Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

Yes AQuark the 2ww is very very very long!!!!! I've ordered some sensitive ic's and was almost relieved they didn't come in the post today! Not sure when I will test, if I go by app (average cycle) I'll be due to test on 14th but I think 14dpo is more like 12th/13th! (so I'll probaby test on the 11th lol!)

If I've got this right (had to write it down as on phone so can't check back) Melody CrazyCat Baby and Bear are also in the 2ww and due to test/graduate next week too (positive thinking ladies!)

Loving the tiara Melody thanks, have half heartedly started on kitchen, and then got distracted looking at my old going out gear in the loft! Is it weird to send my DD to Brownies in a hankerchief backless top I used to wear? They need something for chinese new year and it's a vaguely chinese type pattern, and I'll make her wear it over another top Grin

I'm totaly with you AQuark. We can hold out together. D-Day is the 13th for me. I forget what FRER stands for, First Response something or other?

My own personal view is that there is little point in testing too early. I've known of plenty of cases where people have had early BFPs only to go on to get ERTD...chemical pregnancy...obviosuly something not qute right so nature just deals with it. Is that early knowledge of any benefit to us? I'd rather just hold out for ERTD and be none the wiser - just my view, but each to their own I suppose.

Anyway, I've been busy hunting down unicorns can you tell I'm putting off housework? I think Gary took hers with her when she graduated. How about this one to keep us company?

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time Bear and Cookie. Hopefully your BFPs are just around the corner.

Who is next to POAS?

Bearface · 08/02/2013 00:06

Thanks Fish and everyone for your supportive messages sneaky hand squeezes and hugs . I'm cuddling that unicorn like crazy! Sorry for the self-pity. I'm sure everything will work out eventually - it's becoming my motto at the moment. DH is a lot better I think. He hasn't really mentioned it but seems to be okay as well and not brooding, so we just need to sort out a doc's appointment now.

Sure - let's pass that crown/tiara around!

Cookie - your knee sounds bad! Rest up if you can and hope it feels better soon. x

Hi melody yoi're really rocking that tiara! Wink

That is brilliant advice about not testing too early. This is our first month of proper JSing/TTC so I am counting days and workin out when is the soonest I can test - the result being I am totally living up to my namesake and DH is about to say 'no more'! Poor DH!

Oh no bear hope you are feeling better soon! And cookie - we don't want ill JSers

Smile

Just curious... What age are we all?

I was 30 in Dec hence the thought we should maybe give the whole TCC a go...

Sad for Bear and Cookie. How did you hurt your leg Coookie? I hope you both feel better soon.

I'm 37!!! CrazyCat. But I've got three DCs already, had my first at 30.
So when do you think you're due ERTD/POAS?

Report
MelodyHarmony · 08/02/2013 10:42

Actually CrazyCat, I've remembered, you're due the same day as me. D'oh, sorry I forgot.

Melody I Love the unicorn! Super pretty! Oh and Crazycat hello to you I believe we haven't met yet! I am 25.

I havent caved yet and everyone testing around the 12th, 13th & 14th next week you are making me wait! a good thing really

Wine here is to a bumper week of poas next week!

Oh, I cant tell if ERTD/BFP are on their way. Massively tender boobage, constant need to pee, increased CM (not had that before at this point in my cycle) occasional cramps (usually much much much stronger by now!) A funny feeling like having a permanent stitch in my side but not quite! Also the runny bum (sorry tmi) I usualy get just before ERTD has not manifested this time! If anything I am more the opposite! Hmm

Sorry don't know why I wrote all that down! Just so confused! Confused

Report
MelodyHarmony · 08/02/2013 12:52

Oh Quark that all made me laugh so much. Lots of possible symptoms for you. I'm not even looking for symptoms this month. Apart from the one time I felt one of my DCs implant, I've never really had symptoms before missed ERTD. And looking for symptoms gets my head in too much of a mess.

You hold out with me. I actually like challenging myself to see how long after missed ERTD I can wait before POAS! But I know that's not everyone's cup of tea!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 08/02/2013 14:46

Sorry to hear cookie and bear are having a rough time of it - and fx for all the BFPs/POAS-ers next week.

