I've just reached cycle 10 and I'm despairing. I've tried to stay focused and positive all this time but it's all gotten a bit much. Each month I've tried something new but nothing seems to be working. (This month is acupuncture month, last month was fertilitea month)!

I guess I just needed to vent BlushI don't want to sound like a total debbie downer but today's been tough!

Had my scan, seems they were only looking at the womb - not sure if that's normal? The lining was okay, no fibroids or water sacs, apparently it all looked fine. I thought they might check other parts but no idea what the doctor put me in for...Assume doctor gets a detailed analysis. Don't know how to feel, I guess it's a good thing but I was certain they'd find something.

Colabottles64 · 29/10/2016 22:40

Looong day - Peppa Pig live in morning, visited friends, did the shop, mammoth X factor episode and a glass of wine! Hope ye are having a lovely Weekend

margo, hope reunion went well

skipper, wish I could offer any helpful advice but I've no clue what tests they do. Great that it's all normal but totally get that is also a bit frustrating when you have a sense yourself something isn't right. It's progress though to have a positive back from a check xxx

keepingfaithxx · 29/10/2016 22:44

Hello ladies!!!
Sorry I haven't posted work is crazy!!! So much to catch up on...
Hello to Chloe!!
Margo...yay for the positive OPK!! Hope this month is it for you! And I would really love to take up yoga again! Interesting that it can be beneficial! Lovely that you are going to share with your friends.. I did and I've had nothing but support hopefully they do the same for you, I'm sure they will :) DTD timings sound good too !!
Kookie any sign of AF??? Hoping something happens for you soon!
Mauw interesting about your cycles I have the same thing!! I can be 28..26 and this month was 30!!! So OPKS are a must for me! Any sign of AF yet? I hope she's stayed away!!!
Mimi thank you :) hope the 2WW isn't too slow for you!! How're you feeling??
Cola glad your feeling so laid back :) have fun with the shagging ;) haha
And wow to the exercise!!
Skipper how you feeling Hun?? Good news about the scan but I also would've assumed they'd dig deeper?? Although they must know what they're doing ;)
Sooooo guys on CD5 starting OPKS Monday and AF buggered off yesterday so DTD to celebrate ;);) haha... feeling positive ... and also wanted to share I e given up smoking which I know most of you will think I should've given up months ago (foolishly just thought I'd give up when I got BFP!!!) but read about how much it can affect fertility!!! But it's a habit I've had for 10 years and I've managed to kick it!!!!
Lotsssss of luck to everyone :)

Mimilicious013 · 30/10/2016 05:06

Happy Sunday Flowers
Well done keeping on quitting smoking [smile.dtd already, way to go girl.

I joined in the glass of wine too cola, hope you are also enjoying the weekend.

Hope your reunion went well and good luck in the tww hun.

Glad everything is looking good so far skipper.Fx it's onlya matter of luck dear and you soon have your lovely bfp.

Hope everyone is fine. The tww is taking forever Hmm

Chloejames22 · 30/10/2016 15:51

Well done on giving up the cigs. Have you found it hard?

Hope the reunion went ok too. I've had two more friends just announce their baby news so feels like my watsapp groups are just constantly going off about pregnancy, baby news etc but one of the girls has been trying for two years and the other for a year and a half so I'm trying not to be selfish and feel sorry for myself as I'm over the moon for them both and it's also encouraging that it's finally happened for them.

Wanted to ask some advice.. we went to private gynaecologist and she didn't see need for dh to have tests as we did get pg before. I'm now thinking he should, if anything to rule out the possibility that he might have any problems. Should we go to the doctors for this? Not sure how to go about it xx

keepingfaithxx · 30/10/2016 20:54

Mimi thank you :) and heheh going to be on top of DTD this month even if it's CD6 ;) arghhhh dreaded TWW!! I hope it goes quickly for you :)
Chloe thank you too :)
I have found it so hard! But just keep looking at the bigger picture! The hardest part is work!
Hmmm what do you guys want? I'm sure they had a reason to say that but if it would put both your minds at rest you should push for it :)
Enjoying pumpkin carving and crappy to tonight with OH and feeling happy!!! Looking forward to fertile week next week Wink

keepingfaithxx · 30/10/2016 20:55

I meant crappy tv hehehe

Chloejames22 · 30/10/2016 23:15

We'd like to get some test done to see if it's anything to do with dh but can you just get these done at the doctors? X

Colabottles64 · 31/10/2016 07:54

Hubs got home late and I was already asleep and got up at 6:30 so we have yet to DTD this cycle. CD13 today so really need to get on tonight, hoping we aren't cutting it to fine. Arrr where does time go during the FW, when every bloomin hour drags in 2ww??

