Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like <strong>Something</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Good luck lil we are all rooting for you today. Let us know how it goes x

And sorry for using your responses haha! But you are going to graduate soon, without our resident lil we would turn in to a bunch of crazed pissing symptom spotters doing a lemon and testing and 2DPO!

Oh wait.... Wink

mrscatmad31 · 27/01/2015 07:09

Hi :-) hope you don't mind a newbie joining?
I'm on cycle 1, just been on honeymoon so fingers crossed it's done the trick!

Due to poas on Thursday Sad

LaLa5 · 27/01/2015 07:40

Morning viroids! I've got my pom poms out in lils honour and will be shaking them randomly throughout the day.

Lil you've been my pal and voice of sense on here for over a year as we watched person after person join, get bfp and leave for grads and we were still here giving advice and cheering everyone on. You've been such a massive support to every person on this thread, never taking any shit (still remember the roasting you gave me when I POAS at 6dpo!) but still being sympathetic.

Nothing would make me happier apart from perhaps a massive bar of galaxy than to see you get that bfp. Will be thinking of you all day today.

C'mon lil!

Hi to everyone!

Country POAS!

Rachel I would second giving her her own room just now so she can settle in, meet you guys without other cat and chill out. Then when she's feeling a bit more secure introduce her to rest of house (and cat) slowly. In her head she's just been deposited in the middle of your other cats territory and it's scary and she can't get away. She'll come round I'm sure in a week or two. Poor love, well done for rescuing her!

Hi mrs! Congrats on your wedding :)

Purplecircle · 27/01/2015 07:46

Gx Lil. I'm rooting for you lovie Smile

Hobbit19 · 27/01/2015 07:49

Gx Lil!

*Mrscat, welcome, the more crazy cat ladies the better!

CountryGal4 · 27/01/2015 07:49

Bfn... Could only get me hands on a sainsburys cheapy though. Good luck lil hope all goes well!!

lildottie · 27/01/2015 07:57

la you have me welling up now! not just saying that i really am! its been along old road hasn't it! I remember how happy I was when you got your first bfp, and I shed a tear for you when it didn't work out. and look at you now 16 bloomin weeks already! gx I'll only be 14 weeks behind you (cos obv today I'm 2 weeks pg!)

I'm bloody starving, hate nil by mouth rules! for my own good I'm sure!

country sorry about bfn, but I don't think supermarket ones are more than 25iu sensitive. ICS are 10iu.

DulcetMoans · 27/01/2015 07:57

Think eggy thoughts everyone!! lil, think fertile thoughts! Get your sofa laid out with books and treats, and phone charger so you can tell us all your symptoms while you relax. You are planning to relax now, aren't you??

rachel it does take time to introduce a new cat - they are both understandably tense. When we did it we did have them sleep separate so they had their own space and left things from the other cat in with them so they get used to each other smells. Then got them to eat next to each other, which they hated at first but hunger won! I wouldn't say they are best friends (well the younger one loves the older one a lot!) but they live fine together and play together.

The tissue and the finger test are the best ways pud. I'm sure someone on here once recommended the taste test too, if you fancied it! Haha! Grin

lildottie · 27/01/2015 07:58

and thanks to everyone for the luck. heading out in a mo so will update you all when I can

RhiannonElward · 27/01/2015 08:41

good luck Lil I'm very much hoping it goes well for you. I've only just started posting regularly on here but I already have so much respect for your sense and sanity. I'm becoming a complete mentalist already and I'm only on cycle 1, so you must have marbles of steel Smile

jellypi3 · 27/01/2015 08:50

Aww la that was a lovely little speech there :)

There's going to be a new wave of "old timers" when lil graduates! Scary times!

