Couldn't stand a Fred with only a couple of posts left so I filled it up!

Here is the 13th installation of the Just Shagging saga. If you're a bit lazy relaxed in your approach to getting upduffed, come over here for a natter!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Brew and Wine with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly opk's or temp charting. They are Contraband Shock Wink

Happy shagging shaggers Grin

Meant to say congratulations to LadyFlumpalot yesterday. Sorry for being blinded by my own self pity.l

AndieDisestablishment · 10/01/2013 08:57

Didn't mean to post then. Stupid thumbs.

Thanks all for the kindness. Looks like we're all in our own special kinda of crazy fog right now!

Frog It could be too early. Implantation sometimes doesn't occur until 14dpo and hormones can take a couple of days to come through so they say 16dpo is optimal testing time. ie: when ERTD doesn't show up! So don't lose hope for this month.

Happy Thursday all. Grin

cookielove · 10/01/2013 09:38

Hello, i have just had the worse morning ever, a car just crashed into me so i am now stuck at home with no car, the police have just left and i am waiting in for the insurance to call Sad

MotherOfCleo · 10/01/2013 09:49

Oh cookie hope you're ok!

I have a questions, I went to the docs yesterday for my bloods results, he said everything was normal, including my progesterone levels...phew. He sees no reason why I shouldn't conceive fairly easily, he suggested using OPKs as I have slightly irregular periods normally somewhere better 26-29 days, which I started using last month. I usually have very light periods though, usually 2 - 4 days, with (sorry for TMI) very few clots, I think they seem light to me as I am used the withdrawal bleeds you get when on the pill. Do any of you ladies know if light periods can be a negative sign?

cookielove · 10/01/2013 10:04

I'm ok, still a bit shaky i wanted a day off and this really seems a bit extreme Smile

Its my fault as i was turning right, but he was speeding excessively so i really only have my bad judgement to blame, but i am ok and that is the main thing. Also i am lucky that i have my no claims bonus intact, other wise this really would be a nightmare.

Now just waiting for my mum to go empty the car of my stuff, its freezy outside but the walk to my car will do me good.

MotherofCleo i have no idea sorry, but maybe someone with more knowledge may know Smile

Kittenkatzen · 10/01/2013 10:10

Oh cookie that's horrible, are you ok??

cleo I have read that very very short/light periods can cause problems for some women but I think that's only in extreme cases. My periods post-pill have been only 2-3 days max and pretty light (never needed more than a light flow tampon, and the last day generally I would only need a panty liner!). I (obviously) still managed to conceive within the "normal" time frame so if I were you I'd just count my blessings not to be a 7 day-er :o

frog sorry for the bfn but as andie said, it's early days yet so don't give up completely!

andie hope everything works out for you very soon Thanks

Thanks and Wine to everyone feeling down in the dumps at the moment

cookielove · 10/01/2013 10:14

I keep thinking i am ok, but then i am still shaking when i sit still so maybe i did get more of a shock then i thought. Sad

Bearface · 10/01/2013 10:39

Cookie - strong cup of tea with lots of sugar should help! Hope you're alright. x

Hi to everyone! Have a good day.

chocoloulou33 · 10/01/2013 11:07

cookie hope ur ok xx
Hello to everyone else too. frog sorry about bfn, test again at weekend Xx

notsoold · 10/01/2013 11:36

Cookie....omg....get a cuppa with a biscuit dear....poor you! Xx

Frog...test again in in few days and fx for a bold bfp for you!

Kitten..hello! :)

Cleo my periods are shorter and lighter after do many years on the coil....still got pregnant twice... My problems seems to be able to make a sticky baby ....xxx

Andy thinking of you today....

