Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

Happy shagging shaggers

Not due my BFP / ERTD till the 14th/15th ( normal 29/30 day cycle) so am on cycle day 25 I think .

I have so far resisted testing , but I do have 30 tests .......

babyiwantabump · 09/02/2013 10:00

Ha ha blondie - I absolutely didn't pee in a pot either

Blush
thethreeblondies · 09/02/2013 10:16

I'm cd29 last 2 cycles were 31days+ app predicting af on 14th, soooooooooo should we? postman just brought mine (I only ordered 10!)

babyiwantabump · 09/02/2013 10:59

I caved !! BFN - totally expected tho - it is a bit early!!

crazycatlady82 · 09/02/2013 11:12

Haha!!! baby I caved too!!! BFN Hmm

Used first response early response pregnancy test - apparently it works 6 days early! Hmm...

I think I need a hooya because I was looking at baby carry thingies, pushchairs, went in to jojo maman bebe and, (yes there is an and) looked at child friendly cars - just in case my fiat 500 isn't up to the task! It does have isofix seats though so it really should be fine

Oh dear...

crazycatlady82 · 09/02/2013 11:14

Also a pack of 30 x 10iu (whatever that s) tests on order from amazon...

thethreeblondies · 09/02/2013 11:17

Hat trick! I caved too! But.................I have a really faint positive, not going to trust it for a good few days week probably not even going to tell DH for a few days he never trusts it till we get a few "proper" lines! My ic's were sensitive 10mui ones, doubt anything would have come up otherwise! fingers/toes/legs crossed for us all in the coming week x

crazycatlady82 · 09/02/2013 11:21

Yay blondies so excited for you!!!

Fingers crossed it is a definite, then you are onto the grads fred!

xxx

babyiwantabump · 09/02/2013 11:40

Yay blondies so exciting!!

Fx it sticks!!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 09/02/2013 11:48

Fingers & toes crossed for you getting a proper bold bfp soon Blondies!!

Hope it's just too early for you baby & crazy (arf! shorting both your names & putting them together basically means I could be talking to anyone on the thread).

crazy, I'd measure your boot space tbh, I have a friend with a VW Beetle (similar shape to yours but much bigger) & she can't fit her buggy & travel cot in the boot so is looking for an upgrade. anyhoo!

Rockchick1984 · 09/02/2013 12:28

Yay Blondies!!!!!!! Mine started as a faint line and has got progressively stronger (and appeared quicker) with every test yes I am still testing not that I'm still testing... Grin

Crazy you will definitely be limited with your choice of pram with a fiat 500, my friend wanted one but couldn't fit any of her 3 prams into the boot so would have had to put part in the boot and part in the back seat.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 09/02/2013 12:41

Yay for blondies and fx and fx for baby and crazy.

bear dunno about jobs/pg - I think since you don't tell everyone until after 12 weeks, you'd be okay? Unless you were showing? Also you'd surely still get stat mat leave - maybe not any extra, but still some. Good luck with the application anyway.
melody I have no idea if/when I get a formal job offer, but I think I got it (it was a ring-fenced job, I was the only applicant, I think they said I've got it, but as usual, boss is useless not clear in what he said: 'look forward to working with you' Hmm).Oh, and hooya in case you still need one? Otherwise, Wine.
cookie hope knee is still improving, and amazing work on weightloss, go you!
Nursing a hangover today (well, if you can't JS, may as well make the most of having just finishing ERTD and not having JSd since, so knowing I cannot be upduffed. If I were, bean would be pickled by now)

Have a good weekend all. xx

crazycatlady82 · 09/02/2013 13:03

Ok ladies, here are my thoughts...

No alcohol so Brew between kind of ovulation timeish to ERTD but then the only good thing about ERTD is Wine

Smile

Re the job if its council/nhs then I think you get all the usual benefits eg (for me it's) 6mths on full pay then 3mths half pay then 3mths on no pay so up to a year if you want

There have been 2 or 3 girls at my work who have become pregnant within a few weeks of getting their new job and then gone off on mat leave.

HTH

xx

Rockchick1984 · 09/02/2013 14:10

Bear they would still have to employ you if they had offered you the job. Officially they aren't allowed to discriminate against you at interview for being pregnant but obviously they may do so definitely don't mention it before being offered a job. Re mat pay, if you are already pregnant when starting, you will probably get maternity allowance which is the same as SMP but without the 6 weeks at 90% salary. You need to inform your employer by 25 weeks pregnant, any time prior to that is your choice.

MelodyHarmony · 09/02/2013 16:31

Well done ThreeBlondies. Massive congratulations. If I wasn't j. The 2ww I'd have a few glasses of Wine to celebrate with you.

HOWEVER, you, CrazyCat and Baby .... I thought you were all supposed to be holding out with me until AFTER ERTD was late. I turn my back and you're all peeing on sticks left, right and centre. I can't leave you alone for five minutes, can I?!

Sorry Crazy and Baby that you got BFNs though. Too early maybe?

thethreeblondies · 09/02/2013 16:39

I did expect a telling off Melody can I claim peer pressure? "The others made me Miss!" I'll continue peeing on sticks next week Grin

MelodyHarmony · 09/02/2013 16:39

Darn it, now you've all made me tempted to test.
I will not.