Noniks3 · 27/01/2015 09:01

GX today La, hope it goes well for you today x

Welcome Mrs

CountryGal4 · 27/01/2015 09:15

lil or anyone else your gonna have to help me out. What's 25 iu and an ICS?????

jellypi3 · 27/01/2015 09:23

country ICS is internet cheapie's (so cheap internet pregnancy tests). You can buy them off of Ebay or Amazon, normally you get 15 tests for around £5. They are just strips of plastic you dip in your wee, so a lot more basic than the commercially sold ones, but they are very sentitive.

25iu is the amount of HCG the tests can measure for (HCG being the hormone the embryo secrets when it implants in your body). Most supermarket brands and Clearblue tests are sentitive to 25iu, whereas internet cheapies and First Response (FRER's) are sentivie to 10iu, which is much more sentitive. So they will detect pregnancy a lot earlier than say the Sainbury's brand you used.

HTH :)

CountryGal4 · 27/01/2015 09:34

jelly lil I bow down to your superior knowledge!!

gaggiagirl · 27/01/2015 09:42

Lots of luck today lil I'll be thinking about you.

jellypi3 · 27/01/2015 09:43

Haha it's all stuff I have learned from this fred country :)

Oh, another high today, still no fecking peak. Also, temp still not shot up, I did it way to early yesterday (2:00am.....) so FF didn't like it, but today did it at normal time. Temp is contactly around the 36.2-36.4 mark, so i'll need it to go to about 36.7 for it to be a rise I reckon.

How many months would you go without seeing a temp spike before speaking to a doctor?

rachelrawrrr · 27/01/2015 10:42

kept the older cat upstairs with me last night, at least the new kitty has eaten her food and used her tray today. Gonna be giving her her own room soon, OH needs to build the bed in the spare room, and I'll -clean it up organise it, so she can stay in there until she's ready to come say hi

honeysucklejasmine · 27/01/2015 13:00

I am so snotty today. Rubbish!

Got my pom poms out for you Lil!

LaLa5 · 27/01/2015 13:11

Jelly you're like the new js guru :)

kezaroo · 27/01/2015 13:40

Gx lil!!

I need help ladies!
Came on around 10-11am on Friday. Bled Saturday (medium) and Sunday it got less and less. Yesterday I didn't bleed (although was wearing a pad just in case)... Until about 11am when it was just a little bit (enough to see on a pad, but not a lot). Literally lasted for about half hour if that. Didn't bleed then at all until this morning and it was just spotting.

So I've not had a 'proper af', because since coming off mine have lasted around 4 days (proper periods). This one just hasn't been right at all! No cramps, apart from the odd twinge to the left. Normally I can tell I'm about to come on - not this time!

I did start to bleed on cd 25 which is the same as last month... But like I say, it's not been a proper one. colour wise it's been either really dark/brown (at the start) and yesterday and today what I did have was pink - not red.

Boobs are heavy, big (bigger than usual and they are very big anyway!), veins quite noticeable too.

Moods have been a bit temprimental - today is a good day.

I dunno... It just feels weird!

jellypi3 · 27/01/2015 14:13

Kez I would advocating testing for peace of mind. You will just stress over it if you don't. I can't remember if I have bored you with this tale yet, but I had a very random mini bleed on CD 17 in November. It lasted 3 days. was brown and very pale pink, never enough to stain a pad, only evident when wiping etc etc. I was certain it was IB (so was everyone else lol) but it turned out to just be a random mini-AF, probably due to messed up hormones because of the injection.

The only way you will know for certain is to test. Go get yourdelf a FRER (or use an IC if you have one) and POAS. If it's negative then just call it a light AF and start again. If it's positive...well then end of story :)

kezaroo · 27/01/2015 14:25

I've spoken to DH about it and he says to wait to see if I get any more signs (ha!)

But... He isn't here this evening so I think I trip to tesco is in order... Like you say, just for peace of mind

lildottie · 27/01/2015 14:43

I'm home. 11eggs retrieved although 2 on the small side. will here how many have fertilised tomorrow morning.

honeysucklejasmine · 27/01/2015 14:49
