I've just reached cycle 10 and I'm despairing. I've tried to stay focused and positive all this time but it's all gotten a bit much. Each month I've tried something new but nothing seems to be working. (This month is acupuncture month, last month was fertilitea month)!

I guess I just needed to vent BlushI don't want to sound like a total debbie downer but today's been tough!

Hi ladies - recognise a couple of names from some other threads waves.

Would like to join here too if that's okay?

TTC #1
Cycle #15
CD #16
Age 29

OH and I are just about to do first waves of tests (bloods, swabs, SA) so we can be referred to a fertility consultant.

I've had the cycle from hell this month. Extremely heavy and painful period at the start of the month, couldn't move or do anything and pain killers were altogether useless. Didn't sleep for 2 nights because of the pain. OH and I went away for my fertile week this week and I've had serious abdominal cramping and sharp shooting pains since ovulation on Friday. After phoning 111, managed to get an appointment with the tiny village hospital GP who said I've probably had a cyst rupture on my ovary. He says that it probably points to an underlying fertility issue but I guess that will become apparent when I have the various tests done.

Still trying to stay positive though, I know a lot about OPKs, temping, supplements so am hoping to help anyone where I can. Good luck everyone!

ThatsALovelyBush · 18/10/2016 18:06

Could I join in as well?

I'm 31, TTC number one for 10 months and have tried the relaxed approach, the shagging every day approach, recording every bloody symptom under the sun approach and everything in between.

I guessed (and then had it confirmed) that SIL is just gone 12 weeks pregnant a few weeks ago. While I'm really excited for them, I had a bit lot of a cry and I'm pretty convinced my ovaries have shrivelled up.

I'm 5 dpo for this cycle, AF due a week today and allowing myself a little bit of hope for this month!

Nice to meet you all Smile

Margo5 · 19/10/2016 07:46

Hi Sk1pper great that you have joined us on here, welcome! Sorry that you have had more pain - at least you are doing something about it, when are your tests? Still you never know, try to keep positive for that BFP. I think we will go to the docs in the new year if no luck by then... shit that's only a couple of cycles away! Good idea going away for your fertile week Wink

I do have a temping question for you... I usually wake at 6.30 when my alarm goes off, but if I wake at say 5am should I take my temp then or wait for 6.30 (I always go back to sleep again!). My thermometer makes a horrible beeping noise which wakes DH who is a light sleeper anyway so I don't want to disturb him!

Welcome Lovelybush I think that dealing with people you know getting pregnant is really hard when you want it so badly and have been trying for months. We can all sympathise and know how it feels, keep that positivity up!

Have a great Wednesday folks xx

keepingfaithxx · 19/10/2016 10:28

Hello ladies! And hello to new people!!!

Hopefully the witch had left you by now! With me ... I'm 9DPO and due on in Sunday.. been feeling terribly nauseous and been having cramps ... also boobs still don't hurt which is great for me!!! Fingers crossed!!!!
User how terribly awful for you :( it really sounds like you've been through the worst!! Fingers crossed for you for your BFP soon!!!

Soooooo basically ladies.... I'm due to test this weekend and had some symptoms but trying not to get excited!!! I even ordered more OPKS for next month haha xxxxxxx

Colabottles64 · 19/10/2016 22:49

Hello everyone I haven't met yet, loving the solidarity and having women who really understand this here!

Best of luck bush - it's very bittersweet hearing another person is PG, because it brings into focus so much what you want & the disappointment and it feels unfair and makes you wonder what's wrong that it won't happen for you, and on top of that you WANT to be happy for them but feel guilty that you're feeling all those other emotions!! Im expecting to hear my SIL is pg again any day now and I'm dreading it 😢

So AF FINALLY turned up on day 35 - I completely reckon it was the antibiotics I was on during first 7 days of the cycle delaying ov by that long as I got period today, 8 days late.

