Ttc number 2!

Hello! Anyone thinking of ttc number 2? I have a 6 month old baby and don't want a big age gap between babies. AF has been a bit erratic over the past few months but DH and I have decided to make next month the first month of ttc. Anyone else sort of in the same boat?

purple I booked my scan around six weeks for when I would be 8 weeks. Didn't want to book too far in advance just in case! I'm wanting to book another one now as I can't wait another 2 and a half weeks for the nhs one!

Off for my private scan at 9am.

I'll let you all know how it goes. Fingers crossed!

Sonnet18 · 15/10/2016 08:31

Good luck tuna!

tuna is this your second private scan? I want to book another one as my nhs one is still over two weeks away and I don't think I can wait!

Sonnet - yes it's my second.

I'm only doing it because the hospital have lost all my paperwork and haven't booked me in for my scan yet. I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and DH leaves for a business trip on another continent for two weeks on Tuesday. So he won't be able to come with me to my NHS scan Sad

Sonnet18 · 15/10/2016 09:04

Oh no! That's a shame about DH. Wow, well done nhs. That's awful. Hope they still get you a scan as soon as possible!

All looks good! I'm convinced it's a boy. Jumping around like a mad thing. She said that she can't say for certain as she's not NHS, but she said Nuchal translucency looks good.

Very relieved.

Ah lovely! What's your due date? After seeing yours I've convinced myself to go for another!

OP posts:
wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 15/10/2016 12:12

Due date is 30th April. Spot on as according my LMP I'm 11 weeks and 6 days. And baby was measuring exactly the same today.

Smile

Brill scan pic Tuna! So happy for you Grin

Thanks sonnet. I think I'll do the same & wait another couple of weeks before booking

Sonnet18 · 15/10/2016 12:54

Ive just booked another scan for Monday! DH couldn't come to the first one so I'm justifying it by saying I'm booking it for him to see the baby! They're only £39 where I am so it's not too expensive.
Nearly out of the first trimester tuna! When are you planning to make it public knowledge?

loztredders · 16/10/2016 08:14

Aw how lovely Tuna! Glad everything went well!!

wherethefuckisthefuckingtuna · 16/10/2016 09:15

Ooh sonnet enjoy the second scan :) that's almost half the price of round here! I'm in the South East, everything is expensive here.

I think we're going to go 'Facebook public' today. Eek! Told most of our close friends yesterday. So the cats out of the bag really :)

I do like this bit. Being able to tell people. I hate keeping it from everyone. I always think I'm going to slip up!

Sonnet18 · 16/10/2016 10:13

Haha, the joys of being in Scotland- cheaper things!
Aw, enjoy going public! It's fun, I enjoyed that part. We kept off Facebook until 20 weeks last time as I was super paranoid about things. Unsure how we will announce it this time round- got a few weeks to announce it yet.
Hope everyone stays on this thread throughout the pregnancies- want to hear how you all get on!

PurpleHaze1 · 16/10/2016 15:56

Exciting that you're announcing now Tuna! Grin

Sonnet I'm in Scotland too although the cheapest I can find near me for an early scan is £75 Hmm

Sonnet18 · 16/10/2016 16:18

Oh really? Are you near Glasgow? That's where I went for mine. It's city centre so pretty easy to get to (unless you're no where near Glasgow of course!)

Hi ladies! I'd like to join!

I'm 29 and have a DS who will turn 1 in a few weeks. DH and I have decided to start trying for number 2 this month and I'm currently 1DPO.

Congratulations to all of those who have their BFPs so far!

PurpleHaze1 · 16/10/2016 22:22

Hi jani! Smile

I'm in the central belt so Glasgow city centre is easily doable Sonnet. I'll have a look online...

Sonnet18 · 17/10/2016 05:54

It's called babyscanning and its Ingram street Glasgow. Very easy to find- right on the end of Ingram street at Royal exchange square. I'm central belt too! Small world!

OP posts:
PurpleHaze1 · 17/10/2016 07:02

Found it! Thanks so much sonnet Smile

Ha! Yes, small world indeed!

Sonnet18 · 17/10/2016 07:32

No probs! I'm going there today actually as I couldn't wait another two weeks for nhs one! And for £39 it would be rude not to really!

OP posts:
PurpleHaze1 · 17/10/2016 08:23

Yes £39 is a bargain! Hope it goes well. Will be exciting to see your wee squish again Smile

loztredders · 17/10/2016 09:40

Ooh how exciting sonnet. Enjoy your scan today. Can't wait to see pics!!

loztredders · 17/10/2016 09:42
