Thank you for welcoming me sorry for your losses too. Fingers crossed for some good news for you all soon.

Dreams. I understand the weird pg dreams but I wonder whether they are all part of the healing process. Your brain is working in the background to help come to terms with stuff?

Mrsunsure - what a lovely dream. let's hope it's a good omen Smile

HI Nails, Bertie and Foz. So sorry you are all here.

I have tested negative this morning. So back in the game for us and I can phone the Dr in the morning and get my referral underway.

That sounds like a lovely dream Mrs.

Well done MrKate*. I hope this is your month.

Hello everyone, had a busy day yesterday. Was up early and went to nandos for lunch followed by a little window shopping, then visiting family and then mil in Hosp. Got home and started watching line of duty, until quite late and totally overate so was feeling uncomfortable! Woke up late and just had a lazy day in bed really. Going to potter around a little now before getting ready for work tomorrow. Feeling all achey and exhausted and in need of a good stretch so will try a yoga DVD I think.

Lots of chat about vivid dreams! I had them when I first found out I was preg but nothing since really.

Ah, sorry Brenna. That sucks.

I suppose I'm on a 'trying again thread' but actually I'm not sure if I can try again atcleast not yet. If not physically then my intention is certainly there Grin

I've been bleeding since MC six weeks ago. Had a scan on wednesday and found an ovarian cyst and thick entometrial lining. I honestly don't know what that means but I do know cycle is not happening and so I guess I can't conceive.

I don't really know what I hope to achieve by writing that! We thought we'd not use any contraception and see what happens. My expectations are low though.

It's good to hear so many positive experiences of the medical side of things - referals goi g quickly and smoothly. It's encouraging!

Evening everyone...
brenna I'm sorry about the bfn... I hope the doctors get the ball rolling quickly for you.

Fozboz 6 weeks of bleeding does not sound good, I hope it stops soon and I hope the doctors can give you more info as to what's going on, that must be so difficult.

Cd10 for me... Started dtd last night and aiming for every other day... First ovulation test today was negative, I'm using the clear blue digitals. Does anyone else use them? If so do you do one a day or two?

I've been feeling really rough all afternoon and actually been in bed... Feel like I've wasted the sun! Thank goodness we still have tomorrow!

Evening,

JPEG - I only use one of the clear blue digital tests a day, mainly because they are so expensive but I found the cheap ones impossible to read. I start at cd10 but I get usually get a positive on cd12 so I don't keep on using them after that. It seems pretty consistent after a few months so I don't think I'll use them once I run out ( obviously hoping I might even get pregnant this month) I'm hoping that taking my temperature this month will confirm that I am ovulating.
Time for a bath before the first of the 'early nights' this week. Good work Kate keeping it up.
Really sorry Brenna that you have had the worst confirmed. I really hope things work out for you.

Brenna I am so sorry to read your news. How are you? It's great you have a referral lined up already and your doctor is so on it. The NHS really is a miracle! I hope you get answers v quickly. Will you be referred to the same hospital you work at? Fingers crossed for you.

Fozboz 6 weeks is a long time. Do they think it is related to the cyst? Hope you are OK.

I am on CD15 and my CM this morning has turned from EWCM to creamy & thick which I think (I hope) means I have ovulated. My poor knackered boyfriend woke up this morning looking petrified there might be more sex on the horizon! The look on his face when I said I think I have ovulated was a picture! Bless him. He put in a good innings. And now we wait....13 days.

Today has been lovely. Had a bike ride to the pub and then had lunch with my sisters in laws, and then rode back. I had a thumble of wine at lunch watered down with soda so I could join in and not draw attention to myself. Normally during the 2WW I would drink a few glasses of wine (last time stupidly I even got tipsy) but this time, I am trying to be as good as possible. No booze from now, only one small coffee a day, lots of veg and fruit, protein, sleep, distractions to keep calm, no obsessing etc.

SO ladies if any of you notice me symptom spotting, tell me to stop, please! I have to do this cycle differently. I have to give my body the best chance possible... Fingers crossed.

