Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Quiet around here! And forgot to say toffee congrats for two lines persisting!

AndieMatrix · 26/08/2012 09:13

Everybody must have been busy yesterday Wink
I'm trying to stop DC1 & 2 from shouting at eachother and waking DP.
Why exactly do I want a third?lol

AWomanCalledHorse · 26/08/2012 22:34

Boo nightshifts Andie, hope DC1 & 2 calmed down!
Remember to let us all know when they're lovely to one another....trying to focus on the positives Grin

Hooya, IKWYM. Hope you're feeling better about it soon, I've been looking at different fertility apps and apparently I was fertile in the week that's just gone (so the one I was uti-ed up through), GAH!

Almost too quite around here!
Hope everyone enjoys their extra day off, DH got the entire weekend off (unheard of in his job) and is walking around in shock!

OP posts:
Hooya · 26/08/2012 23:45

Morning all!

Andie a third, wow! I am nervous about just one!!

Horse it's difficult isn't it - trying not to worry and just get on with it! Because of my two quite different cycles (28 days then 23) we're having to go for it for ages - tiredness starting to set in now. And DP just asked "when can we test" when I've already made a rule to only test if I have proper symptoms or am 2 weeks late, and when it's only CD14! Poor man must be knackered Smile

I wouldn't worry about the apps too much though, sperm lives for a while in there and the apps aren't definitely right, are they?

Gutted we have to go to work now when all you lot have the day off Envy!

AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 08:37

Hooya It'll be our fifth collectively!haha. Only see DSSs at the weekends (when their DM sees fit). I've wanted a large family since I was small, always surrounded by babies as a teen so I'm a broody person. Sounds like your DP is flagging a bit.lol

Horse Don't worry about the fertility apps. You'll drive yourself insane. Confused

My DP told me last night that I only want him for his sperm.lol. Good job I know he doesn't really think that, silly bugger.

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/08/2012 08:53

If we could afford it I'd be having as many kids as I can pre-menopause.

Hooya that sounds really frustrating! I've just got long cycles atm.
Well done on setting rules about POAS times! I'm too weak.

Andie, Grin My DH said the same thing, if I was choosing someone based on sperm potential I'd pick someone who didn't have male pattern baldness.

OP posts:
AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 09:04

Horse Ditto as many kids as poss (we'll stop after this one though...unless w get a big Lotto win) and the baldness.lol

Also agreed on Hooyas POAS rule. I'll be waiting til after missed period but not sure I could make it to two weeks.lol

Hooya · 27/08/2012 11:30

Evening all - hope you've had a lovely bank hol while I was daydreaming slaving away at my desk!

DP is mostly delighted to be used for his sperm Grin - but I think this week after JSing practically every day for 10 days, the novelty must be wearing off!

Horse long cycles must be annoying too, much longer wait! I can see why you'd want to test early!

Andie and Horse how exciting going for a big brood! I expect we'll stop at one... DP will be the stay-at-home one, with me going back to work fast, so multiple maternity leaves isn't ideal!

I'm actually looking for another job, which means if I get one we have to stop TTC for a while. So it's kind of a race to see whether I can get duffed or get a new job first! Much as I am keen to move, I can't help hoping that my ovaries and his swimmers move fast ha ha as it's too exciting to wait and I am not getting any younger

Oh and I am planning to be rigid in my POAS avoidance - so please give me a slap if I'm talking about breaking my rules!

AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 13:31

Wow, it's all go for your life right now Hooya Whichever way things go right now I hope it leads to a happy future. Que sera sera. :-)
We'll be your backbone when it comes to stick peeing, just don't judge us when we can't practice what we preach.lol

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/08/2012 14:01

I think we'll have to rename a ttc/poas related slap 'The Hooya', considering the last few thread pages! Grin
Like Andie says, do as we say not as we do, my name is Horse & I am a POAS addict!

I think I'm either ovulating or implanting atm as I have period like pains after JS yesterday morning (so bad I turned down JS today, the shame of it)! although it's probably nothing & someone needs to hooya me!

Hooya, we can just about afford for me to not work (short term, can't afford a bigger mortgage) so if we don't have them close together now, we'd be looking at me going to work for 10 or so years & then seeing if DH wants more when he's in his 50s & I'm in my 40s.
Hope you find a new job (if that's what you want, in practical terms)!
Hope even more that you get upduffed.

OP posts:
AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 14:54

I get the feeling there'll be a lot of Hooya's flying around. :-) I'm already thinking names slaps face
Horse I'm getting those pains too. Just consulted my calendar, seems about right for ov. We can but hope.
Hooya We'll probably end up with me working and DP at home too as he's self employed and it'd be easier for me to find a steady job than to have the dreaded moments between contracts!

