coggy · 27/04/2006 15:30

As if I'm not on enough threads already....but...
have decide to get pro-active and get fit.

On clomid for three months so I have decided to commit to 100 days of good stuff body-wise.
By 5th August (if I have got my maths right) I WILL be a twiglet!!
Slim (a long way to go), brown (healthily done of course) and with all the bumps in the right places!! Including a nice little baby bump too please!!

I thought if I posted on MN I would HAVE to do it!
Here goes....only 99 1/2 days left.....

Don't do the Atkins diet it is very bad for your health IMO. And as you are trying for a baby it is best to be sensible.

Well done on losing weight and keeping up the exercise.

I am trying melon for lunch this week. Try salads with a bit of pasta or rice as an alternative. I find lunches very boring and have the same everyday for a week and then change it weekly.

Good luck to everyone else weighing today.

MrsMcJnr · 31/07/2006 10:09

Oh Coggy, you are hilarious! I LOL so hard about the long skirts and knickers, superb . Can't help though as don't have any long skirts (and am too fat for the short ones!).

I went through my wardrobe on Sat and stuck post-its on things I cannot fit into and marked them for certain dates in the future like a wedding in Oct, NYE etc. Would be so great to get back into them by those dates!

Hope you all have a good week. After my big, fat, boozy weekend (again), I am going to try really hard to not touch a drop until Thursday (Book Club night at my house - can't be a dry one!).

coggy · 31/07/2006 11:05

MrsMc - I like your post-it note plan!

wannaBe - don't be jealous I have weighed myself this morning and now I am jealous of you and your weight loss!!!!
Duck, pancakes and champagne was good fun but getting on those scales was not!!!

Rosemary Conley on Weds.......

OP posts:
Rachee · 31/07/2006 19:07

weigh in....... 11 stone 10 pounds, so two pound loss...... but think that's in two weeks ! better than putting it on though....

Well done everyone

xXx

Natty1806 · 31/07/2006 19:17

Good work rachee. x

coggy · 02/08/2006 12:19

Hell's bells!!!!!

I've just come back from my R.Conley class...and I am [shiock] about my weight!!!

11stone 12lbs

Clearly my scales have been very kind to me!!!

....although in my defence....I do normally weigh with no clothes on so I guess............

The Cogster is now getting a grip!!!!

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 02/08/2006 12:40

Hi coggy

Sorry it was not the weight you thought it would be but at least you are on the right track now and i am sure you will lose it.

What goal have they suggested?

Was back in the gym this morning, but feel so stressy/moody at the mo that i just want to eat chocolate.

Well done for going that's the first step.

coggy · 02/08/2006 12:42

They've given me a half stone target.

I've got a two-week quick plan start to get me well on the way. I'm going to start it tomorrow and then try to be REALLY REALLY good.....I need to be!!

Can't start it today as it's our wedding anniversary........

OP posts:
coggy · 02/08/2006 12:45

Oh - I just realised what you meant about the goal weight.

They just said have a target of half a stone and then I gues it'll be another half...

I would LOVE to be down to 10 stone...I was three years ago but it was a struggle!
Ten and a half is more realistic I think...so if I lose 1 1/2 stone that'll be......urm......10 stone 5 which I would be more than pleased with.

wannaBe1974 · 02/08/2006 13:04

coggy generally no two sets of scales give the same weight. I have two sets and one is hidiously inaccurate, not just because it gives a higher weight than the other ones, but because I can get on it three times in succession and it will give me a weight that can differ by up to two lb, lol.

Didn't go swimming yesterday but was back on the cross trainer this morning. Although I thought I might take ds to pizza hut this evening as we're going swimming, hmmm surely a lassagne won't kill me will it? just this once?

Natty1806 · 02/08/2006 13:11

Well done wanna on the cross trainer. i think you can have a treat for that.

have fun tonight coggy i have a really positive feeling about you this month. Hope it is right.

MrsMcJnr · 02/08/2006 14:28

Coggy, not only are we cycle buddies (not the exercise type!) but we weigh about same too (on my scales anyway). I am 5ft6, how about you?

I have my first Scotish Slimmers meeting tonight so will change my weigh in day to a Weds.

Have a lovely anniversary

coggy · 02/08/2006 15:10

Thank you Natty....that made me goosebumpy!!
I do hope you're right!

