Welcome to the newbies, although sorry to see you here in the first place.

drifting and mega- I'm one of the few in the tww window on here. Not sure if I've ov'd since mc in Feb but this is the most positive I have been so at least there is a chance this month. Next week is going to be big for quite a few of us! AF due next Fri for me so I'll ait til Sat t poas if nothing.

Hello everyone else. Such a lovely day, which has lifted my spirits no end and taken my mind off all of this!!!

ibeka · 14/05/2015 21:53

Hi daisy, drifting ninja and megarobot. Sorry you find youse lives here. It a wonderfully supportive place though so you've found the right spot to come to Smile. ninja where do I know you from....? Were you in TTC buses before?

mega have you had your BFN post-MC yet? I don't want to be really doomy but I had positive OPKs that turned out to be them reacting to left over pregnancy hormones....

drifting I had the same with DP. He just thought it was a small foetus (we had a really shitty nasty sonogrpaher who tried to confuse us) and I had to almost argue with him to convince him the size she said meant it was dead. He was shocked.

fizzie glad you are doing well Smile

I was told to wait a cycle (I had erpc after discovering a MMC at 8 weeks, baby stopped at 6, surgery at 10) but only for dating.. I also checked with miscarriage association who said no increased risk. I think the three months is old advice...?

I am 32. IF this TWW had a positive ending, the edd will be my 33rd birthday...

redredwine4 · 14/05/2015 21:53

I'm 35 btw. I got pg two weeks before my 35th bday but then mc. When I'm being crazy I read all about the doom of ttc after 35 as if your fertility falls off a cliff on your 35th bday, but I am sure that is not the case at all. Plenty of people have healthy pregnancies in their late 30s and beyond.

ibeka · 14/05/2015 21:54

Lovely day?? Where are you red? It's pissed down all day here!

megarobotdiscoparty · 14/05/2015 22:23

ibeka no...hadn't poas as think it will wreck my head! That's good advice and you're probably right, my body is useless at ovulating so it's no doom here. Looking at it is bonus jiggy Grin Bring on AF....! 2 more bops on the clomid and that's us all out for a DC2...scary but in some ways will be good to get our heads around it all. We are incredibly lucky to have DS who we never thought we'd get!

vicgreen100 · 14/05/2015 22:40

Hi ladies

Don't post much so am new to all the terms. I am 42 and had mc at 8 weeks about 8 weeks ago. We are trying again and I have an inkling I may have conceived this month. Trying to distract myself. I have a 6year old DD and have waited a while to extend our family for reasons against my wishes. One thing that has kept me going is the saying 'if you throw enough mud at something eventually some of it sticks. And remember in the eponymous words of Simon Cowell 'age is just a number' Smile

DisneyMillie · 15/05/2015 07:21

Welcome vic - really hope you're right and you get a lovely bfp x. That's a really good attitude - I'll try to remember that!

Hope everyone else is good this morning.

Age wise I keep telling myself everyone I know had their first child around 30 and then 2nd a few years later and that's totally normal and there can't really be much difference between having a baby at 33 and 35?! Just really wish I'd have met lovely OH earlier - had dd5 with ex husband and there was no way I was having more with him (we split when she was 2 and I met OH about 2 years ago)

I'm convinced time stands still in the 2ww - I'm sure it's been at least a week - but no, I'm only 2dpo (assuming positive opk on tues means I ov'd weds)

daisyspice · 15/05/2015 07:29

Morning everyone Smile

So cd23 and starting to get some symptoms mainly nausea exactly what happened last time trying not to get my hopes up coz I have a feeling I'm wishing to be pg so I'm imagining things may need a talking too Wink

Hope everyone else is ok! Plus it's Friday!!!!Smile

driftingclouds · 15/05/2015 07:47

Happy Friday everyone!

It's sunny here so far today which is a big improvement on yesterday!

ibeka I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the sonographer. Im sure that made a horrible time even worse. It can make such a massive difference how we are treated at the time of a MC I think. I was lucky the staff in my EPU were lovely-as I left after the final scan, the sister took my arm and told me to be kind to myself. Just those words have been a real comfort.

Hi vic, sorry you find yourself here too. I hope you are doing ok.

disney I completely agree about the 2ww! It goes soooooo slowly. I'm only 6dpo am trying hard not to symptom spot but it's impossible. I'm really emotional-cried at a tv programme last night which is most unlike me. Is this a symptom??! More likely due to me being under the weather and shattered from work!

Hope everyone has a great day whatever you are up to-it's almost the weekend!