Here's to cycle 11 & the whole start again! This month I'm on a health kick. 3 days in to a diet cutting refined foods out and eating more low carb, fresh and unprocessed food. Eating really well, no deprivation and down 5 pounds!! I reckon water a lot of that as bread makes me bloat and I've cut it. Feeling so much less work stress, going to OPK just so I know during tww when it's pointless to test. Feeling quite relaxed about things this month. We shall see!

sk1pper · 19/10/2016 23:14

Margo - hi :) OH is doing his SA on Friday, my first bloods are on day 3 of my next cycle, so 29th pending AF. You should always take your temp the moment you wake up after 4 hours of unbroken sleep, even if it means you will have an inconclusive result for FF or the app you're using. I know you don't want to disturb OH but if I was waking up a little earlier a couple of times a week, I'd be tempted to set two alarms. One for temping and one for wake up.

faith - hi nice to meet you, and fingers crossed for your test. What pg tests do you use? You've also reminded me I need more OPKs too! Pain much better today thanks, I did a 21km walk today and I think the exercise has improved my circulation all round and dislodged all the crap in my tubes.

cola - always good to go on a health drive, green vegetables and things like lentils and quinoa are perfect. There are some pretty good recipes on the bbc good food website. Pineapple is an amazing fruit too if you like that? It's good for all kinds of things, not just fertility and I love it.

Mimilicious013 · 20/10/2016 10:36

Hello ladies. Cd5Star
Nothing much happening yet but dtd anyways Wink

Sorry for af colaFlowers.lt is extremely frustrating when it is late. You just want to get on with a cycle already. Fx for this cycle.

Waves skipper. Thought of you the other day when l didn't know what happened on the Sept bus . good luck with the tests and hope you get a sneaky bfp before.

Fx for you keeping.a few more days to go. Indulge us with your symptoms please . really hope it's your time.

Hie margo , l am 35,cycle 17 and testing on November 16.here is hoping we become bump buddies.

Hie bush, fingers crossed this is your month.

Sorry for af ice wicked witchAngry.good luck this cycle.

sk1pper · 20/10/2016 16:15

Hi mimi - really great to see you here xx

Yeah I couldn't take the bus thread anymore, too many ladies coming and going with their BFPs. I don't think it's jealousy as such, I really really loved chatting and helping everyone on that thread but I just kinda felt like I didn't fit there anymore.

I see youre early in your cycle, good luck! When do you except to ov?

Mimilicious013 · 20/10/2016 18:45

I do get your point of view skipper the buses have so much traffic and it's harder to get to know everyone, and it's like everyone just comes gets their bfp then leaves.

Here is hoping we stick around for each other until we all get upduffed. My fw is from cd10-15. Ov around cd13/14. Where are you in the cycle now?

sk1pper · 20/10/2016 19:04

Cd20, AF on CD 26-28 but I think this cycles wasted what with my ovary going pop. I'm just grateful the pain has gone. It would be perfect to grad together!!

Mimilicious013 · 20/10/2016 19:13

A week to go then. Fx. You do know that most people get their bfps when they least expect. Hope you had at least dtd just once. It really is tiring ttc for a long time.

keepingfaithxx · 20/10/2016 20:32

Evening ladies :)
Symptom time... CD27 .. 10DPO
Nauseous for last three days!!! Tummy flutters all the time and cramps too although boobs have started to hurt now so I'm not convinced and I stupidly took a CB digital tonight and BFN :( so feeling down!
Cola best of luck this cycle glad your feeling so positive :)
Skipper glad the pain is better! Normally I wouldn't use CB digital just cos I had a spare one would normally be a first response ... how about you???
Hi mimi :)
Symptoms above :) and thank you for the luck :) feeling pretty low after I tested early I knew I shouldn't have but still :(

Margo5 · 21/10/2016 07:58

Hi ladies - so funny I weighed myself this morning and since last Friday I have lost 12lb - can't be true!!! Maybe I weighed myself wrong last week, but it was on same set of scales in the same place, on a level tiled floor, and I weighed myself again to make sure... hmmm! I'm not complaining and have been good - but WTF!!

CD 9 for me and not DTD yet this cycle but hope to tonight - AF only left me a couple of days ago - not sure of a plan this month... we shall see! My average ovulation day is 22, although the last 2 cycles have been 18 & 19... might do an ov test in a min just to check though...