Rant over! Needed to get that out Smile

Mimilicious013 · 31/10/2016 09:22

Only 3dpo what a nightmare.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
Ohh cola l feel your frustration. Have had a couple of cycles like that too. Hope you manage to at least jump oh once.

Loving the attitude keeping hope you can keep it up Wink.l dtd cd 5,7,9,10,11,12,13,14 and don't even want dh touching me now his job is done haha.

Colabottles64 · 01/11/2016 01:13

faith how on earth did ye carve that, it's hilarious!!! Bravo Grin

Omg I'm SO cross with hubby, he got into bed, was "too tired" and now has been snoring loudly for last hour. I'm decamping to the spare room, none of the kicks I've deployed have worked. We are going out tomorrow night in London, he may bloody well take me out properly to make amends! Angry

Colabottles64 · 01/11/2016 07:47

Dammmmmmit. I'm now in that awkward situation of being really angry with my husband slap bang in the fw.... Does this happen to ye? I just get so annoyed. Doesn't he get it, this time is only once a month and he wants this baby but then he is too tired or whatever - and I am so super annoyed!! And things had been great between us DTD in and outside the fW up until that stupid bloomin stomach bug.

I opked today and I don't think I've hit lh surge yet but now I have all the rage & annoyance to deal with before I even want to go near him. It's just hurts when you want something so much and feel you're not giving it the best try.

Chloejames22 · 01/11/2016 09:25

Cola I've totally been in your situ and it's so so frustrating!! It took a few months for my dh to actually get it and a few very very heated rows!!! I would literally lie there fuming and then tear into him the next morning which made us both feel like absolute poo.

Do you think he does actually get it? Seems so obvious to us and I didn't get how he couldn't get it when i had explained jt so many times but he really didn't. Well, actually not sure he was really listening. Took a big chat on holiday and tears to finally get him on board and be just as proactive as me but you need him to be to help. Sometimes neither of you will want to dtd but you both need to get on with it. You never turn round after and think oh wish I didn't do that either lol it's just finding the energy sometimes isn't it. I'd have a really frank conversation with him about it. Being upright and frustrated won't help so you need to get it all out xx

Colabottles64 · 02/11/2016 00:09

Thanks Chloe. I am so crap telling people when my feelings are hurt, my natural tendency is bury head in sand and ignore it....I know you're right and need to have it out with him. I hate conflict and I get really panicky about it. Ah all this being a grown up!! I swear I feel like I've explained it twenty times but still this nonsense happens every few cycles. Must be time for "the birds and the bees and the limited fertile window" chat again Smile

Feeling lots less tense and more chilled after our night out. Xxx

Margo5 · 02/11/2016 08:05

Hi ladies - hope you're all having a good week?

My meet up with school friends on Saturday was lovely! I needn't have worried as no one asked me about babies except the one friend that knows we are TTC who I meet up with before meeting the others. In fact this was the first time I wished someone had asked as I thought it may have done me good to share more. The friend who knows was amazing though and at the end of the day said to me that she hoped the conversation hadn't been too child and baby focussed. She's also been through it TTC so understands, she was great at changing the subject on my behalf if needed too - it's so nice to have her on my side.

Currently 5dpo no signs as yet... be nice to get a twinge or some possible implantation bleeding to give me hope! Trying not to think about it too much, going away this weekend with DH and to a concert next week so trying to concentrate on that instead...

Sk1pper great news that all was well with your tests, though I understand you almost wanting them to find something so you have a reason, good but frustrating...

Faith congratulations on the giving up of smoking! That must be so hard to do especially after 10 years - well done you, such a positive step towards a BFP! LOVE your pumpkin carving - good skills! Bet that scared off a few trick or treaters? (Or enticed visitors of a whole other nature to your house!).

Mimi how are you doing my TTW buddy? Any symptoms yet?

Chloe It's worth a visit to the doctor if you are concerned about DH if only to put your mind at rest, other than that you just have to play the waiting game... it can be so boring!

