Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

More drama in the House of Impatience. Before dp went to do her insem this afternoon I did another test. This time an excrutiatingly pale eye-squinter of a line appeared within the 10mins, then faded a few mins later. What the hell does THAT mean?! (Shall look up the peeonastick goddess, she'll know.) Anyway, it was still so impossibly faint that it could have been just a thing that happens with the test. Like this morning's, it was the kind of line only a desperado saddo would have detected. So, after all these months and years of discussing and playing with fantasy futures and planning etc we had to make a snap decision at the top of the stairs because dp had to leave when the test's 10mins were up. We decided she should go. So we've taken The Risk. What a truly bizarre situation.

sideways · 06/04/2007 19:13

Bloody hell impatience, tis sounds agonising for all concerned.

Are you doing another test in the morning (ie. so I can find out before I go)???

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 06/04/2007 19:14

Blimey Impatience - what a rollercoaster for you at the moment! Are all the tests you have used the same brand? You are still slightly early for testing aren't you? Sounds promising to me but must be sooo frustrating for you. Good luck with DP's insemination, hopefully it will all go well! I think if the pressure is off of you then that definitely helps. When we were TTC DS2 and were waiting for our second consultant appt I was convinced it wouldn't happen before then so just sat back and waited IYSWIM. Found out I was 10 weeks pg a week before appointment date! Still think it is because I took the pressure off of myself.

Feedmenow - stairsurfing is class!!!

Impatience · 06/04/2007 19:30

Yes Sideways, I will test in the morning. I'll let you know!

Beckle, the first test I used was a strip test from Access Diagnostics, but the other 3 () have been the Superdrug own brand which someone said weren't great. Hopefully the postman will bring my ultra sensitive ones from AD tomorrow.

Give me your honest opinion: Do you think we are completely insane for risking two simultaneous pregnancies? We're both really wibbling about it now...

eclipse · 06/04/2007 19:39

Impatience, if you're both up the duff together at least you'll be able to remain in the hut out of panic and terror at the thought of coping with two screamers at the same time (and I'm only referring to the babies there).

feedmenow, I remember the olden days when I'd wake up after a night on the tiles and compare unidentified drinking injuries with my friends as we tried to piece together our movements of the night before to work out how we acquired them. I thank the lord I didn't wake every weekend morning to see my antics on youtube. It's nice to see that your friends, rather than take you aside and suggest bodysurfing down the stairs is not your best idea to date, reach for their phones and film you for prosperity.

On a ttc note, all those who lie on their backs with their legs in the air after a shag to get the little swimmers heading in the right direction, might want to try bodysurfing down the stairs. It occurs to me it might be even more effective, with all the upside down bumping. Just a thought...

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 06/04/2007 20:03

Honest opinion Impatience? I'd have done exactly the same as you!

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 06/04/2007 20:04

I'm a follow your heart and panic later kind of gal!

seaside72 · 06/04/2007 20:20

Impatience - I dont think you are mad at all - I think I already said I would go for it if it were me! It will kind of be like having twins? and lots of people do that and survive (just!) I am a bit of a fatalist and think what will be will be - and maybe this is meant to be for you and DP! (Wish I could be so calm and cool about my own FTC )

feedme - PMSL at your youtube link - Brilliant A stirling performance from a huttee!! Thankyou for the belly laugh- I will have to give stair surfing a go! (hope the carpet burns are clearing up )

Chickbabymummy · 06/04/2007 22:57

Feedmenow - you rock, sister!!!

Impatience - Ooh I'm very excited, not just one baby but two! If you are and your dp get pregnant how wonderful it will be for you to share the experience together. There are quite a few men who are curious to know what it's like being pregnant, it's one of the things that you really do have to experience for yourself - my dh admits to being quite jealous when i was pregnant. Ha, a bout of constipation and m/s will soon put them right...

beansprout · 07/04/2007 07:44

IIMMMMMPPPPYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

Well?

LatenightOwl · 07/04/2007 08:13

Can't stand the waiting.......impatience your are making us all impatient!!!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeee let us know how you are doing the wait is killing us...

I too am off for a couple of days so will drop by on late Monday/Tuesday to see what is happening..

FMN - wicked video clip!

Impatience · 07/04/2007 09:05

Sorry girls, was waiting for my ultra tests to arrive in the post. Did the last of the Superdrugs first thing. Again, a v v v faint line, but impossibly so. Then used an ultra sensitive one, still first morning pot. No line.

Logically we should see this as a negative. If the superdrug line is a line we reckon it should be darker this morning than before. And if the superdrug test is picking up the hormone v faintly, the ultra test really should have done? Looks like the bloody superdrug test has lead us up the garden path.

But of course still in limbo, not really believing it's all a sham. Temp still high. Actually it's REALLY high. Have no idea one way or the other. It is driving us completely insane. This is complete torture.