Loving the positivity on here, let's keep it that way. Even if we are not getting BFPs, at least we can be positive in the fact we are supporting one another on our TTC journeys!

Faith nice to hear from you again but sorry to hear of the BFN - what is it with us all testing early and being disappointed- I am determined to wait for AF this month but sure I will cave in! You are definitely still in and keep positive the nausea is def a good sign! Flowers

Cola sorry to hear of the witch's arrival but at least you can now move on with a fresh cycle! Great you are on your health kick and feeling relaxed, as you say here's to cycle 11!

Sk1pper hope your AH does ok with his SA today, bet it's a bit nerve wracking for men to have to do that, so much pressure it must be hard to 'deliver'! Thanks for tip about temping, need to get a thermometer that doesn't beep! My chart is a bit up and down and I think it is due to taking temp at wrong time if I've woken early... good idea about alarm too. I found that the other thread that I joined briefly and you were on a bit too much, too many people I couldn't keep up! I felt that I had more in common with this thread, as everyone here is in a similar boat, so we can support each other and despite our worries there is a lot of positivity which I love!

Mimi yes fingers crossed we can be bump buddies... hopefully this will be our month!

Have a great Friday ladies xx

Mimilicious013 · 21/10/2016 14:32

Hie ladies
Happy Friday Flowers
Wow margo that is super impressive. What are you doing differently? Really need some tips cause l am on the plus side now Wink

Sorry for the bfn keeping but clear blue s aren't that sensitive and you are still early. No more testing until af is late hun . Rooting for your bfp.

keepingfaithxx · 21/10/2016 19:23

Hi ladies!!!
So today no AF yet still feeling nauseous and dizzy and just not with it... keep getting cramps like AF is going to come but then doesn't arghhhhh!!!
Margo wow!!!! You go girl that's amazing!! Wishing you all the luck this cycle I always OPK way earlier than I need to hehe... I know!! I shouldn't have tested early I don't know why I did it! Thank you for your positive wishes :)
Mimi.... I've heard that those tests are aren't that good... hoping it was too early! Thank you that really means a lot!! Hope this is your month too :)

Colabottles64 · 22/10/2016 15:54

Hey ladies just catching up, my almost 2yo DD is napping and so this is one of the most peaceful, precious moments in my week ☺️

Margo, I'm up for tryingthe no testing pact...but I'm so weak I will almost certainly crack! Fair play to you on the diet, kicking ass!! Ive been good this week and worked out twice. I'm going out for date night with hubby to the cinema later so I'll be letting loose a bit! The difference in how I feel after just a week is fabulous, are you getting the buzz? X

Faith, really hoping that digit just wasn't sensitive enough. The days around AF being due are so slow and hard to not think about testing!! Best of luck xxx

Mimi I LOVE the word "upduffed" 😂 I share your sentiment, nice to stick with a good bunch! X

Skipper hello, nice to meet you and best of luck X

My details as of today:

TTC #2 (DD1 2 in a month)
CD4
Cycle 11
Trying since Jan
AF due 17th Nov

keepingfaithxx · 22/10/2016 18:11

Hi cola :) lovely to hear from you!!
His lovely you have caught a moment of peace :)
Hope this is your cycle! Sending you luck!! I'm hoping I tested too soon too!!!
So today... about 12pm had cramps like AF cramps went to the toilet and there was a small amount of blood so though oh heck AF is here... since then ABSOLUTELY NOTHING which is strange for me... normally when AF comes its severe cramps and lots of blood straight away!!! I'm really hoping this is a good sign Confused

sk1pper · 22/10/2016 19:00

Does anyone get brown spotting just before their period? TMI alert!!! I always seem to get this dark brown, gloopy discharge in the 5 days leading up to AF. It's not enough to come through to my knickers, in fact I only notice when I wipe after going for a wee. I'm starting to worry that maybe my luteal phase isn't as long as I thought it is...

Colabottles64 · 23/10/2016 09:42

Skipper I never used to notice it but I do notice the same kind of spotting you mention before my period. I think it's because I'm now hyper aware of everything going on now and symptom spotting so much, I reckon I probably always had it but didn't notice!