Red you are very right ....decision nition of problems in one's life is reviewed when confronted with those facts...xxx

Today is Thursday so I really need to give our dog a shower!!! Bye to you all and I am going to wash, dry, blow dry, and mess with my doggie' hair because....is much better than ironing frankly...;)

MelodyHarmony · 10/01/2013 12:12

Thanks for the Brew and the cake Notsoold. (Have fun with the dog in the shower!) Nothing like a good cuppa to put things into perspective. Bear and Red as well, you've all been very kind with supportive and understanding words. I still think a slap is in order for me, because even if my day never comes, it doesn't actually matter, I already have three DCs. I just need to keep reminding myself that. But you have helped me to get a grip.

I am happy for my friend and I did something practical earlier to try to put everything in perspective, I went and bought a little baby gift for her and it has actually helped. I'm beginning to feel pleased that my friend is now feeling those amazing emotions of holding her new baby for the first time (and if you've not been there yet, just you wait...it is absolutely the BEST feeling in the world). I might go to see her in the hospital later and I know I can be nice, nice smile, nice hug for her, say yes it would be nice to hold the baby, nice words of congratulations to her DH, I know I can do it? I might have a little cry on the way home though.

I?ve also just found out that ANOTHER friend had her baby today. I haven?t seen any pictures of this one yet so it doesn?t seem to real at the moment. I can cope, I can cope

Happy Birthday Bear? third BFP on order from Amazon...just for you I got a special offer, buy two get third free. You are totally right about other issues in people's lives conflicting with trying for something so happy. Sorry to hear about your friend's dad. Never easy to know what to do or say in these situations.

Red I do hope the baby shower goes well for you. We need to hold hands this week, I think! Sorry to hear about the memorial service for the accompanist too.

Cookie sorry, you've had such a shock this morning. Have you got someone who can come over to be with you? Just take things easy.

Sorry you got a BFN Frog. It might have just been too early. I?m a big believer in not testing too early. I know some people do get their BFP as early as 10DPO but I think it?s the exception rather than the rule. Hang in there until AF is a day or so late then test again.

MoCleo, I wouldn?t worry about your light AFs. How long have you been JS-ing? I?m the other end of the spectrum and literally have a tidal wave of ERTD. Like Kitten says I have also read that very light periods can sometimes mean a thin womb lining but I think that is in extreme cases. If you find that things take longer than ?normal? whatever normal is , then you could raise it with your GP at a later date.

Anyway?Have a good day. I?m still only 6 DPO, this is the longest two weeks of my life.

cookielove · 10/01/2013 12:31

Phew, i am back in. My mum came over i met her at the car and we emptied it 2 big black bin bags a few bits and bobs, and then i had to go get some electricity and i walked home it was a bit of a trek, (usually done in a car) so with no breakfast, a car crash and an unexpected long walk i think i am done for the day. Feet are up on the sofa, and a couple of choccy bars.

Now the only problem with being at home is that i don't have work to distract me so i don't POAS, but i can't do that till monday.

dollydaydream26 · 10/01/2013 15:30

Hi everyone just about managed to catch up with this thread wow it moves fast !
Well it's ovulation day for me ( well according to my I phone app I actually have no idea if I am actually ovulating ) . < dons cape .... Again > .
So 2 week wait officially starts tomorrow for me .... Anyone else had 2 weeks to go I am determined to wait until due date of AF to test it's the 24th jan gosh already feels ages away Hmm

MelodyHarmony · 10/01/2013 15:37

Hi Dolly, nice to see you again. I know what you mean about the thread filling quickly, blink and you miss it! I keep checking in at least once a day (even though I vowed I wouldn't!) but even then it's difficult keeping up with everything!

I'm about 6DPO and am also determined to wait til after AF (18th Jan)
day before testing. I'd rather see ERTD than a BFN!

You look great in the cape BTW!

