Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband

Happy shagging shaggers

Hello all. It's official I am shattered. As I wrote that I thought you lot are gonna think I am up duffed Blush I am just uber tired. Out late last night at a concert and up early today for work. No rest for the wicked Wink

Have read all posts, but so tired to respond (feel bad)

coffeewineandchocolate · 18/04/2013 18:36

Essie i think i calculated wrong before as I'm due on tues. I'm really pants at this stuff. I think I'm getting signs of ertd tho mood wise so not holding much hope..

Bearface · 18/04/2013 19:02

Yay Rock - good on you. Glad it was successful for you.

Sorry about that Minion - just saying what the lady in the book told me! Also, I was really confused recently about the whole work thing and whether to go for an interview. In the end I decided to just go and see what would happen as if I didn't get it, or didn't want it, then it wouldn't matter anyway. As it happened I did get it and do want it, but I don't start til September. I figure that if I get upduffed in the interim then we'll deal with it if and when it happens. I felt I couldn't keep putting my life on hold for TTC. I think you should just go for it.

Essie - glad your move is back on! Smile

Minion · 18/04/2013 19:22

bearface yep, going for it and I guess if it happens we'll cross that bridge.
Sometimes I wish I'd just got pg when I was a young'un....

Bearface · 18/04/2013 20:35

Hmmm - me too Minion but we can't change it now. We can only live the life we have ahead of us. How very deep of me! But I do believe it is true - don't regret things you may or may not have done. Look forwards! Smile

lil1ady · 18/04/2013 21:39

Hello everyone

cookie I'm with you. back to work today and I am shattered. but more like bum luck than a pg symptom although the little voice in the back of my head keeps questioning I must have woken up at every noise last night so felt like a zombie atmy desk all day

Congrats rock good to have u back in the game with us. always room for Wine in my book!

Hi twinkles. not convinced that Ur not crazy...you must have the whole mum thing down with dd to be going for the hat trick already!

good luck with the interview minion I have decided not to put life on hold for ttc. I have booked all sorts for late in the year! I will worry about the impact of being pg when I am! like the idea of u walking up the isle of a plane with DC strapped to u tho! should get some looks!

Such glad the move is back on Essie yay for the solicitor!

coffee its not over til its over!

hi to everyone else too.

so the talk of younger prompts me to ask...how old is everyone? feel free to decline to answer. As of 2 days ago I'm 28.

Redshoes56 · 19/04/2013 04:29

Hi ladies! I simply have to stop being so busy at work - miss a few days, and the thread is way beyond my control. Forgive if I don't respond to all of your fabulousness above! Muse concert was great. The slots took my money, but room service did bring chocolate cake, so all in all a success.

rock good to see you - onward and upward from here.

lil I will be 34 in June. Definitely starting to hear the clock and wondering if we should have gotten started sooner...

I swear I had some odd-enough symptoms that I thought we might have actually sealed the deal this month (lots of creamy stuff, and uterus hurting when I sneeze - have you ever heard of such a thing?) but now I'm pretty sure ERTD is on the way. Ugh.

Minion · 19/04/2013 06:24

Im 30. Don't feel it in my head. My back however is telling me otherwise.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 19/04/2013 10:14

Morning everyone, hope you're all well - feeling super lazy and tired today.
xx

Rockchick1984 · 19/04/2013 10:20

I'm 29 - had my dodgy scan the day before my birthday, and ERPC the day after, so not the best of birthdays so DH has said I can have another birthday this year in May so I'm still classing myself as 28 for another month Grin

Red glad the gig was good - I want chocolate cake now you've mentioned it!

Hi everyone

Woooo! It's Friday! Should be collecting the keys today.

I'm 32. Kind of panicking a teensy bit and had a small meltdown at my birthday in March about being ancient. My Mum started the menopause at 36 (as she likes to remind me often!), but did go on to have my sister at 40 without any help. So hoping I haven't left it too late!

Rock so sorry to hear all that happened over your birthday and glad you are getting to have another one in May!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Next time I log in I'll be a homeowner and hopefully moved in too! Ultra excited due to not allowing myself to get excited until it was real and now can't contain myself anymore! Grin

twinklesparkles · 19/04/2013 11:17

I'm 25 :) 26 next february

Good luck with the move essie81 :)

I'm absolutely shattered, a good night with dh last night, didn't get to bed well, asleep until 4am. Then baby woke at 5. And 6. And 7. And has been awake since. Think we may have a case of the colic :( she doesn't seem happy at all :(

Dh has just gone for a job interview, fingers crossed Grin

AQuarkTooFar · 19/04/2013 13:12

Hello all,

I am not going to even pretend to try and catch up on this thread! You lot move so fast you are making my head spin!

