I'm not holding my breath. 12 dpo and not a hint of a squint of a line this morning despite lots of symptoms.

I thought you used afternoon wees for opks mummy because the hormone it detects builds through the day. Does CB work differently from other opks?

CarrotV some people dont gt theirs til 15DPO, you're nt out til AF shows.

Yes CB digitals you use with FMU, different to normal opks - though I may do a normal one this afternoon as well as my digital one just incase the digital isn't accurate.

Fx for you carrot, as mummy says, you're not out til AF gets you!

That's what I am telling myself too, 10dpo, very sore boobs for days now (and one now bigger than the other, great) but no hint of a line this morning. I know it's early but I thought maybe the 10mlu strips might pick something up. I always used to have 10 day LP do not totally unreasonable to test today but I'm still in the wtf cycle do who knows? Please don't be cross with me paws and mummy, I know you told me last week I should wit a few more days but I just couldn't help myself this morning...

Oh Paws you poor thing, I hope DH has stepped up. But as I said before my friend had so much bleeding they were sure it must be a mc but it wasn't. Can't you beg for HCG bloods? So that you know either way. I know it must be terribly hard for you. Stay strong and look after yourself xxx

He is being amazing mummy, thank you...what could bloods tell me at 4.5 weeks? If it were just blood then I may feel a little better, but it has quite large clots in, about the size of penny this morning! I'm not too sure what bloods could tell me?

Report
Allmychildrenhavepaws · 08/07/2015 11:16

I might ask my friend to take me xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 08/07/2015 11:21

Actually I've got some more 10mlu strips in the post, should get here tomorrow...will test with them I guess...do you think they would come up negative this quick if it is an early mc? X

Report
CarrotVan · 08/07/2015 12:11

paws you get blood taken every other day for a week to see if hcg is rising as it should.

Report
Mummyofonesofar · 08/07/2015 12:27

As Carrot says Paws ask your epu to take your bloods to see if the hormones of pregnancy are doubling (which would show an ongoing pregnancy) far better than waiting a week for a scan! Just two blood results would let you know if it is indeed a mc, not just a positive/negative blood test for pregnancy. And no I don't think you would get a negative just yet. How many DPO are you?

So sorry paws what a horrible thing to go through Flowers

Report
Tftpoo · 08/07/2015 12:46

Thinking of you paws, hugs to you. It sounds like asking the EPU to do your bloods would be sensible so you know where you are and don't have to suffer the awful wait for the scan or see positive pg tests if you are miscarrying.

I also know someone who had quite a bit of bleeding (red blood and cramps) at this stage of early pregnancy and went on to have a healthy baby. She was told she was probably miscarrying but all was ok. In fact it was her experience that made me think that a tiny bit of pink spotting and no pain meant I was probably going to be ok but it was in fact a mmc. Mother natute is a bitch sometimes.

Thank you all for your kind messages and stories of friends who have had similar and been ok... I am going to hospital later today to get bloods done as suggested. I'm not too hopeful of outcome, but I spose you never know. Dh suggested that perhaps the small clots are remnants of mmc...? But I had a ERPC and a wtf cycle with full AF, so find it hard to believe that it's retained products finally coming out. I'll keep you posted x

Mummyofonesofar · 08/07/2015 13:21

Paws I think with your ERPC everything will be gone. Glad you're getting bloods done - they won't be able to tell you anything today but will do in 48 hours when you can get them done again. Thinking of you x

Thanks mummy...im guessing ill get a pelvic exam too (joy)! At least they can tell me if my cervix is open (mc in progress) or closed (threatened mc). So I guess ill get some news today, and definitive news about hcg levels on Friday x

Report
CarrotVan · 08/07/2015 14:51

paws they will be able to tell you whether the hcg is at a reasonable level for how far along you are

Report
Mummyofonesofar · 08/07/2015 15:09

Paws I would ask to not have a pelvic exam - I know some Drs like to do it but I feel that all the pulling about down there could cause one if it is not already happening.

Report
Allmychildrenhavepaws · 08/07/2015 16:08

Thanks carrot & mummy... Perhaps if they ask me for one I will politely refuse. I had one last time and that ended in mmc so....? Yes today they can at least tell me if levels are normal...Friday they can tell me if they're going up or down x