Haven't seen DH for more than 10 mins in the last two weeks, while he applies for his own job, luckily 6 days of that was ERTD. Today is CD7, so we ought to be putting on the cape and DTD, but I am so p*d off with him I don't think it's gonna happen (I was also re-applying for my own job, being massively supportive of him, he didn't even bother to ask how my interview went yesterday; starting to question whether we should be TTC if he's going to be this utterly self-centred).
Sorry for the whinge, quark, hope you get the BFP and hugs to everyone. x

Oh Humpty that all sounds pretty rotten. How did your interview go? When will you know if you get to keep your job?

Report
MelodyHarmony · 08/02/2013 16:52

I need a HOOYA. Beginning to feel very pre-ERTDish but am secretly convincing myself they're early pg symptoms (of which I never get any, every month is the same at this time for me, preg and not preg!)

Report
Bearface · 08/02/2013 17:06

Hooya on its way Melody, followed by a nice cup of Brew and a whirl of the tiara!

Thanks Humpty - I'm alright really. Just a little bit worried that we mgiht have to go down the assisted conception route which we don't really want to do.

I've seen a job advertised that I'd like to apply for but the start is September (I'm a teecha), so if and when I get an interview might have to think carefully about TTC, but at the same time I don't want to out it on hold. Does anyone know what would happen if you got pg before you started a job? I'm presuming if you had signed the contract then they are legally obliged to still employ you? I realise you wouldn't be entitled to mat pay. Anyone know anything about this? Knowing my luck I'd get the job and immediately then get upduffed!

Hello, hello, hello all .......

My knee was really bad yesterday i was feeling so sorry for myself but today has been so much better although i am still shattered at least today i could walk and bend and sit on the floor which is much easier to work.

I had a ski accident several hundred years back probably when i was 18 ish, and i think it has essentially weakened the joints/muscles when i was heavier it was really bad but i lost 3 stone last year so it was much better, however since my wedding i've been slowly putting the weight back on, about 6lbs since september (naughty cookie)

So i am back on the diet, and back to the exercise, and hopefully back in the bed for the deed.

Report
MelodyHarmony · 08/02/2013 20:22

Poor Cookie. Well done on the weight loss last year, three stone is AMAZING. I lost about two stone ten years ago and it made such a difference to my life, my confidence, my outlook. I've never had an accident to damage my knees but they used to ache all the time when I was heavier. Every time I'm heavily pregnant they start aching again. its a good reminder not to let myself put on the weight as fat again.

I've put on 6lbs since Christmas, not over Christmas, I managed to lose weight then Confused. But I've been on a bit of a biscuit binge the last few weeks and now I'm six pounds heavier. I know it's not much, but I do feel flabbier and worse for it.

When I was TTC for DC3 I kept eating too much, thinking it doesn't matter, I'll be pregnant soon...but that was a really bad thought pattern for me to get into as it took over a year to get upduffed and I was in a constant weight/food battle with myself!

I hope your knee recovers quickly so you can make the most of your cape sessions.

I don't half waffle on. I'm so sorry.

HOOYA received, thanks Bear

A fellow teecha, SNAP, me too. My friend is a teecha as well and was very slightly upduffed at her interview for her very first post last May, she didn't tell them as it was so early and they didnt tell a soul, not even family until the first scan. She got the job. Once she was 12 weeks and had had scan, she told the school and then began teaching in the September. She went on maternity leave at Christmas and had baby in January. She plans to go back part time and she promised them this when she dropped the bombshell.

I know she was incredibly nervous about telling them last summer. And the response she got from the Head wasn't great but they stuck to their end of the offer and still took her on. I think her new colleagues also had a lot to whisper about behind her back which she found hard.

Really not sure if that helps at all, I think not! If you're currently teaching and new job is with same education authority wouldn't that count as continuous service with the same employer? And entitle you to occupational maternity pay?

Hello Andie...long time, no see. You ok? Good news about the job interview.

I know what you mean about MN making you crazy. It messes with my head too... I tend to be on here a fair bit when the cape is making most of its appearances and then in the 2ww I'm on here in scarily increasing amounts every day. But when ERTD hits, I notify you all then lose interest til it's cape time again!

As you might have gathered from the plethora of pointless posts nice alliteration from me over the last few days, I'm in the 2ww!

Baby when are you due to test? I got my BFP on CD25 (normally have around a 27-28 day cycle) and it was with an IC and middle of the day urine so probably would have got a positive a day or 2 earlier with FMU :)
