This is a thread for ladies who have been ttc longer than 10 months who have started the ball rolling with tests and treatments. We are all here to support each other though these darker days to the baby shaped light at the end of the tunnel!

Wow Lil - congratulations! I'm so glad it's worked for you! You'll be counting down the days till scan. Just imagine you might have twins!

I had a scan yesterday and seem to be responding ok to the gonal F. 14 follicles showing now (largest 3 are 13mm) doctor was happy with that after 7 days of stims. He said he expects egg collection next Monday but I'm back tomorrow for another scan. Lucie - I have low amh and only had 6 follicles at baseline now I'm showing 14 so defo don't be concerned about having 11! And I have a cyst on one ovary so it's not as good as the other one.

I was really surprised about how many extra I grew! My amh is 5.4! Shocking really when it was measured in October I was 32. I took the news really badly to be honest but I'm really hoping to get 5 or 6 eggs at egg collection. We shall see on Monday tho.

I was also a bit funny at starting ivf it's a strange one, you hope it answers your problems but you don't really want it at the same time because you just want things to work the same as everyone else. I'm doing short protocol which i prefer the sound off - less injections which I'm bored of already after 8 days! Here's hoping for everyone to match Lil's success!

Thanks Landy I really hope it works out for you. My amh was 7.24 last year so we sound quite similar. I am also having short protocol which I'm glad of as at least it's not so long to wait. Just feeling a little down today with it being my last natural cycle but am trying to think positively. Once I'm pregnant I really won't care how it got there!

I don't think dh is going to properly give up smoking. Git. You know I caught him again late Jan yeah? After I'd given up booze? He's not doing anything to improve himself in any other way either :-( why is it always me making the effort? Can't be arsed any more.

Cd23 today and got pink, now brown, spotting on paper. Thinking of it as really early spotting and not implant. Don't put any thoughts in my head girls!

Not sure if this is the right place but thought I'd head where there are lots of people!! Been TTC for a year but had 4 months last year with no AF. I've just started temping this month and doesn't look very promising plus I've had no EWCM. My periods have been short and light and the last one was no exception. Anyway I'm on CD17 and yesterday when I went to the loo for a long sitting (as my grandmother called it) I bled into the loo and it's still there a bit today with a little in my knickers and when I wipe (sorry if TMI). I'm so worried and have booked in at the drs as really shouldn't be bleeding now, my cycles are around 26 days. It's been nothing but stressful since I've been off the pill!

Hi lerenard I'm also experiencing early bleeding with no explanation, I'm going to blame February :-( I'm day 23 of usual 30 day cycles.

Silly question but is the blood deffo from the front and not your bottom? Sometimes a number 2 can burst little vessels and cause a rectal bleed which is harmless. Is it red blood or brown? Sounds a little too heavy for ov bleed. No idea what it could be about otherwise luvvie. Have you seen the Dr about your periods and time ttc before now? If you're ttc over 12 months you're entitled to tests to see if you're ovulating and that your hormones are at good levels for getting preg. When are you seeing the doc?

Hey. Thanks Victoria. It was deffo from the front, I checked and it's still there when I wipe (just brownish now). At the time it was red. I went to the Dr last year when my periods stopped and had blood tests for thyroid and hormones and an ultrasound. Everything was normal.

hi ler i agree with vic re getting the ball rolling fir referral. push for progesterone, amh, FSH and LH blood tests (day3 for lh/fsh and 7days before AF due, not day21, for prog. amh can be with either. I only had "day21" test). even if they say 2 years tell them they can refer sooner if indicators of infertility so you want those tests and a seamen analysis for dh/dp to confirm whether or not there are indicators. they should also test your rubella immunity with blood tests and offer you a chlamydia (sp?) test.
for ewcm drink copious amounts of water, take evening primrose oil and drink grapefruit juice.
the bleed could be a sign of your hormones starting to sort themselves out.
are you temping the same time each day? and do you have 3hrs sleep prior to taking temp? if your chart is jagged you may get better readings temping vaginally rather than orally. what app are you using? I found fertility friend best. they have a free book about charting which is really good. (let me know if u want link).

sorry I feel the need to impart as much wisdom as I possibly can to anyone I "meet"!!

thank you lildottie. They did the chlamydia test last year. Not exactly sure what hormones they tested for but as I wasn't having a cycle at the time it wasn't on a certain cycle day. They said everything was fine but I could certainly ask again. Anyway, I've got up this morning and I'm actually bleeding now so it seems as though I'm getting a period only 18 days after the last one started. I can't decide if this is less worrying and whether or not I should hold off on the drs appt as was going to phone and try and get in today.

oh and I temp at 5:40am everyday and use fertility friend..still taking temp orally but could try vaginally I guess to see if it makes a difference.

I honestly wouldn't worry about the bleed ler. it could be that you are ovulating (though perhaps have low prog if charts not confirmed) but this is an annovulatory cycle so your body has moved on the cycle early. its perfect normal to have about 2annov cycles a year. I think I'd bring docs forward so you can get bloods booked in this cycle. and ask for a print out of the test results from last year and post them here and we can try and help you understand them.

Hmm, I know you didn't want to hear the i-word, but if that was me I would have to poas in a couple of days... (but then I'm addicted to poas! Grin)

I got a nearly positive opk today so hoping to ov before the weekend, when my parents will be coming to stay with us for a week (which makes dtd even more of a chore than usual as we have to be extra quiet!). I've cut down on the wine for the last month so will probably be getting my hopes up again that this is our month...

Thanks Lil. i didn't think to ask for the blood results from last time but she didn't seem at all concerned by them. she has asked me to go for another blood test on cd21 (counting today as cd1 as this random bleed has turned into a full blown AF and def the heaviest since i stopped BC). Maybe this is my hormones sorting themselves out finally, Going to go back for the results and then maybe get OH checked out. what about you Vic? you going to see a dr about your bleed?

ler dont forget day 21 is only day 21 if you ovulate cd14 and have 28 day cycle. otherwise 7days before AF due. if your not sure of cycle length now maybe stick to cd21 but keep in mind if AF shows up after cd28 you could have a false neg result. they should repeat it if you tell them when AF came but many GPS don't understand it all!