What are opinions on IC OPKs vs chemist/clear blue ones? Do you think the IC ones are ok? I haven't really noticed any difference in quality and think I'm gonna stick to IC going forward

Margo5 · 24/10/2016 07:51

Morning, hope everyone had a good weekend? Smile We visited a horse and donkey sanctuary - I got to stroke a lot of the donkeys so was very happy! No news here, day 12 so should really get on it with DTD as usually ovulate around day 18... difficult at the weekend as staying at father in laws house Blush. Will start using OPKs today I think.

Mimi & Faith I must have weighed myself incorrectly the first week so don't be too impressed with my 12lb weight loss! Slimming World is good, I find it easier than Weight Watchers and find following a plan works for me rather than just cutting down... did have fish and chips at the weekend but we were by the seaside so rude not to!**

Cola it does feel good when you exercise, it's just the thought of it some times! I try and run at least twice a week and go to yoga. I hope you enjoyed your date night? What did you see? We saw Girl On The Train at the weekend which was very depressing- was a good film though not totally faithful to the book. I found it odd that it was shot in America and enjoyed the book more!
I've asked people about OPKs before and the general thought is that Internet cheapys are fine and are what doctors use. I have borrowed my friends clear blue Fertility monitor but the sticks for that are about £30 per month so soon gave up with it!

Faith any more news? I sometimes get spotting for a few days leading up to AF also sometimes randomly in the middle of the 2ww which I excitedly think is implantation bleeding! But if this is not usual for you it may be a good sign - fx for you! Sk1pper I usually get a bit of brown gloop like you've described, just for a day ish before AF. I've always assumed it is normal and don't count it as AF. I agree with Cola that as we are so aware of symptoms these days maybe this is something we have overlooked in the past and not thought about...

Enjoy your Mondays peeps! Confused

Margo5 · 24/10/2016 07:52

Not good with this bold text business!! Didn't mean to shout Confused

Mimilicious013 · 24/10/2016 08:14

Morning ladies
Weekend was great margo, visited my mom on Sunday but spent most of it indoors with family. Glad you had an experinceSmile with the donkeys. Fw is here for me too . playing nice to dh this week Hmm.lm on cd9 and ov by Friday.

Skipper there are times that l do spot before af.lts crazy when ttc. Have you kept away from poas?fx that the witch stays away.

cola l think the ic are just as efficient and they save money lol.l have since stopped using them though. I just go by cm and try to dtd at least eod in the 2nd week of my cycle.

keeping hope af has stayed away. How are you feeling now? any new exciting symptoms? Fx fx fx!!!!

Waves to everyone

sk1pper · 24/10/2016 08:23

I never poas for pg anymore, seems like a waste of money. I feel particularly periody today but it shouldn't be due to wed/thu. Really don't want it to be earlier as will mean my cycle is shortening.

Mimilicious013 · 24/10/2016 09:04

So true about the waste of money. Especially if you ttc for a while. Fx it's not af for you. When I had dd, it took me over a year ttc and I had totally stopped buying hpts when one month l realized af hadn't come then bam. This time it's taking a lot longer and I get a headache just thinking of it.

Let's hope at least one of us gets lucky.

keepingfaithxx · 24/10/2016 14:17

Hi ladies!!!
Happy Monday!! ;)
Let's get up to date... no Aunt Flo yet!!! And got a massive squinter this morning with FMU so really not trying to get excited and keeping everything crossed!!!
Skipper can't say I've experienced it myself but heard a lot of people have :) hope everything else is going well!!! An sign of AF yet???
Cola
I've been using amazon cheapies and are working fine for me :) can't hurt to try others though :)
Margo... well still good that you'd sticking to it!! How did the OPK come up?? Ahhh I'd find it nearly impossible if staying at the in laws best of luck ;)
I LOVE DONKEYS!!!!!!! I've even adopted one hehehe
Mimi how lovely you had a family weekend :) and best of luck for FW then the DREADED TWW!!! Crossing everything for you xxx
