Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

Happy shagging shaggers

essie that's horrible, your poor gps. Hope they are okay.

Um, I think I got a BFP. Actually, I know I did, but it's only CD29, so I'm trying not to get too excited and dance around the room imagining baby stuff everywhere but I sort of thought something was up this month - I've been forgetful, stupid, away with the fairies since CD9/10 (when I'm sure I ov'd & we DTD). So, I'm not sure what to do now - apart from not have any Wine and sort of be a bit spaced out and happy. That's the right thing to do, isn't it?

Minion · 03/05/2013 13:42

humpty eeeeek congratulations x
Throwing lots of sticky baby vibes you're way. That's brilliant news x

Rockchick1984 · 03/05/2013 14:19

Congratulations Humpty!!!! Have a nosy on NHS website for foods to avoid etc, and ring the dr to arrange midwife booking appointment :)

Hope your GP's are ok Essie, presumably he won't be driving any more? My FIL is similar, we all know he shouldn't be driving still but there's just no telling him, I actually think he will have to stop once he gets his eyes tested again as he's got such terrible eyesight (amongst other reasons why he isn't safe) so desperately hoping his license is taken before he causes an accident Sad

Welcome Totes - I spent ages thinking I was creating pant snot on a daily basis until I realised it was actually DH's love juice Blush but I still can't really tell the difference!

Still no sign of AF, no idea when to expect it but we are JSing a lot just in case I'm fertile - not going to use contraband OPK's yet but it's tempting.

OMG Humpty this is amazing news! Yay! Congrats! You've cheered me up and I needed it. Grin Massive hugs.

GPs pretty battered and driver they hit is in intensive care so all pretty messy. My Dad is devastated. [tears emoticon - why isn't there one!?]

I'm supposed to be oving any day now but not JSed for a couple of days due to DHs conference then family disaster which happened yesterday tea time. DH and I supposed to be going out tonight, not really in the mood but think we ought to make ourselves go and try and forget about it all and also not totally miss all JSing opportunity this cycle too as we have been a bit useless recently.

Hope everyone has a good bank holiday weekend. x

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/05/2013 16:17

Thank you ladies - esp essie, glad to be of service! You could use some cheering up I think, from the sounds of things. Maybe a shag would cheer you up? Grin
rock thank you lovely - I will. Will stick a list on the fridge, so i don't forget. Since I've spent the past three weeks forgetting ALL WORDS.
Minion sticky baby vibes much appreciated.

essie81 · 03/05/2013 16:42

Blimming 'eck, its a big old list of things you can't eat isn't it? Just had a google for when the time comes. The cheese is the thing I'd struggle with the most. I LOVE cheese and not very good at telling apart the good ones from the bad ones cos they are all so yum!

cookielove · 03/05/2013 16:52

Yay I am so Happy for you humpty such good news. Will back in a couple hours after a mad clean up of the flat landlord is on route (eek)

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/05/2013 18:01

essie yeah, it's a lot - all pates (i love fish pate), rare steaks... You can eat cheese if cooked (the dangerous ones) apparently. Baked camembert. Mmmmmm.

cookie thank you - good luck with clean up!

coffeewineandchocolate · 03/05/2013 20:09

congratulations humpty! sorry I haven't been contributing (tho have been watching).

essie hope your gps get better soon.

ds was ambulanced to the local hospital on Mon night after he didn't regain consciousness after a febrile convulsion. he's fine now after having a snot ridden virus all week but I'm shattered! it'salso supposed to be jsing time so will have to call on my reserves!

cookielove · 03/05/2013 20:30

Wow coffee i hope your ds is feeling/getting better Smile

Hello totes nice to see a new face, well you know what i mean Grin

Clean up was almost completed when i got a text from the landlord saying they were postponing till Sunday so i have been lazying it out on the sofa since then Smile

Andie good luck in your new job, exciting Smile

Essie i hope your grandparents are ok, thinking of them during this time!!

