing okay @cupcakesandglitter - still getting cramps which make me very nervous but spoken to a friend who has had a few losses as well as having 3DC who’s reassured me as much as she can that it’s super normal and just my body doing what it needs to. Also still have serious urge to POAS every time I go to the loo which I’m miserably resisting 😂

@PickettBowtruckles awww, it's such an exciting time though - enjoy it!! My mum has had four miscarriages and a LOT of kids 🙄 don't stress yourself out about it... I'm so pleased for you! I've been filling my husband in and he's super happy 😂😂 xx

So I’ve done another test and BFN which makes more sense to be honest, I think my Nan was just getting in my head! Thanks for all your help, id say this would be the last test freak out but I’d be a liar 😂

@PickettBowtruckles I think cramping is pretty normal a lot of change is going on in there! I’m super happy for you @cupcakes is right it’s such an exciting time 😁🎉

Hi this is my first ever post. Its not really my first cycle TTC. Got a bfn last cycle. I'm well into my tww now, I'm 11dpo and cd 22. I haven't really had any symptoms I wouldn't have had anyway in the lead up to AF but I guess just got to wait and see. I just didn't realise how hard it would be getting a bfn and how frustrating the waits could be and IV only just started haha.
Sending lots of baby dust to everyone.