M x

frogchops · 10/01/2013 19:37

Well....thinking about all the ailments I've spotted....today I got a horrendously bad stomach. I usually have a stomach of steel but its just awful Sad
Now I know this isn't a symptom cos is it not constipation that usually occurs instead??Confused
Anyway I'm still reeeeeally bloated. To the point where it hurts really badly, but I guess I know why nowBlush

Sorry to hear ur ordeal cookie, glad ur ok!!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 10/01/2013 19:43

Hooya, I hope the scan went well & you're currently in shock at the idea of having triplets or something positive. xx

Cookie, glad it wasn't more serious, hope you're getting lots of lovely attention from DP!

Bear, happy burfday! bloods done today...ooh you lucky thing!

BelleEtLaBete · 10/01/2013 22:16

Hey ladies; sorry been a bit absent. Am sleeping all (literally) the time. And we got the dreaded OFSTED call this morning. I'm not even really lurking but I miss this Fred so thought I'd say hello.

There's a unicorn? And a cave? :)

How many bfp's have we had this Fred then?

BelleEtLaBete · 10/01/2013 22:20

Ps frog what did u pee on? I only got faint FRER bfp's at 11dpo. Nothing at all on an ic until 2 days after ertd was due. And then so faint they looked like evap lines. not that I've peed on all my ic's or anything just cos I like to watch the lines get darker :)

BelleEtLaBete · 10/01/2013 22:24

Pps the porridge oats thing in the bath really works. I did this too when I was pg first time and its bliss. Just don't so what I did and skip the tights/muslin bag and chuck the oats in the bath: apart from being really uncomfortable, we had to get the plunger out as they clogged the drain!

frogchops · 10/01/2013 22:55

Peed on an IC ding.... You know I don't waste the good ones until I'm sure, lol. Still keeping them for best.
I'm soooooo bloated, literally burping all of the time. And strangely the 'poops' are just like painful balloons of nothing (and sometimes a clearish liquidBlush) this really is tmi, I'm sorry!!! It's ding, she's back and brings out the shame in me!! Lol
But still I don't think the poops are considered a symptom. Anyone think I should wait now or maybe try testing tomorrow?

frogchops · 10/01/2013 22:56

Sorry I keep calling you ding....Hmm

Kittenkatzen · 11/01/2013 07:24

Gah just typed out a massive post and lost it AngryAngry

Will try again...

thethreeblondies · 11/01/2013 07:25

still a bfn here! bloody body dont know what it's up to, getting weird symptoms, leaky nipples, nausea, tingling crampy feelings, but I am still maybe only 13dpo so still some hope! good luck frog and anyone else still in the running xx

Kittenkatzen · 11/01/2013 07:28

frog in not sure about if its a pg symptom or not but it sounds to me like you should see your gp, doesn't sound good. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

belle I am GrinGrin at the mental image of you bathing in a tub of what is basically runny porridge!! That has totally made my morning haha!

bear HAPPY BIRTHDAY hope you have some fun stuff planned in addition to your blood tests Grin

to everyone else, happy Friday Smile

Bearface · 11/01/2013 10:25

Hello all

Wow - been away a day and so much has happened!

Thank you for the birthday messages Kitten, Gary, Melody and anyone else I've missed. I had a lovely day yesterday. Even the blood test wasn't so bad - the nurse and I had a great chat about Hugh Jackman and how much we like him! And for the first time in ages I didn't get a mahoosive bruise. DH was off work to spend the day with me and we had lots of fun going to the cinema with all the OAPs and having a thai curry in the evening. Smile

Cookie - hope you get yourself sorted out soon and that you've recovered a bit more now.

Frog and threeblondies - hang in there. You might still get a BFP yet.

Ding / Belle - bummer about the big O. Hope you get through it alright.

Melody - glad you are feeling a bit better about your friend. Smile

Frog - sounds like you're constipated but you might need to go and get it checked out. I'd recommend eating a tin of prunes . . . Hmm

Dolly - the wait is rubbish isn't it? Hope it goes more quickly for you than it has for me! Keeping busy seems to be the key for me.

Hope everyone else is getting along okay.