I will not.
I will not.
I'd rather have ERTD than BFN.
I'd rather have ERTD than BFN.
I'd rather have ERTD than BFN.

And you can put those pom poms away.

MelodyHarmony · 09/02/2013 16:40

No excuses ThreeBlondies. Not that you care about being told off now that you're upduffed!

AndieDisestablishment · 09/02/2013 17:06

Thanks Melody it's a traineeship for maternity support worker and I REALLY want it so fx.

ThreeBlondies Congrats, hope the line gets darker as the days go on.

Crazy What car manufacturers consider a baby friendly car is often far from the reality. Defo do what Gary said and measure your boot.

I'm truly back in the JSing spirit, we're not even looking at it like we're trying anymore, just having lots of sex to distract from the trauma of job hunting.lol. We had said we were going to stop trying altogether but my cousin brought her 8 week old daughter to visit last week and we got massively broody again.

MelodyHarmony · 09/02/2013 20:37

So ThreeBlondies have you had any symptoms? Just interested to know if my highly obsessive scrutiny of every twinge, pimple, queasiness feeling if I really concentrate on it will pay off and turn into something!

thethreeblondies · 09/02/2013 21:05

No real symptoms this month, had many more last month pre af, all I really noticed were rather sharp twinges over last few days, it's a tricky old business this ttc!

On the car front we had a small 306 gti when we had DD1 had plenty big enough boot for big urban detour 3 wheeler, upgraded to a bigger seat leon but the boot was smaller!

cookielove · 09/02/2013 21:15

Hello all, glad to hear about the faint line for you blondies

My lovely sister called she is pregnant - yay for her- Sad for me!!

I think i am just at the beginning of my 2ww, but as i said before haven't really had my heart in it this month. GOOD luck for all those testing to soon, or have already tested and testing again soon Smile

Knee was better again today, went swimming did 32 lengths of an Olympic sized swimming pool followed by a lovely shopping trip and then cracked my head on the boot door of my car (owwwwwww)

Bearface · 09/02/2013 22:46

Blimey Cookie, you do manage to knock youself around a bit! Although, I too regularly bang my head, fall over, trip up, bruise myself and I can't even blame AF so I can talk! Hope the head is better and glad the knee is behaving itself. HUGE HI FIVE for the swimming- that's a very long way to swim! I'd take my hat off to you if I was wearing one.

Threeblondies - how exciting! Hope you get some darker lines in the next few days. When do you think you'll move on to an FRER?

Baby and Crazy - when are you going to test again? You're probably too early atm so don't lose heart.

Hi Andie - good to hear from you! What's new? Thanks for the encouragement BTW. Smile Good luck with the job - it sounds really interesting.

Thanks all for the job advice. I'm going to apply anyway and will just have to see what happens. Feel like my life is made up of 'Well, let's just see what happens . . . ' at the moment. I think I like to plan things more than I ever thought!

I have a horrid sore throat because I've got two ulcers on one of my tonsils and I'm a bit snivelly. I've also got about four ulcers in my mouth, so smiling and swallowing both hurt. Speaking isn't great either doesn't stop me banging away at the keyboard on here though. Just hoping that it is a symptom as my immune system is low goes away soon.

I'm waiting til 14th to test, but weirdly this month I don't feel the overwhelming urge to POAS like I have every month before flushing money down the loo Maybe it's because of the job application? Anyway, got our 6 week old nephew round tomorrow, so I'm sure that lack of desire to POAS will change pretty quickly!

MelodyHarmony · 10/02/2013 07:44

Cookie that is bitter-sweet news about your sister being upduffed. That sort of news would tip me over the edge - I'd want to be happy for, but feel jealous, then guilt-ridden... Oh a tricky one. I hope you are ok.
High five for all that swimming. I felt the need for chocolate just reading about it!

Hi Bear I think you're right to go for the job, we can't putt our lives on hold just because we might get upduffed.
I'm due on the 13th but I reckon ERTD is well and truly coming (and possibly on the 12th now) my cramps have changed from the twinges to the ones that feel heavy and more painful, a sure sign of AF for me.
Your ulcers sound very painful. Hope you can get some good rest and feel better soon.

Nothing to report here. Other than I really think I'm out this month.
Got a busy day ahead. No more early POAS whilst I'm gone. See you all later.

frogchops · 10/02/2013 08:41

Ooh I've de lurked to find a hell if a lot if catching up on here! And now I can't remember who said what, so here goes my ramblings

Bear.... Def go for the job, a bfp will change your life and I'm not sure I'd put that on hold for a job, what will be will be!
Whoever said they weren't thinking about poas this month ...maybe bear?...that's exactly how I was, and if you remember I posted quite a few 'oops I forgot, I'll do it tomorrow' posts.
Also I remember the 'I think I'm out' days as the symptoms were sooo af like, so whoever said that, you're not yet!!
Aaand, whoever said their heart hadn't been in it this month, don't feel like that, my month only had 4 Dtds, only 2 were at the right time and my dates pin it down to a two five minute quickie on a Sunday morning. No faffing, hand standing, etc. so I'm sure the can't be arsed attitude worked for me!!
Rock.... I'm glad I'm not the only testing beyond bfp....I tested at 7 weeks, the bfp came up before the control, lol. Was the last of my ic's though, boooo.
