TTC First Month

Hi all! I’m new to this app - my husband and I have been married for a year now (I’m 22 and he’s 24) and we’re in the process of buying our first house. We’re so ready to have children - my body is telling me constantly that it wants Kids, I know I sound crazy lol but I want nothing more than to have them. I stopped taking the pill in August and had my first period on the 8th October - this is our first month TTC. Everyone we speak to is telling us that we’re too young and aren’t ready (which really infuriates me!) but it means we can’t speak to anyone about it.... so I thought maybe I’d post on here and see if anyone is in the same boat? I’m currently on the 1ww but I just don’t think it’s going to happen this month... I’ve been taking folic acid everyday but never knew until TTC that it can be a really long process!

Is anyone in the same boat/have any tips? Sorry for the long paragraph!! X

@PickettBowtruckles that looks exactly like mine did on the Wednesday and then on the Thursday there was no line at all! I expected it to be a lot darker but that was all I got. So happy for you Pickett! X

Oh yes! I would be so happy for more BFP on this thread! I've also been taking vit c, folic acid and evening primrose oil if that helps.
No, not at all. Going to ring my GP I have two appointments already this week for other things. Hopefully my asthma nurse can confirm it for me then I can be all joyful 😍 x

@NelleB most GPs don't blood test unless there's a reason too the POAS are very accurate in terms of posative resaults so they just go by that. Congratulations x

I have some pre conception vitamins but to be honest I stopped taking them as I was worried they were contributing to my period not coming back - about a week and a half after I stopped I came on! Might be a coincidence but going to not take them this cycle and see if my cycle is any better.

@NelleB let us know how tomorrow's test goes! Looks to me like a clear positive already though!

I did another OPK (never do two a day!) and it's definitely darker so lots of trying today and tomorrow!!

Yeah @NelleB I'm trying for my second with my little one non of my Mam friends in Portsmouth or Newcastle had blood tests. Their like 99% accurate or something for a positive resault when taken correctly. So you can get excited now ☺️ x

@ImpatientMammy me too! All the signs are pointing that way and I just 'feel' it! Praying I'm just one of those people that take a while to get higher HCG levels

I think I'm broken 😩

@NelleB I've been peeing on OPK's all day but I'm not even convinced yesterday was positive anymore! I've always had some kind of a line and though I thought yesterday's was darker I feel like I've stared at it so long my eyes are deceiving me!

Here's a photo of all last weeks so you can see I still get lines, and then the bottom 5 - the top one is yesterday's where I thought it was positive and then the 4 below are in order from 10am, 1pm, 5pm and just now (8:30pm). No change to any?! Arrrrgh. I'm genuinely about to make DH use one just to see one that looks different 😂

@PickettBowtruckles the top three on CD 15 look darker to me. Have you used any apps to help track? X

@NelleB I'm using Ovia but am not convinced on its dates yet as last cycle was 51 days and it's not accounted for that yet and is still predicting my period as if I was having a 28 day cycle. According to it however this is my fertile week which is similar to what the OPK's are saying? I'll carry on doing them regardless and we're still trying lots just in case 😂 X

@PickettBowtruckles I think you can't go wrong with what you are doing.
I stopped my pill in August, had a withdrawal bleed in September and then my next two cycles were 35 days. Waiting 51 one must be torture!

I am definitely pregnant after 3 texts, 2 FRER and a clear blue 🙈. Still in full denial mode. X

It's official, I've been welcomed as the newest member of crazy town 👍🏻

Made DH take an ovulation test as I was convinced they were broken as all mine look the same (line, but not dark as control). He produced the tiniest but still there line (anyone know what that means?! 😂) so I just dipped one in water to prove it was broken - obviously no line 😂

You know it's bad when you're only on month 2 and already this crazy...

I feel like a mad lady 🙈 I'm still inputting all the data I have into Ovia, think I might have to buy a thermometer to temp as well but don't want to go too OTT (if I haven't already!) when it's only month 2.

@PickettBowtruckles I already have a thermometer and OPKs and only first month so at least your not alone in crazy town 😂 x