Minion pah i am just the same each month try and tell myself not to think about it, and its not to be, but as it gets closer to the end of my cycle i think everything is a symptom, out side to the world i am all calm nothing can shake me, inside i am questioning everything Blush

I know this is really fickle but i am so annoyed, i have totally lost my new medication for my face and it felt like it was working and i can't find it and i am CROSS!!!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/05/2013 21:11

coffee thank you, and sorry to hear of your DH's illness, that must have been scary.

lil1ady · 03/05/2013 23:48

oh my I disappear for what feels like five minutes and I come back to illness accidents and a bfp!

so let me start with well wishes for your GPS Essie and for your ds coffee. and hope you find that burst of energy to get some jsing in!

cookie breath...where did you last have it. you will find it in the last place you look for it Grin

and humpty congratulations! please tell me there is a boob related story to rival mrsavbs?

Thanks for the hooya minion I def needed it. maybe this month will be our month. I guess we just have to remember we are lucky to be in a situation with husbands who love us etc so that we can be TTC.

Andie a bfn and no AF is better than AF....PMA required... Ur not out yet!

rock I know what you mean re temptation of contraband. I'm undecided whether I'm better doing none of it so im not thinking about it morning noon and night, or if knowledge is power.

I am starting to wonder, if I am struggling to keep up with you lot and post on this thread, how on earth am I going to have time for a baby?! life seems to be so busy at the moment, but we go on holiday on Thursday so looking forward to having time to relaxhave lots of sex! maybe all the relaxation and being away from the stress of work will mean I ov earlier this cycle...a girl can dream!

finding it a bit hard tonight this TTC business. my mum is upset that my bro and his wife had a get together for his bday last night and invited all of her family but didn't invite any of us. she struggles with only being able to see her only GC every fortnight when they go to her for dinner, which of course means she's in the kitchen for half the time they are there. i know its silly but I feel guilty that I, as the oldest child and only daughter, haven't given her a grandchild yet because until I do she won't really get to be a "proper" nanny as she puts it. Sad I like so many others I suppose naively assumed I'd be upduffed the moment dh looked at me once I came off the pill. I will never ever go back on it now I know just how much it has screwed my body around.

if you have been good enough to read my essay this far, sorry for the self centred moan and thanks for caring enough to keep reading. I feel a little better now its out there!

cookielove · 04/05/2013 10:23

lillady isn't that always the way, i've given up looking for it going to the call the doc's and see if i can get a repeat prescription on Tues, now that will be the day i find it Grin

I think DH is responsible, he says he's never seen it, which is a total lie as he was the last person to touch the bloody thing!!

lillady i can see where you are coming from with the guilt, silly as it seems we can't help what we feel when the people we are loved are involved Smile you need to tell yourself this is your life and its not your job to keep your mum happy, (does that sound too harsh) you can't magic a baby out of thin air (wow if we could that would be so much easier) any way i know its easier said then done.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 04/05/2013 11:57

lil thanks, sadly no boob story, although I am reasonably sure I got upduffed on CD9/10 - I'm certain I ov'd then. Going to do a Clearblue Digi later to check dates & call GP on Monday. I did a FRER this morning - strong pink line within 5 secs. I was like --> Grin

Sorry to hear you're having stress though - I know the feeling of wanting to 'give' parents a GC, but you have to focus on you & OH & getting upduffed, it's not your 'job' to provide them with GC, and just think how excited they will be when you do. Cos you will.

cookie bloody men move stuff ALL the time, eh?

essie how are your GPs today? Hope they're feeling better.

coffee is your DH okay today?

Oh, and I keep forgetting to wave to totes!

I'm going to hang around for a bit here, if you viroids don't mind? Doesn't feel real yet. Although the lack of coffee is already all too real... I officially am bored of peppermint tea.

lil1ady · 04/05/2013 15:23

Thank you cookie and Humpty. I'm going to focus on getting ready for my holiday this weekend and try to let fate take its course and not worry about it....definitely easier said than done!

at least the sun is shining, and I have been shopping Grin what's everyone else up to this weekend.

