Oh buggar I missed Nicola's post too
Nicola - thanks honey I know what you mean about trying to control everything. Have a day off today tho and tell yourself you will feel better in the morning. It's early days yet, and these 'off' days will become less and less I promise.

going4potty · 05/03/2006 17:48

Hello ladies, sorry i havent posted but social life a bit hectic recently. My girl congratulations hun. Nikki hope your feeling ok. Piffle and smole hoping your both ok and did one of you have a scan/ examination due and if so did it go ok? Nicola my thoughts and prayers are with you. Wishing you some inner peace and serenity of mind to help on these chaotic and dark days. Everyone else a big hello and hope your enjoying the remains of a lovely weekend.

going4potty · 05/03/2006 17:54

Just read my post and think i sounded a bit pompous, sorry all. Ps im usually a boring slob who like staying home tinkering Grin hence im finding going out three days in a row toooo much.

Nicola63 · 05/03/2006 18:07

You didn't sound pompous at all, just nice, thanks for the kind words. I'm envious of your social life! I've got none at the moment, DH is in the middle of some exams and is studying night and day so its all very quiet and stay-at-home around here. On Wednesday the exams are over and a bit of celebration will be in order...

going4potty · 05/03/2006 18:11

Hi nicola, believe me i wasnt lying about not being out much, apart from work and my mums every weekend and a few vists to friends/ playdates i really am a homebody. You have to drag me out! Are you feelng okish?

going4potty · 05/03/2006 18:16

....Saying that our last 3 weekends have been quite busy, as have had mil over a bit more than usual. What exam is dh taking? Do you usually work or are you home based?

Nicola63 · 05/03/2006 18:34

I go to work (but manage to work from home about one day out of the week usually, have to go in the rest of the time).

Feeling OKish?! Yes that's a good description!

DH is a pilot, but only moved to this country last year (to marry me!!) and has to redo all his pilot exams as he is not allowed to work as one here until he has the UK exams.

Debbsy · 05/03/2006 18:52

Congratulations mygirl well done and wishing you all the best :)
Nicola ive bven through a mc too and even though days seem dark it does get better,in time but every now and then it rears an ugly head and gets you down its called frustration and need im here as are we all for you. (((((((((hugs)))))))))

mygirllolipop · 05/03/2006 18:58

Thank you HK, G4P and Debsy it's starting to sink in
Nicola - where is DH from and you said you grew up in a diff country too? How exotic!
G4P - you didn't sound pompous at all my lovely.

OP posts:
Nicola63 · 05/03/2006 19:02

South Africa, which does not seem all that exotic when you grew up there as I did! But at the end of a long English winter it does seem rather enticing!

Talking of South African things I think I will go and make some butternut squash soup, which always seems to recall the sunshine to me.

going4potty · 05/03/2006 19:15

Wow, how exciting, i loved sa. We went to cape town, stellenbosch and west coast plus hermanis to see the whales then eventually kruger and some r and r in sun city! Definately my favourite holiday. We made some friends out there and stayed in their french villa when we were in stellenbosch! oooh how lovely. Plus i adore butternut squash, unfortunately its coolour and texture makes it hard for me to hide it in ds and dh food, so i mainly have it as a side dish roasted. Hi my girl well done.

mygirllolipop · 05/03/2006 19:24

Ooooooooooooh SA, my uncle lived there when he left the army, but we never went out there. He brought me some beautiful jewellery tho!
G4P glad you enjoyed that hol, sounded lovely and blissful!

OP posts:
going4potty · 05/03/2006 19:26

I did actually, it has to be one of my best i think. How you feeling mygirl? Do you normally keep well during your pregnancies?

mygirllolipop · 05/03/2006 19:35

I always get stressed on hols I never really enjoy them!
Well as I've only found out 2day, I'm not too bad, but already imagining symptoms! I had bigger than normal boobs yesterday and today and imagined heartburn today but I know that's all in my head! Actually I don't normally keep too great during pg, but the last was the easiest by far. The sickness was easier, the anaemia wasn't as bad (even tho I bleed for at least 4 wks of the pg) but still had low blood pressure making me dizzy then it rose to normal (but high for me) that coupled with the hypothyroidism meant I got a bit of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my hands but you know what I'll be glad to go thru it all again!

OP posts:
going4potty · 05/03/2006 19:57

Thats sounds like hard work. But like you say mums are happy to do it if it means their babies are healthy! Well i hope it improves further for you for this pregnancy.

Nicola63 · 05/03/2006 20:45

Well one of the most wonderful things about SA is certainly the nature and the wildlife, which is what I miss most living here in the UK (have been here nearly 20 years). I'm a wildlife nut, have even been to the Canadian arctic to see the polar bears in the wild.

Once my soup is ready, will be off to watch the new wildlife programme on TV (Planet Earth) at nine, so goodnight everyone and best of luck to all. Once again, mygirl, congrats, what a nice day for you.

going4potty · 05/03/2006 20:56

Well im of to watch some telly too, cant decide pride and prejudice or valmont. Anyhow have a lovely evening ladies bye.

going4potty · 06/03/2006 08:15

Morning ladies, hope your all well. So what is going on with this weather? Its snowed once again in brum! I wish it would happen all at once so we could make snowmen with ds. This tiny amount is pretty but just dangerous for drving in. Never mind it looks good at least. Im of to work so will post later on. Have a great day everyone Smile

rubles · 06/03/2006 08:38

I can't comment on the weather. I am in London and we don't have proper weather here, that always goes on in the rest of the UK, not here.

mygirllolipop · 06/03/2006 08:55

Lol rubles at can't comment on weather cos it's London!
G4P didn't know you were in Brum? I'm just along the road (the M54 anyway!). It hasn't snowed here but not 'nice' weather either.

Smole · 06/03/2006 10:36

Morning all. I can't believe all that I've missed over the weekend. Congratulations mygirl.

Piffle · 06/03/2006 10:40

mygirl that splendid news honey!

I'm taking it easy this month, have got really sore boobs since last week, and really bad complexion pmt style so think my hormones are still up the khyber from the miscarriage.
I was hoping that ovulating last week would calm it down but no...