5 days until ERTD is due so I will be probably be testing a week today if it hasn't shown up by then! Funny feelings in my tummy but they could easily be pre period pains.

I had another fab week with WW, I lost 5lbs! Thats me lost 11lbs in 3 weeks! Grin

Rock good to hear you are back on the shagging!

Bear hoep you get those Doctors arses kicked in to shape!

Essie good luck with moving! Very exciting!

Welcome twinkle!

Lillady I am 25 and ttc No.1. DH is 30 and being married to him some how makes me feel more his age. Don't know why, its not really like he acts like a grown up much!

phew sorry to everyone I have missed! I am off for a Biscuit don't worry it's a weight wathcers one that tastes like chewing on carboard!

coffeewineandchocolate · 19/04/2013 14:37

I'm 30 :-)

MrsAVB · 19/04/2013 15:32

Hi y'all!
Have had a busy couple of days, but am endeavouring to catch up!
coffee, you are definitely an evil genius re. leaving the socks to pair. DH and I do our washing separately because he ruins my clothes so I'll have to think of a similarly awful task for him to do as payback for last weekend... [evil genius cackling emoticon].
minion, hope your interview has gone/ will go well, it's today right? Mine is Tuesday, and there's an hour long "test" as well as a panel... Boo...
rock for being back in the saddle! I think you definitely deserve a second birthday, like the queen, innit?
Thanks for everyone that wrote about SMP/ MA - it's the 6 weeks @ 90% which could potentially make a difference, although I've done my maths, and the salary increase of the potential new job would outweigh the loss, if i go back to work eventually afterwards, which is good news! Does anyone know how SMP & MA interact with tax/NI/ pension contributions and student loan deductions, and if there is a difference between the two. I know I could look this up somewhere but am too lazy thought you lovely ladies might know... It's definitely hard having to consider all this stuff, and it makes me want to get on my feminist high horse - men don't have to think about all this when they're having children. DH is very open to sharing parental leave, and we earn almost exactly the same, but the arrangements just don't make it possible at the moment. Although I guess it might take me as long to conceive as it does to pass law about shared parental leave... Sigh! And it really annoys me when talking about potentially having children that everyone presumes it'll be me/ "the woman" doing the looking after, as I/ "the woman" earn less. In all likelihood, this is what I'll want to do, but that'll be our choice. Sorry for the rant...
essie congrats on being lady of the manor, whoop whoop! Hope the move isn't proving too stressful. Also did you notice someone on the April bus is talking spreadsheets for cycles/ temps/OPKs etc., made me lol after our spreadsheet convo. I wonder if there's a colour coded EWCM column
cookie and humpty hope you feel less tired and manage to rest up over the weekend!
bear thanks for your wise words re. interviews, I totally agree - we don't know what the future holds so shouldn't put things on hold.
lil - I'll be 31 next week, eek!
red FX re. symptoms! Glad your trip, thieving slots, muse and chocolate cake were good.
twinkles you are showing us all up with your dedication to JSing with a 2 week year old, I'm in awe! Hope DH's job interview went well.
quark on the weight loss, really impressive. I lost 2lbs this week but put on 4 the week before. My DH is 5 years older too, but I still feel like the grown up, grr
Phew, hope I haven't missed anyone, sorry for the epic message! What are we all up to this weekend? I'm hoping for a quiet one as am shattered from being at mum's earlier in the week. But also have an excuse to indulge in new clothes need to go shopping for interview outfit.
Xxx

Minion · 19/04/2013 16:48

Back from interview. Who knows how it went, I guess I find out in a week and a half.
Ladies, I have the sorest nips this week, being only really just off the pill so not quite up to date with PMS just yet, but surely this shouldn't occur just after OV'ing and 2 weeks before the dreaded RTD?
If so, I'm going back on BC and buying/stealing/acquiring a child instead if this monthly PITA.

Rockchick1984 · 19/04/2013 17:20

Minion are you using OPK's? Just that I get tingly nipples when I'm ovulating, never associated the 2 things until I cheated on the Just Shagging used contraband and realised I ovulate later than I thought - could be that you need to jump the husband tonight!

OP posts:
Minion · 19/04/2013 17:43

Not using contraband other than an app. It is possible so last night I pounced and planning on tonight also. Last month, after 2x 28 day cycles I had a 32 so ov'd later than I thought, so this month I'm covering all bases.
The only difference I see today is more CM and it's still wet but not stretchy. I'm not entirely sure I get the stretchy stuff, apparently some women dont so I'm still none the wiser.
Oh dear.

lil1ady · 19/04/2013 17:51

Afternoon ladies...its the weekend!

red u had me rotfl with the uterus sneeze thing! isn't it strange how these things TTC makes u notice sound when u say them "out loud". Stay positive. its not over til the fat lady sings or more like til the bitch shows up

Congrats on getting the keys Essie. enjoy christening all the rooms getting settled in.

