Morning all!

Welcome WeeWillie, so sorry for your loss honey Sad you will find great support here. feel free to rant and rave, laugh and cry on here. There are a few who have recently mc on here sadly so we are in the same boat and can share experiences worries etc.

Smole how are you now, how you coping?

Piffle sorry your hormones are still playing tricks, when af arrives you may get some leveling out which wont' be long if you ov'd recently

Rubles - lol on your weather in London

Anyone seen Oinker lately? just wondering how she was

Just cold and raining here. Well think the bleed has stopped so roll on my first af for me! Everything else in my body seems to be getting back to "normal" and emotionally I feel fine after last weeks events. I definitely think that trip to the hospital Tues night helped me be at more peace with the loss. I should hopefully get the lab results back in a couple of weeks. Really wish my job situation was better though cos I want to get back on that band wagon of bd'g. Wink

Hope you are you coping ok.

Enjoy your day! x

mygirllolipop · 06/03/2006 12:06

Nikki - glad you are feeling more 'normal', shame you have to wait ages for results back tho. I haven't heard from oinker for a whie I do hope she is OK.

Nicola63 · 06/03/2006 15:19

Hi WWW, and welcome.

I now have an appointment with my obstetrician next Friday afternoon, hope to get some answers then about the reason for my two m/c's. I am really hoping they find something concrete, especailly antiphospholipid syndrome, as my friend (same age as me, in early 40's) was treated for that (aspirin and heparin) after her m/c and she went on to have a lovely baby born last year.

Well, I will just have to wait and see.

FirstNikki · 06/03/2006 15:38

Nicola glad you raised the point of asprin, anybody have any info on asprin at all? I should take 1/4 asprin every day for my heart and when I first got pg the dr said to stop. But my query is if I begin taking it again whats the risk, if at all, with taking that small a qty before and during ttc and pg? I say I should take it and haven't been lately ...oops.

HellKat · 06/03/2006 15:40

Hiya all.
WWW- Great to see you again hun, shame about the circumstances. I told this thread was amazing. The girls here are supportive, kind and nutty lol.
Hiya everyone!!!!!
Here's to alot more bfp's a.s.a.p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicola63 · 06/03/2006 15:44

The aspirin treatment (75mg a day) to prevent m/c's is only effective if you have proven antiphospholipid syndrome. It would be very important for it to be under the supervision of your doctor, and if you are taking aspirin for other reasons, FirstNikki, you need to let the doctor treating you for that condition know if you are ttc and when you become pregnant.

FirstNikki · 06/03/2006 15:44

Smile HK I am waiting my lotto win then I will be like a rabbit! Wink....[she sighs]....

HellKat · 06/03/2006 15:46

Ohhhhhhhh a lotto win sigh
That would be heaven Grin

FirstNikki · 06/03/2006 15:46

thanks Nicola that puts my mind at rest then, think will lay off it still for now I have managed for a while without it longer won't hurt.

FirstNikki · 06/03/2006 15:49

yes heaven, could you imagine how much chocolate you could buy! Grin....or even the best in medical care how good would that be.

mygirllolipop · 06/03/2006 16:00

Oinker - so that's where you been hiding, in bed with a hangover! Bless. Thanks for the congrats

FirstNikki I'm sure you don't have to stop the aspirin. Some women are prescribed it and it is supposed to be such a small dose that it's not a threat at all. And if the aspirin is fora heart condition I def wouldn't stop.

Nicola - the appointment isn't too long to wait

LOL at you lot dreaming the lottery!

kreamkrackers · 06/03/2006 17:41

hello everyone

mygirl - congratulations :o:o:o

nikki - i too wouldn't have stoped taking the asprin unless under the advice of your cardiac consultant as the heart enlarges and turns to it's side in pregnancy so i would have thought it would be more important for you to have carried on taking it as it is a very tiny amount (dd is on half a tablet a day).

welcome www

rubles · 06/03/2006 17:53

Hi www,

Everyone ive missed hello.

rubles · 06/03/2006 18:01

Does anyone have any advice for taking my mind off ttc? I have a cold sore and a stye in my eye now, for which I had to work from home because I look so deformed, and I put it down to the stress I felt in the last two weeks of my last cycle. How can I relax and not think about it - anyone have any techniques? It would help if I were busier at work but I am not so I have far too much time to think there. I am OK in the first two weeks, it is in the build up to AF that I become increasingly demented.

I have banned myself from the pregnancy, childbirth or birth announcements pages on here as a starter

going4potty · 06/03/2006 18:13

Hi rubles, we were waiting for my first af post ectopic before ttc so i started knitting Grin still cant knit but hey, it was so complicated and im so stubborn i was trying two weeks to "double cast on", it certainly kept me occupied. Or you could set your self some short term achievable goals, eg get fit, learn to cook italian, indian etc or even learn to cook. Read a classic novel. Write some cathartic poetry, whatever takes your fancy reALLY

mygirllolipop · 06/03/2006 18:19

Rubles - apart from G4P none of us can take our minds off TTC either!
G4P - I'm in Telford. Andwell done taking your mind off TTC with knitting I tried it a few months ago, made a scarf, it was pants hto!

weewilliewinkie · 06/03/2006 19:08

thanks everyone for your welcomes... you're all lovely and it''s so nice having somewhere I can 'talk' to others who are going through the same emotions as me...

rubles, I know what you mean about taking your mind off things...I find that a hot bath with lovely relaxing oils, like lavender or geranium really helps. And read a good book, especially something that could make you smile. I like Bill Bryson Smile. also try to just sit or lie down in a quiet room, close your eyes and just concentrate on your breathing, nice big deep calming breaths. Whenever you start thinking about other things, force those thoughts out by thinking only about your breathing. Works for me - often just sends me to sleep....but that's ok!