Altogether now: AAAAaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!

sideways · 07/04/2007 11:04

The wait is driving us mad, so I dread to think what it is doing to you and your dp.

You are right, the ultra-sensitive ones should pick up the hormones.

Will be breaking into poeple's houses in the dead of night over the weekend to check up on you!

Everything crossed!

Impatience · 07/04/2007 11:15

Thanks Sideways. TBH I feel wretched. I know we all suffer the am-I-aren't-I every bloody month, but I seem to be taking this to extremes. This is the second month in a row I believe I've seen v faint lines, and then the hope builds and then crashes. Right now I feel knackered and sick, most probably because I've spent the last couple of days building to a huge crescendo of stress. I'm gonna blow! Now my boobs are really hurting. They used to do this for a few days before period, but not for ages. But I've also just had a tiny bit of brown spotting, which I do get pre-period, so my symptom spotting is useless! But we really want to know, because if I am pregnant we won't insem dp any more so really we need to know NOW! Yes, we are going completely insane here. Also I'm running a pretty tough race later, so would also like to know so I can either push myself through inevitable rough patches without worrying or just ease off with a smug little smile and come in last but pregnant!

So nothing at all like a relaxing long weekend here...

My apologies for spreading the stress around! (Though I'm sure you don't lie awake at night wondering if I am pregnant! If you are, you need to get a grip )

Enjoy the sun x

yum03creameggs · 07/04/2007 19:31

Impatience - please check that the packs that you recieved in the post have 10muI written on the packet as they made a mistake with me and sent me the 25 ones instead.... let us know.... thanks

feedmenow · 07/04/2007 19:53

Impatience, funnily enough I WAS lying i bed last night thinking "Wow! I wonder if she IS pg!!" and was on the verge of telling my dp that one of my MN friends might be pg, and how exciting and blah, blah, blah.....so I obviously need to get a grip

Impatience · 07/04/2007 20:21

Yep, I got the 10mui but thanks for the heads up.

FMN, I confess I do the same! Thank goodness you can throw yourself down the stairs to knock some sense into you!

Still no signs either way. I'm frankly starting to get a bit embarrassed about the whole thing... Have some First Response for the morning, and the ultras... And dp will be doing her LH sticks. What a palava!!

Thanks for giving me an outlet. I believe it's helping me stay just the right side of sane

Chickbabymummy · 07/04/2007 21:41

IMPY - sending you lots of good vibes... in the form of a massive joint hehehehehe.
Thnking of you and your dp xx

eclipse · 08/04/2007 01:04

Now feedmenow has 'fessed up I'll also admit to wondering about the pee status in the Impatience household. Woke up at 6.30am and thought 'Hmm, I wonder...' and had a quick MN check. I did think, when we hadn't heard anything, how come she hasn't just dashed from the loo to give us an update - like you don't have any other life. Keeping it all crossed.

Chickbabymummy · 08/04/2007 10:15

I know, its not fair to keep us in suspenders!

Impatience · 08/04/2007 10:56

Am at in-laws' - not easy to post! I think I'm getting my period . Temp still really high, but First Response test negative this morning (spectacularly failed to pack my ultra sensitive strips). Am now just starting to get a tiny tiny bit of brown spotting which is how my period starts. I'm vaguely relieved that I think an answer is on the way, but mainly I'm miserable as old sin. I really thought I might be pregnant this month, and for the first time in ages had started to properly imagine what things would be like. I'm gutted. And tricky being here because I just want to curl up in a big mope .

Thanks for being on my side ladies. I shall of course confirm either way. Weird to think of women all round the country wondering whether I'll get my period . xxx

Chickbabymummy · 08/04/2007 12:58

Yes you're famous
Sorry to hear you are feeling bad, sending you a big hug!

feedmelotsofeastereggsnow · 08/04/2007 13:15

Impy, can you get plastered? That is always my way of "looking o the bright side" when period arrives.... you know, "oh well, at least I can get really pissed" type thing. I know that this is much, much, much less bright than "oh look, I'm pregnant!!! Yippeeeeee!!" but along with "oh look, I can eat loads of brie and stilton and nuts and...." etc, etc, it at least goes some small way to easing the horrid disappointment
Hope everyone is having a lovely easter weekend in the glorious weather!
xx

Impatience · 08/04/2007 14:43

To my shame I have been FTC for so long now that I don't hold back on anything on the vague offchance that I might be pregnant... For the first few months I was annoyingly saintly. Now I am demonic.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend x

Bbabymumma · 08/04/2007 17:13

Impatience if it does properly arrive I know we don't do hugs in here but I really do sympathise. It happened to me last month - was sure I could see faint line but AF arrived.. eventually...late. Rude bitch.

Am hoping that doesn't happen to you and she stays away.

Enjoy the sunshine. Eat chocolate. xx
