'TTC after a miscarriage - new thread'

Well tried to add my bit to old thread and we have reached 1000 posts again!!
Chocolatepeanut, am so sorry for what you are going through, although you sound as if you are handling it well so far. Hope things aren't too bad for you in the coming days.
Rubles, sorry if AF does arrive, bloody bitch! My blood tests will be next week. DP sperm test threw up 'abnormal sperm' and he needs to go and discuss with the GP later this week although she did say it wasn't too much to worry about. Been meaning to start a new thread on this but haven't got around to it.
I'm looking for a yoga class to try and help me relax! Do think this whole TTC is stressing me out so much, I'm so conscious of age gaps, both our ages working against us, even worrying about if we do conceive in next couple of months as worked out it would be a July or August baby (my oldest is July born and is struggling bit with school etc). Part of me thinks it may do us all some good if I just stop ttc for a couple of months, then the other half panics about an even bigger gap, etc!!
How on earth do you all manage to relax about all this stuff??

Good luck tomorrow Lissie. Let us know how it goes x

Catbabymummy · 30/01/2007 08:24

Lissie - what time's your scan, mine's at 9.30. I'll be thinking of you, hoping you get some good news. Just hang in there, hun.

lissielou · 30/01/2007 08:39

2.15. good luck sweetie. let us know asap x

bleeding has stopped again and got another bfp. so even if it is bad news the mw can see that i was pg again.

im really really scared now. didnt sleep a wink last night.

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 09:26

Best of luck lissielou, I'll be thinking of you...

Uki · 30/01/2007 09:53

Lissie-good luck today fingers and toes crossed for you.

Cat-best of luck too. Would be great to get double good news on here.
I always refuse v/ultrasounds, the only time i had one, i ended up with a laproscopy because sonographer thought my ovary was an eptopic pg!!! they normally can work without one, my advice is if they do see pg and then ask for vaginal one for better look, refuse and go back in two weeks. I guess for me I don't want the extra risk of m/c

Not stopped hoping-not sure what to say, i hope it feels better to get it off your chest. It is different for men isn't it, they can seem to dis-attach from it all, wish we could sometimes too

lissielou · 30/01/2007 10:01

hope cats ok

lissielou · 30/01/2007 10:51

fuck! bleedings started again!

why is this happening to me??

duchesse · 30/01/2007 11:35

Oh Lissie- I hope you find out everything you need to know later.

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 13:06

I know lissielou - Its just the worst feeling..Hopefully you can get some answers from the scan. When I had bleeding there were times on the scan they could clearly see what was going on, but there were other times that they could not see anything, as sometimes it's in the blood vessels etc.. But as you are quite early on, they should be able to see something if heavy bleeding. Are you getting pain?

lissielou · 30/01/2007 13:08

no, havent had any pain, and bleeding is stop start, its rust coloured atm

Mumpbump · 30/01/2007 15:08

Hoping for some good news for lissie...

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 15:27

It's good not having pain...Every time I bleed, I never had any pain at the time of bleeding, just afterwards... I think that is a good sign.

Catbabymummy · 30/01/2007 16:09

Hello!

Had my scan, happily due to nearly exploding bladder the sonographer as able to scan through my tummy. My uterus is now back to normal, and got a bfn, which means I'm completely clear of the m/c and can start trying again. Dh did try to jump my bones when we got back from the hospital, but I told him I had to get to work, I expect him to be upstairs, nekkid on the bed when I get home...
I feel sad still, but in a way relieved it's finally over. I'm trying very hard to concentrate on the future and our next attempt. I took the opportunity of asking about the policy for pg after m/c, they said that I should book in with the midwide asap, and although strictly they don't do reassurance scans, they will try to get me in early if I tell the mw that i had a m/c and I'm very worried. Plus I'll wave that article at them!

No news from Lissie, I really hope she's okay, I was thinking about her and hoping for good news. She is just so stressed, poor thing! I hope her dh is getting in the industrial size packs of cotton wool to wrap her in, she needs it!

rahrah1 · 30/01/2007 16:24

She has had her scan and has started a thread on it. They have found the lining, but it is too early to detect the heartbeat, so she needs to go back.

Catbabymummy · 30/01/2007 16:27

Yes I've just seen it thanks. Jury's still out!

zimbojules · 30/01/2007 21:38

hi all - have been busy at work, and tired and nauseous so haven't posted for a few days.

notstoppedhoping - any news?

fettle and uki how are you doing?

I have another scan tomorrow (9w+4). My husband is away for work and I'm dreading it. I've been getting bad back pains. Both my other m/c were "missed" so I don't bleed or anything, I just find out at scan time...

I've been lurking round the hut of doom as I keep thinking that that's where I should be...

Uki · 30/01/2007 21:45

Hi Cat
sorry it's probably not the news you wanted, but is good news your body is back to normal and you have a fresh start now.
I'm sure you'll be pg soon, with dh like that.
I think mine is secretly missing ttc, as we have been both to scared to bd since. Am I not the most paranoid women you've ever metthey tried to give me a v ultrasound the other day because of reverted utreus, and i didn't say it but was thinking -if i haven't had sex since pg. i'm not having that.

plummymummy · 30/01/2007 21:56

Cat, good news that you can start trying again. Hopd dh still up for it when you are! Lissie, you must be so anxious to know what's happening. Will check out your thread. Hi to everyone elso. Zimbo, hope your backache is inconsequential and that everything is fine with the pg. Don't visit the hut of doom yet, try to stay positive xx

fettle · 30/01/2007 22:07

Zimbojules - I'm sure everything will be ok at the scan. It is horribly hard this TTC and being pg after mc isn't it? I'm only just 5 weeks and each day is dragging. I wish I could sit back and enjoy being pg, but I just worry about every niggle and feeling of fluid down there. So far seems to just be excess of CM, which I'm hoping is normal. Keep positive - shame DH can't be with you, but we'll be with you in thoughts. What time is your scan?

Lissie - not sure whether to say congratulations or what. How frustrating this whole situation must be for you? I hope you get some positive resolution soon. Take care

I hope everyone else is doing ok?
x

Catbabymummy · 31/01/2007 06:50

Uki - don't blame you for not wanting v/ultrasound, it is so uncomfortable... glad to miss it this time.

Zimbo - good luck for your scan later, hope it's all okay.

Plummy - thanks, he was

lissielou · 31/01/2007 06:53

cat, torn between being happy for you and sad, good luck sweetie.

Catbabymummy · 31/01/2007 06:56

Aww thanks. How are you this morning?

lissielou · 31/01/2007 07:01

i really dont know, got another bfp this morning, but still bleeding. its old blood, but its still blood iykwim!

Catbabymummy · 31/01/2007 07:12

So still none the wiser, I hope that it does get resolved soon and that there is a little bean there hanging on, determined it is going to make it out into the big wide world!

lissielou · 31/01/2007 07:16

hopefully. just really scared now.
