The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Yes foxtrot!!! We can do this thing!!! You're a fellow east midlander too, aren't you? Oooh how fab would it be to get our bfps and then end up puuuuusssshhhing out our babes in the same hospital?! totally ignoring the fact you may not even be in the same county, lol

WigglyBraddins · 21/09/2014 20:07

Big shout out to the East Midlands massive, that's where I am too.

Phryn massive hugs to you. I totally get the WTF cycle being over feeling positive. Thank you for all your thoughts on acupuncture. I'll investigate further.

broodylicious · 21/09/2014 20:19

Whoop whoop for the East Midlands!! treacle, you can be an honorary member of the club, if you like? You'll be getting a bfp this cycle too so you'll just have to arrange a little trip across the m69 to the east side when you're ready to pop, lol Wink

thesmallbear · 21/09/2014 20:19

Am I the only Northerner on here?!

Treaclepie19 · 21/09/2014 20:45

Sunbathing I replied on the other thread :)
Fingers crossed for you x

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/09/2014 20:51

Sunbathing... Temping will only show when you ovulate. And by that point it's generally too late. And everyone is different. The first time I fell pregnant I had a positive OPK at cd16 but temping showed I ovulated cd18. So it can take a while. Unfortunately I have read that positives for a few days can be a sign of an anovulatory cycle. It could just be that you have a long surge. Or that one of them wasn't your true positive. Were they all as dark as each other? Are you temping?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/09/2014 20:52

I'm right down south.., not in the midlands gang either

DulcetMoans · 21/09/2014 21:36

Mouthy southy here too!

Metalhead · 21/09/2014 22:06

sunbathing I usually get 2-3 days of positive opks too. I charted my temp for the first time last month and it confirmed what I'd thought, that I ovulate on the last day I get a +opk.

I think I'm having an a ovulatory cycle this month just to throw the spanner in the works: got a just about positive opk yesterday, expecting today's to be glaringly positive, but no it was negative again and I also don't have my usual cramps and sore boobs. This is CD21 ffs, how much longer can my stupid body take to release one little egg?!

I'm down south too, though I lived in Birmingham for four years while at uni.

Last cycle for me was completely annovulatory which is why I'm so hoping I've ovulated this cycle.
Good luck ladies.
I'm off to bed. Meant to be 8 dpo tomorrow.

Monten · 21/09/2014 22:41