Adventuregame · 15/05/2015 08:54

New thread is getting busy already !! So as some of you may have read earlier I had first AF after erpc this week so I guess we are officially ttc now. I'm scared !! It's probably not the best thread to admit this on but before the mc I was in a real panic about having a baby in the first place. We had decided not to 'try' but not to 'be careful' either - a bit of a what will be will be approach. I'm 37 and when I got BFP I went into panic of 'I like my life as it is' - I don't like change !! etc etc. Then I had just got my head round it and started to be excited when the mc happened and was devastated and we both said to each other how upset we were and how all we wanted was to be pg again. Now it's come round to actually conciously ttc I'm in a bit of a panic again. Also I am a natural worrier at the best of times so imagine I'll be off the scale during next pg until at least 30 weeks !!

Also as some of you know my Dad is in hospital and I am feeling consumed by a sense of waiting for something else to go wrong and my head is a mess ! BUT.......I only have a 42 day cycle and DP is sometimes out of the country so that reduces our timimg chances anyway so if we wait I'll never 'be ready' so should just go for it ?

Sorry for the long rant early in the morning - I had intended just to mark my place on the new thread !!

Adventuregame · 15/05/2015 09:02

Mega love your excitement at seeing that Lilli got a BFP !! It's nice when you see people from the mc thread isn't it !!

Adventuregame · 15/05/2015 09:04

Marys I could technically be older than you !! I'll be 38 in July.....when's yours ! The posh private consultant that saw me for ERPC (still got a big dent in the cheque book but totally worth it) was based in Chelsea and said I'm the average age for a 'Chelsea Mum' ! Don't mind if I do !! Ha haha

daisyspice · 15/05/2015 10:58

Adventure I also had the oh my god my life is never gonna be the same again feeling, correct me if I'm wrong but it's a massive thing so it's natural to be a little terrified Smile

Adventuregame · 15/05/2015 11:40

Thanks Daisy

CarrotPuff · 15/05/2015 11:50

Hi newbies, welcome! Sorry for your losses Flowers

I wonder too Red where you are, it was pissing down all day here too.

Nothing to report. Will try for EOD this month so some action is due tonight. I feel like I can't be bothered at the moment though Confused

DisneyMillie · 15/05/2015 12:37

I totally understand the feelings of fear adventure we definitely hugely want a baby but I still had a panic when I got my bfp last time. I think it's totally normal.

redredwine4 · 15/05/2015 12:38

Up in sunny Scotland! It never rains here...

megarobotdiscoparty · 15/05/2015 12:43

adventure DH and I were/are bursting desperate to have a 2nd baby and I was amazed to find I had a few really dark "oh sh*t" days when we first found out I was pg...had nothing like it with DS but I think that's because we'd been trying so long for him. It's normal I think! Although I've beaten myself up about it since, after the MC, but that's ridiculous as you can't help how you feel. Plus think of all those nutso hormones flying round your head making all the anxiety worse too. And now I am more sure than ever that this is what we want, so that's a weird little silver lining.

Beautiful day here too. Happy nearly weekend all!

DisneyMillie · 15/05/2015 12:48

Hmm - I thought I was doing ok but a girl just brought her baby into work and I've gone out and cried Sad. Can't count down the months to the next bfp quick enough (fingers crossed)

Adventuregame · 15/05/2015 12:51

Thanks Disney and mega - I don't feel so unworthy of being on the thread now !!

Mamama31 · 15/05/2015 12:58

We had sunshine in ireland yesterday too, was a lovely day! Not so much today though :(

Good luck to all the ladies on the 2ww...hoping to see all of your bfp's next week! I can only imagine the days are dragging for you all, seems like such a long time since I last had a 2ww!

I am 33, seems we are all in our 30's is that right? Age is just a number indeed. Our desire for our babies will overcome any stats relating to age!

megarobotdiscoparty · 15/05/2015 13:00

Oh disney Sad That's so hard! We had a baby in work this week and I was running round the building trying to avoid it. Hope you feel better for a little cry and your day improves.

Help...just been to the loo and I'm spotting. I stopped bleeding after MC a week ago - could AF be here already? I don't feel very AF-y at all. Guess this is why they call it the WTF cycle! Any advice gratefully received!

CarrotPuff · 15/05/2015 14:58

Disney Flowers

I'm not 30 yet. I was hoping I will have had my 2nd by my 30th but I think I'll feel lucky if I'm pg by then at all (it's in December)...

MarysPrayer · 15/05/2015 15:35

Yes, Adventure you're a few months older than me. In fact I would be a whole school year younger than you! Wink Like you though, I'll now be at least 38 when dc is born.
Carrot you are wee young'n Envy

Sorry you were babybombed Disney. I went to the park with dd this morning and it seemed like all the other mums either had babies or bumps. I would have been 12 weeks today too. Sad

Welcome vic, and hi to everyone else. I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine.

Mamama31 · 15/05/2015 16:39

Disney sorry you had to experience the baby in work situation...I dread stuff like that! Hope you are feeling better.

Mega who knows what's going on in the Wtf cycle! If it is af at least you can start quickly with a fresh new cycle! Or maybe it's just a bit of spotting....or ovulation spotting? any pains? I'm just guessing really!