Humpty peppermint tea YUCK! Maybe just give decaf a try and see how you get on. I have accidentally converted to decaf tea as that was all we had in the cupboard and dh didn't realise they werent normal teabags. I didn't even notice until I was in the cupboard a couple if weeks later, now the caffeinated ones taste horrid! I think with decaf you have to make it differently to how you would normally have it. I have my decaf tea really strong, like tea bag rung out strong and that is what I find makes me able to drink it i do drink mega strong tea anyway!

coffeewineandchocolate · 04/05/2013 19:58

hi all. it was ds that was poorly but he is back to his usual monkey self. he clearly wants to be an only child as he managed to clash heads with dh today and knock dh out cold! it's right in the middle of my fertile time! grr

cookielove · 04/05/2013 20:00

Wow that is terrible but very funny Smile poor dh is he ok now!!

coffeewineandchocolate · 04/05/2013 20:22

he seems ok :-) I did giggle...

AndieDisestablishment · 05/05/2013 09:20

coffee Glad your DS is better, hope DHs head is ok.lol

essie Sending positive vibes for your GPs, what an awful end to the week. Did you have your night out?

humpty Congrats!! How much tea/coffee do you drink? If its no more than 4 cups a day (3 of coffee) then carry on with normal stuff.

Looks like a bit of a jittery week for most of us with this TTC lark. At least we have eachother's hands to hold.
Still no AF here. No idea what my body's up to.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 05/05/2013 09:38

Andie fx for you - what CD are you on?
I usually have about 6 cups of tea (on a work day) and 4 of coffee Blush, or 8 of tea on a non-work day... I don't mind the decaff tea actually, lil - not even making it differently, it's okay - but decaff coffee (we did buy the cheap tesco one) tastes awful. I'll have to find a way of sneaking decaff stuff into work and always offering to make for the next 7-8 weeks...
coffee how is your DS and is your DH back in his cape?

essie I hope you're okay and managed to go out/stay in Wink despite being worried.

Rockchick1984 · 05/05/2013 11:32

Humpty I think proper coffee (filter type stuff) decaf is loads nicer than instant - I bought a coffee maker from Tesco and ground beans online when having DS - spent my usual wine budget buying nice coffee Grin but the nicest instant decaf I found was Asda really smooth (I think) it's the asda one with a blue lid.

ERTD arrived today - VERY heavy and sending me a bit dizzy so lazy day for me - DH and DS going to a christening and I'm going back to bed!

OP posts:
HumptyDumptyBumpty · 05/05/2013 13:12

Thanks for the tips rock - I shall try proper decaff stuff & get to Asda!
Sorry the witch got you and she's a heavy one. I hope you feel better for a nice rest.

coffeewineandchocolate · 05/05/2013 13:46

well dh has recovered and donned his cape last night to fulfill his responsibilities Grin.

I second the asda decaff but I did resort to the proper decaf with caffetiere.

lots of chocolate and wine for you rockchick to help recovery!

cookielove · 05/05/2013 20:25

Hello all, waves like a nutter in the corner Smile

Humpty that is alot of coffee and tea Shock you may get the shakes coming off it Grin

Coffee glad your dh's head injury did not effect his cape wearing responsibilities (is there a better way of saying that)

I have just got back from London, went to the National which was good and got the cutest book for my nephew, a colour in Hungry Caterpillar book Smile

And met up with my brother, his fiancée, her mum, her grandmother and my mum Confused lots of peeps!!

Dh is back from his night away, if i can stay awake, tonight we will dtd Grin

Redshoes56 · 05/05/2013 22:47

essie how scary - thinking of your grandparents and hoping things improve speedily. And coffee glad your DS is better - yikes!

Big thumbs up to humpty!!!

lil I know where you are coming from entirely. I saw my grandparents yesterday and probably the third sentence out of my grandfather's mouth was about when I'm going to give him another great-grandkid. I wanted to say, you already have five! Stop being so greedy. For f*ck's sake. The guilt, it is powerful, but no reason for us to beat ourselves up. I really did hope that I'd get pregnant pretty quickly after going off the pill, too. How wrong we were, right? Soon enough....

We're celebrating (Russian Orthodox) Easter tonight - waiting for my in-laws to come over. It's been a gorgeous cool-but-sunny weekend. Got in some sexy time yesterday. Hoping we didn't miss the boat; I had lots of fabulous pants snot Friday, typical for ov day for me, but he was in bed bitching about nursing a headache. Fingers crossed!