MrsMc....my weigh-in day'll be Weds from now on too so we are weighing-in buddies also!! LOL!
I am 5 foot 8 so not too different.

wannaBe....I'm trying to persuade myself that my flimsy work-out gear actually weighs about a stone!!! That's making me feel better about those scales!!!

OP posts:
Angsthase · 02/08/2006 15:28

Sorry I've been AWOL from MN. Computer at home officially buggared and had long weekend until today.
Weigh-in was non starter - still 70KG. (about 11St and am 5ft 7in, so need to loose about 6.5Kg / 1 stone)

Hubby leaves tomorrow for 2 weeks, so will give up drinking, start running again and start PROPER diet!!! Honest

No more amazonian german party's for me Coggy - although have been invited to gay pride in Brighton - sounds like fun, but will no doubt involve booze and I am soooo weak, oh dilemmas, dilemmas... Post me some resolve girls!

Natty1806 · 02/08/2006 15:39

Angsthase - you can drink and diet at the same time, espcially as you are doing jogging as well, just make sure you write everything down including booze, and try to be extra good the following day (hard for me as i have terrible hangovers) Going to try and not drink this weekend so you might 'see' a lot of me this weekend.

Think the 100 days are up so might be an idea to start a new thread -

Angsthase · 02/08/2006 16:05

Natty - will try and follow your advise, I have the same problems with hangovers which require at least one crisp sandwich (imagine at my age!!)

Maybe we should call the next thread 1000 Days...

coggy · 02/08/2006 18:49

LOL at the 1,000 days to become a twiglet!!!

Just re-read my first entry () and the 100days is up on the 5th August......oh how I've failed!!!!!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 03/08/2006 09:40

Hey Coggy, that is NOT the attitude, you have taken decisive action now so that's it, success is a must!

How is everyone else today? being good?

I rejoined Scottish Slimmers last night and the class was motivating and I do hope I do it, I really want to so let's hope I manage. Their scales weighed me the same as my home ones 11 11 traget is 9 12 and I want to get there by the end of November at the latest. Half a stone a month, easy (NOT).

Did some yoga this morning and have a 30min walk each way to the beauty salon at lunch time to get my waxing done (yipee, finally!)

coggy · 03/08/2006 09:55

Hurrah...for the waxing at last!!!!

We are similar weight aren't we?
Rachee is around there as well - 11 stone 10 - three in a row!!!

I feel a competition looming!!!!!

I have weighed out my 40g of muslei (sp?) this morning!
Not a lot but I didn't mind as it tastes like cardboard anyway!!

Getting a pedometer next week to make sure I do my 10,000 steps a day.......I am SO keen....long may it continue!!!!!

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 03/08/2006 10:08

Think on the next thread there should be a date where we all have to hit a certain target i.e 7 pounds - i am slow at losing weight so 7 weeks would be good for me.

what do you lot think?

coggy · 03/08/2006 10:12

That sound good Natty....perhaps we all ought to set a target that we will hit in that time so we can all go at our own speeds....I am usually a pound/ pound and a half girl when being good!!!

Lets think of a date in 6 or 7 weeks time (forgotton Hopecat's Bank Holiday ) and set a target loss for each maybe???

OP posts:
Natty1806 · 03/08/2006 10:26

Okay - date 15th September to lose 7 pounds for me.

Natty1806 · 04/08/2006 08:12

Morning

Put on 0.5lbs not suprise as this week i did eat 4 chocolate bars and a box of celebrations, which is very unlike me.

Was told last night that a friend is pregnant, she wasn't on the pill and i think was using the withdrawl method and had the attidue if it happens i will be really happy but i am not trying. Anyway you can imagine how i felt after all i have been trying for over a year now.

Anyway gotta feel more positive, my goal is to lose this crappy 7 pounds that keeps hanging around, start clomid in a month or so and fingers crossed me pregnant by time she has her baby.

x

MrsMcJnr · 04/08/2006 09:13

Hey Natty, don't be sad, your time will come.

I choose 1st September to have lost 1/2 stone. I know that is only 4 weeks but I really want to get into an outfit that I have for my nephew's christening on 3/9.

Nicola63 · 04/08/2006 09:18

I decided in the end to join a gym (together with DH) instead of playing squash. Will go three times a week (promise!) I have also been dieting (I pretty much follow Weight Watchers points system). Have lost 1kg this week. I hope I don't blow it all on the weekend!