Rock you definitely deserve a second birthday! what do u have planned?

twinkles if you start talking colic u might put me off TTC! u must be a walking zombie today with so little sleep!

Quark I'm with u this thread moves too quick! I have to have everyone's posts in front of on pc to scroll thru and type my reply on my phone so I don't miss anyone! mega congrats on the weight loss. I'm hoping to start going gym again next week to try and improve my fitness. not my fave thing to do.

MrsAVB a quick search of the revenue site and I'm surprised to find SMP is tax and nicable by ma is not. seems odd so I will check my book at work on Monday for u if u like. re student loan I think again SMP would count towards the income limit but ma wouldn't. you don't pay SL until over £15k fish income so depends what other income would be in Ur name with smp. I thought you could now transfer 6months mat leave to the father but only after the mum has had so much leave. 20 weeks I think.

minion I think wet is as good as stretchy so get that cape on! fix for an all bases covered bfp!

11dpo for me which is same day ertd showed up last cycle so keeping my fx. trying not to get too hopeful as my cycles have been so screwy its probably just my body getting back to where it should be cos I think 10 day leutal phase is pretty short? have I read up too much on this stuff?! Lol. so glad I'm here so u guys can keep me grounded away from the contraband

happy Friday everyone Grin

twinklesparkles · 20/04/2013 18:20

Thanks everyone :) dh got the job :) starts monday.

Lil1ady - yeah I'm pretty zombie like, have sorted out dds colic though, well have made it better with a change of milk and dentinox. Sorted :)

Does anyone have any experience of concieving two very close together? I've been googling quite a lot, all I can find is women who have found out they are pregnant accidently at the 6 week post baby check up... Can't find anyone actually trying to concieve so close together ..... Maybe I am crazy Wink ???

Rockchick1984 · 20/04/2013 18:56

Twinkle my friend started TTC almost immediately after having her first, and fell pregnant when LO was 3 months so had exactly a year between them. She said the first 4 months was incredibly hard work, and she regretted doing things how she did, but at 4 months the youngest started sleeping better, the eldest suddenly became easier to cope with (rather than being at the newly-toddling stage). Now, 12 months down the line she said it was the best possible age gap for her family, despite a tough start. I hope this doesn't put you off, but wanted to tell you her experience :)

Lil think it will be a meal out - and hopefully more presents Grin

Well, I've had a huge bleed today so won't be shagging for a while, on the plus side apparently I can expect to ovulate in the next 2-3 weeks from what I've read on Dr Google as this should be the last of everything coming out of my system!

OP posts:
Rockchick1984 · 20/04/2013 18:59

Oh, and Minion I never get stretchy, only wet. I used conceive plus to get pregnant this time - apparently stretchy is the easiest for the little swimmers but wet is ok for them too, but after trying for 3 months unsuccessfully I wanted to give them a bit of help, got upduffed the first month we used it although obviously that wasn't a sticky bean.

OP posts:
HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/04/2013 19:49

Evenin' all.
I'm also too lazy not keeping up with everyone, but hoping (from memory), essie your house is beautiful and shiny and making you happy; MrsAVB I'm with you on the fewer worries for men & shaking fists/burning bras etc - Mr Humpty just bought himself two books on TTC and keeps informing me of things - everytime I nod wisely he's like Hmm how do you know all of this? Grin
rock, hope this isn't insensitive, but what is ERPC - I have Googled, but to no avail. Sorry you had a bleed, but so glad you're back and back in your cape.
I'm pretty sure I ov'd early this month, but the app says this weekend, so I am caped up like a crusader. Stocked up on Lucozade Sport for poor belaboured Mr Humpty, and planning to take my sexytime undies on holiday to cover all bases Grin.
x

Rockchick1984 · 20/04/2013 20:38

Not insensitive Humpty - basically I had a missed miscarriage so the baby had died at 7 or 8 weeks but my body didn't realise so kept producing hormones etc. and I still had pregnancy symptoms. First I knew was at my 12 week scan. ERPC is (I think) evacuation of retained products of conception, basically a small op to hoover everything out of my uterus (similar to a D&C if that means anything more?) so it's a complete miscarriage now.

Anyone else mentally designing their shag cape since the discussion re Pimp capes the other day, or is it just me???

OP posts:
HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/04/2013 22:47

rock thank you and I'm so sorry you had that. I vote you get the next BFP.
I would like a cape with lavender velvet outside and ivory silk inside, and MASSIVE blue flowers all over it. Possibly with a hood. Yes, a hood. With inbuilt music player headphones sort of thing to play music to get me us in the moooooooood.
