Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

All good here. I'm 10+2 according to today so I'm a little further on than expected and have my original due date of 13th may. First scan put my date at 17th may but the woman did say that it's very easy to be wrong when you're as little as 7 weeks so I wasn't entirely sure what my exact date was!

Yep, I will. The hospital I'm at doesn't tell you the gender so I'll be booking private for that at 18 weeks...again, it's pretty cheap so it's not a problem (plus an extra chance to see the baby again!)

I got my BFP at the weekend feeling quite run down and full of cold but definitely excited/ anxious about the next few weeks. Can't wait till scan time.

I'm 13 weeks today. Got my scan booked finally. It's this Wednesday. I had to phone the hospital 4 times to get it booked in. But all booked now.

I'm ok.. I'm feeling quite anxious because my combined results came back with a 1 in 800 chance of down syndrome which apparantly is low risk... but when my first pregnancy 2 years ago was 1 in 25,000.... it seems very high risk to me! !

Glad you've got your nhs scan finally by the way!

Could it just be because you're a little older now than you were last time?
I think high risk is anything under 1 in 250.

I seem to recall DS was 1 in 2500

I'm only 28 so I wouldn't have thought that would affect it too much.

I'm going to talk to my midwife about it because I don't really understand how there can be so much of a jump but I'm trying to be positive that everything looked good on the scan and I have something like a 99.8% chance that everything is just fine. I'm just such a worrier, pregnancy turns me into a crazy person. It's just one worry after another haha

Pregnancy turns us all into the biggest worriers! Doesn't get much better when they arrive either!!

Have a word with your midwife, I'm sure she'll put your mind at rest. Provided she's nicer than mine of course!!

I had a misscarriage in September and have started ttc again I had a strong feeling I was pregnant again but then started my period but it was irregular and wasn't sure what to expect so spoke to my doctor and had my blood drawn as my period only lasted 3 days and ranged from bright red blood to pinky brown to spotting. 7 days later I received my blood result and got a hcg level of 5 so confused then 3 days after I've started spotting again. Is it possible that I've implanted twice did a hpt test and got a bfn. Is it too early to pick up I have another blood draw on 31st October so nervous and panicking now this is my second time for my first baby.I have had several symptoms e.g headaches cramps nausea aches. Please Help

Oh loz I am such a worrier too. I'm sure all is fine but that would make me anxious. Speak to midwife and take it from there! I'm just over 11 weeks- 12 week scan is next wed so I'm expecting to be 12 and a half weeks by then. We have told quite a few people since seeing the baby last Monday so we won't really be doing the "big announcement" this time!
melba I'm afraid none of us can really answer that- you'll need to speak with gp and see what they say. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage...that's rubbish. Did you get a scan after it to confirm all the pregnancy had gone? It could be that you didn't fully miscarry and there is some tissue left which would result in hcg levels and bleeding? I don't really know how else to describe that, sorry if I sound a bit cold!

Oh loz I totally understand. I'm usually pretty chilled but when it comes to pregnant, I'm a major worrier! I'm sure everything will be fine but chat to your mw & hopefully she can put your mind at rest

I'm 5+1 today & I think the nausea has started. Thankfully it's not been all day but I felt rough this morning!

Hello. Am 10 or 11 dpo today and tested this evening. Tell me I'm not imagining this line?! Remaining cautious as it's v early but hard not to get excited at the same time!