NickiNockiNoodle · 27/08/2012 15:08

Andie and Hooya, I'm also the one going back to work ASAP while self-employed H2B stays at home.

Aren't we modern women?! :-/

AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 15:11

We'll be voting and all sorts next.lol

NickiNockiNoodle · 27/08/2012 15:44

Wow...that'd be a step too far! ;-p

AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 15:57

Sorry, hush my dirty mouth. Anyway, back to the kitchen.... Hahaha
(yes, I'm bored)

swimmingnotdrowning · 27/08/2012 15:57
AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 16:04

swimming Sounds like you're having a slow day. Hope you're ok.
I'd have to tell my mom straight away. Told her as soon as I found out about DS and DD. Told my nan about DS at 10wks cos she was ill and I was always very close to her (she died before my scan! Sad). Everyone else I waited til 12 weeks. Think I text scan pictures. So it'll probably be the same this time. Unless DP has another genius (and probably geeky) idea about it. Grin

33andTTC · 27/08/2012 19:04

No idea where i am on cycle so have jsd just in case

Kittenkatzen · 28/08/2012 09:31

hello?

HELLOOOOOOOOOO OO OO OO OO OO O O O.....

bit quiet round here innit! :o

AndieMatrix · 28/08/2012 09:43

All busy DTD.lol

AWomanCalledHorse · 28/08/2012 10:43

Andie, sorry to hear you lost your Nan :(
I'm closer to my Nan than anyone else in my family & am so grateful that she's around still.

Swimming, I'd tell my Nan & PIL before 12wks but no one else. I've never been one to think pregnant=healthy live baby at the end (every couple we know aside from us has had some form of pg loss) so I guess we're marred by that.

Kitten, think we're all that's left! Damn the success of this thread! Grin

33, just think of it as practise!

Hope everyone has a great week!

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 28/08/2012 11:00

This really has been a successful thread hasn't it - it's all but cleared out!

swimming I think we would be keeping it to ourselves until we have photographic evidence so to speak. Partly because I've spent too much time around here to take anything for granted, and partly because I think it would be quite nice to have a little secret of our own for a while. The only person I might have to tel would be my bf who lives round the corner - not a chance I'd get away with avoiding her (or wine!) for 8 weeks :o

So how about you swimming what's your plan?

AndieMatrix · 28/08/2012 11:11

Kitten It is nice to have a little secret sometimes. :-) I think mine and DPs little secret is actually TTC, even though I know our fam and friends will be supportive if we do get pg I think us trying for effectively number five might get a lot of these Hmm faces.

Hooya · 28/08/2012 13:08

Hello everyone!

Swimming you sound just like me - I need a good hooya (slap) today as I have started convincing myself that strange light ERTD was implantation! I am still resolved NOT to test but have started prodding my boobs, imagining sickness etc. Slaaaaap! The guy who sits opposite me must think I am some insane boob-feeler, oops!

Nicki and Andie nice to know I'm not the only one! I am planning to go back after 3 months (gulp) which is terrifying but DP will be brilliant I am sure and a far better parent than me (I can't cook or anything useful).

33 I like that attitude! I thought we would have a night off yesterday but not to be - I make that 9 shags in 10 days since we got back! I am constantly tired and dehydrated!

Kitten it does get quiet around here but there's still a hardcore load of JSers (or load of hardcore JSers Wink ) left!

On announcements, if lucky enough to get duffed I am going to tell just one friend who has had a baby and a couple of MCs, just so I have someone to talk to during the first scary bit. DP will also be allowed to tell one friend, then after whatever important scan (is it 10 or 12 weeks?) we'll tell family and other friends. The looks on our folks' faces if it does happen will be priceless - the all think we are resolved never ever to have kids! MIL in particular will I expect cry happy tears for days!!

Oops sorry for monster post, rambling as usual...

swimmingnotdrowning · 28/08/2012 14:32

Hello (not echoey at the moment - we're all still here kitten).

Hooya - your cycle is bound to be messed up. If it's possible that you have implantation then you should piar immediately stay clear of blue cheese and booze until your next period is due and piar then. I think you thought you're on short cycles so that shouldn't be too long?

On announcements, I think having the secret with DH would be special and if it did go wrong I'd be glad not to have told everyone (I have a friend having an awful time with an ectopic at the moment and I think it is made worse by the fact that we all knew and were excited for her). My parents would probably guess as soon as I refused a G&T though feeling a bit ashamed about that admission

On the other hand, what would you do if your bf told you she was early pg and you kept yours a secret? My friends are breeding like rabbits at the moment and I have my reasons for believing bf is next in line so this is a likely scenario. Would you end up lying or at least misleading her to cover up? Is that not a bit imbalanced (she wanted to share the most precious secret with you and you haven't returned the compliment)? How would you and she feel about that when you told her?