Hi Mrsunsure.... yes it does sometimes! My boyfriend often tries to poke it down if he can see it coming out!! On Wednesday he said there was a little swimming pool of sperm which he tried to push down!! VERY attractive.

But I don't think it matters really, unless your DH has missed entirely which is unlikely. There are millions of sperms in semen so as long as he ejaculates inside you, then I think you are safe.

And my god, there is no such thing as TMI on here!!

Thanks all - I'm ok. I now need a GP appointment to interpret the scan (the sonographer didn't know for sure and didn't want to give inaccurate info) I guess it'll be a gynae referal. Can't get GP appointmemt till mid May. I could try for an urgent but tbh I wonder whether time might be a good thing in this case. I'm happy to wait the two weeks (I know a different type off ttw than I would like Wink

Haha - laughed at 'poor knackered boyfriend' good luck with the ttw kate!

Mrsunsure - from what I've read it doesn't matter so much. Sperm are very effective at swimming upstream so the legs in the air thing isn't essential. Having said that if I can, I'll lie still for a while after dtd, but don't worry if I don't have the time. A quickie with spillage is better than nothing I'd say!

Hi Kate. Yes, it is the same hospital, so I just need to nip over the concourse. Which is nice and handy. Your day sounds lovely.

It won't matter if you leak some as long as some stays in.

Hi,
Not sure where to post so here goes - I had a late miscarriage just over 3 weeks ago. I bled for about 12 days. Yesterday (23 days after mc) I had some light bleeding onto a liner but nothing when I wipe. This morning I woke to some period pain but still nothing. I am thinking it's still quite early for my period but who knows.
Can anyone give advice?

Hi Fairy and sorry for your loss. When I had my MC I had a break in my bleeding and then it started again, although it was a few days not 11. Have you started TTC again? Could it be implantation?

Brenna24 · 02/05/2016 10:50

Hi. I am so sorry for your loss. I bled during ovulation the first cycle after my miscarriage. So it could be that, or it could be a fairly early period.

HopefulKate1980 · 02/05/2016 11:27

Hi Fairy

I am sorry for your loss. Did you have surgery or was it a natural MC? It could just be your uterus contracting back to size, and as it does that, it expels any leftover blood? When is your next appointment at the GP or hospital? You could ask for a scan maybe to see what is happening?

My biggest lesson from both my miscarriages is that they are considerably less emotionally painful and distressing if you are given information and feel in control of the process. It was only when I saw my consultant and had a scan, two long months after my surgery for my second MC, that I started to heal emotionally - as finally someone was able to explain what was happening and why.

Before then I was given conflicting advice and batted away by the EPU which left me confused and fearing for the future. I am not blaming then at all, as I know they are v busy and under-staffed, but being given information and then being able to make decisions based on that information has proven invaluable for me.... So what I am saying is, push for a scan or an appointment if you don't have one already as that may help the physical and emotional side.

Wishing you lots of luck.

Some will leak but plenty will stay in. A penis goes quite a few inches inside and ejaculation fires semen a good couple of inches beyond that so plenty is being fired in the right direction. During your fertile time, even more will stay in as that is part of EWCM's job, it traps it and helps to protect the sperm and your cervix will be open at that time so it goes to the right place. Even if you feel like you're leaking a lot, plenty will still be in there Grin
I don't do the standing on the shoulders thing, DP will think I've gone mad. I stay still for a couple of minutes (although I've only ever managed to conceive once in my life so perhaps that's not the best tactic!)

I'm going for everyday for the next few cycles, when it's possible but the two times I conceived we did it every other day, just three times. So who knows?!

I've got a question! Should I avoid hot chocolate as a caffeine source? I drink lots of the highlights stuff.

Report
BertieBotts · 02/05/2016 16:05

Hopeful - yes! I felt in control and informed with my mc and although it was upsetting I don't feel traumatised by it. Sorry to everyone who's had bad experience with HCPs :( Flowers

I would not worry about hot chocolate. I think chocolate only has small amounts anyway and it's only a small amount of chocolate in HC as well.

Apparently DTD every day is okay unless you've been told your partner has low sperm count, then it's worth waiting for them to build up.