Cola Glad you had an enjoyable night out. I really sympathise with you - it is so hard during FW sometimes as you are tired or not always both in the mood and do not want DTD to feel like a chore. All it takes one little swimmer to make a BFP though so just do what you can and try not to get upset with DH - however difficult it is not to! I had my DH saying this cycle that I only ever want sex in fertile week... we had a row about it and at one point I thought he was going to go on DTD strike! (Thankfully he didn't) It doesn't help that I love my bed and as soon as my head touches the pillow (unless we are in fertile week and more 'driven') I am out for the count so he has to act quickly! I will try to make more effort in non fertile times this month, but he has to as well... we have an amazing relationship but have never been a couple who have loads of sex (maybe once a week) so I did think that TTC would put a spark into our sex lives - hmmm!

xxx

Colabottles64 · 02/11/2016 13:31

The good news is we DTD last night so finally some hope in this cycle!! I wasn't going to OPKS but I have and I'm glad as no surge yet and I would have thought I had already ov'ed if I wasn't testing. My stomach bug probably delayed ov by a few days so we are still well in contention Star
Hubby was the one to get the party started, he's got the point so at least we are in contention.

margo glad weekend went well! sometimes just nice to hang out with friends. Good luck with the waiting xxx

IceAuntie · 02/11/2016 15:53

Hi all, sorry it's been so long, I had the AF from hell! She just wouldn't leave!!! Angry

Congrats Cola fingers crossed for this month.

Margo glad you had a good time and that you seem to have a really good friend by your side to help you and understand. Good luck for this go around.

Chloe+Margo totally been there too, I wonder if we've all had to get to the point of frantic tears/screams followed by frank conversation with our dh's to get them in our corner (though I hope no one else's happen while DTD Blush!).

As for me, went back to the doctors yesterday for follow up (no tissues required this timeGrin), another script for AD's, a look around at the plumbing with some samples taken and a pelvic exam. The Dr was super nice, she laid my mind at ease a bit more (she said everything looked normal), even if the pelvic exam has left me with some AF style cramps.

The best part was when she asked me if I'd looked up anything that caused heavy/long AF that caused trouble ttc, the look of shock on her face when I said "no, I've purposely not done that because I know I'd just scare myself silly" was hilariousGrin! I suppose she is used to getting google qualified self diagnosis from her patients, but I just found it so funny(though that could be the AD's working their will againHalo)!

She is going to consult with another colleague with more experience in women's health about whether blood test are a good idea or if I should be referred straight to a gynaecological unit at the local hospital and let me know next week (that is if nothing shows up in the tests).
I'm only slightly worriedSmile.

Good Luck to everyone. XxX

Mimilicious013 · 02/11/2016 15:54

Yay cola glad you got some and you still have a chance Star

Tww dragging margo wishI had something to do to take my mind of all the symptoms l am feeling (in my head I'm sure).

Lovely pumpkin keeping.Fw for you, good luck.

Where is everyone else in their cycle?

Colabottles64 · 03/11/2016 07:07

Would you say this OPK is positive? It's quite dark.

10+ months TTC
Margo5 · 03/11/2016 07:53

Cola In my experience I usually get one like that, then the next morning it is even darker so you are on the cusp! I always keep mine so I can compare...
Get busy Wink

Colabottles64 · 03/11/2016 10:42

Ticked the box this morning Wink

More to follow over next few days ha!

Colabottles64 · 03/11/2016 17:35

Did OPK again this evening and got super dark line, definitely caught the surge this time so yay!!

How are you doing ladies? Xx

sk1pper · 03/11/2016 21:51

Hey girls, how's everyone doing?

Grats on your opk cola!

AF is over for me too ice - glad your pelvic exam went well.

I did my first ever session of yoga today, I don't really know if it will help TTC but it was very relaxing and I enjoyed it - so will go again.

I've done two blood tests now, waiting for my third on cd20 and my swabs with the nurse. Already pre booked our follow up appointment with my GP for all the results - the surgery is notoriously busy so have booked it in now so I don't have to wait once everything is done.

Colabottles64 · 04/11/2016 13:45

Good luck with the tests Iceauntie and skipper.

So my hubby wants to take up yoga - that surprised me!! I'll let ye know if that works!!!

We managed to DTD this morning so thinking I'm ovulating today, probably tonight and morning should have this cycle covered and we can get back to just DTD for fun! I naievely thought it would be more special to DTD when trying but it's just pressure.

Where are we at in the 2ww to all those past ovulation? Xxx
