Just Shagging Part 10; No science or skill, JS at will!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/06/2012 14:03

Welcome to the lazy way to make a baby, part 10!!

Just Shagging (JS) is ttc using ye olde shagging & crossing fingers methods, our tools are your body, OH?s body..urm some wine & lots of finger crossing.

All are welcome, most leave happy & upduffed! The last two threads have been very successful; thread 8 had 5 BFP?s, thread 9 had 6 BFP?s....so we?re due 7 BFP?s here, which means we all need to get shagging.

We don?t ?do?; OPKS, taking temp or harcore charting...although it is nice to know when ERTD is due.
Which brings us to acronyms & slang;
AF=ERTD (Evil Red Tide Of Doom).
EWCM=Pant Snot
Getting a BFP soon after joining thread= Doing a kitten
You=Are a viroid, no idea why but it goes long back to the dawn of time.
DTD=JS or donning the Shag cape.
POAS=Sometimes referred to as PIAR (Pissing In A Ramekin), as we?re such classy ladies

Here is last thread for proof that it works, and that you can't shut us up Grin

Here is the Graduates thread!

Is that the cousin called Paul (I think)?

We saw him in Teignmouth. Now THAT was an awesome two days!

Kittenkatzen · 23/08/2012 22:07

Nope his name is Mark Smile

Hooya · 23/08/2012 23:38

Morning all! It's Friday! (ok it might not quite be Friday yet where you are but it will be soon!)

I am so looking forward to a couple of days off work, and heading to the beach on Sunday - I love the heat and it's 30 degrees here Grin

We JSed twice yesterday to make up for none on Weds! Dunno where DP gets the stamina, tbh! And we have to have shag fortnight rather than shag week since I had one normal and one short cycle already. I am going to be exhausted by next week!

Brilliant idea on the shock scan pictures. We are trying not to get too excited about the telling people if I ever get upduffed - family and friends have absolutely no idea we are even considering it, let alone TTC! Comedy shock faces would result!

Happy Friday to everyone and hope you have fun weekend plans.

Pineapple80 · 24/08/2012 07:19

Morning all - happy Friday! Hooya - Enjoy the weather. I'm happy it's a bank holiday weekend! Good work on the catch up JSing too!

swimmingnotdrowning · 24/08/2012 10:44

I am at work totally concentrating. . . . . on the latest possible date for a bfp to have scan pics at Christmas. I calculate that a bfp by late October would be needed so plenty of time and hope left, no pressure this month or even next, all is not yet lost,

swimmingnotdrowning · 24/08/2012 10:46

Also, hello Andie!

toffeesam · 24/08/2012 11:12

I lost the thread but i'm so glad i found it again.

Horse -Can i be the 12th?

After last months dissapointment i know POAS early is silly, but i did this morning and got a BFP. I just want this one to stick. Grin

However with a ll these midwife progs on at the mo i am a little scared.

Don't want to graduate until i'm sure, is that silly too?

Been JSing for 2 months solid, happy but exhausted Smile

It does work Wink

Hooya · 24/08/2012 11:25

Woohoo congrats toffee and all the very best for a sticky one!

Hi pineapple - though Envy you lot having a bank hol - seems like the UK has had millions of them this year!

Lol swimming at your planning - nice that it's not a "must get duffed this month" goal, much more achievable if you have til Oct!

I think we will potentially plan a trip back to the UK to do the announcements if we do get there and through the first trimester. I can just see the Skype signal going as we make the big announcement!

I have to say that, utterly unexpectedly, TTC has really been great for our sex life! I know I won't be saying that in a years' time if we're still at it, but a mix of me being off the pill and having to make the effort even when home late from work and tired, has been brilliant! I must tell myself to enjoy it now and remember it won't always be so easy! Grin

Kittenkatzen · 24/08/2012 11:29

Wow toffee congratulations!! How early have you tested then? Of course you should hang around here and rub off your bfp luck on all of us for as loong as you want to. Make yourself a Brew, put your feet up and avoid all pregnancy related tv programs for a while at least!

This surely has to have been the most (re)productive thread in JSing history :)

swimming/horse/everyone! I think I'm becoming a bit obsessed with the whole Christmas idea....I spent my commute this morning planning exactly what messages would go into the cards....a "Grandma" card for MIL, a particular picture on the card for my bf to go with an "in" joke we have.... Confused.

I've also decided I'm not that bothered if I don't get a bfp this month - I want one next month I want a holiday baby dammit!!!

Kittenkatzen · 24/08/2012 11:31

Oh hooya I now have massive bfp announcement envy - a special trip to make your announcement in person! EnvyEnvy:)

Hooya · 24/08/2012 11:36

This is brilliant - I've been pretending not to obsess about the announcements but doing it anyway! Can imagine us flying back home, getting a family dinner together, then telling a roomful of people who were convinced we never ever want kids that....

everyone thank you for making me feel sane in my insanity, IYKWIM Smile

toffeesam · 24/08/2012 11:38

Thanks kitten/Hooya
only due AF on Sunday, but there is a supprisingly distinct BFP.
Did it cos i feel sick and my boobs are sore and BIG! Blush
I don't quite know where to put them. DH has ideas but they are too tender for any of that Blush

got an essay to write, but i can't focus. oh well. Grin

having a Brew and thanks for letting me hang about Thanks

swimmingnotdrowning · 24/08/2012 11:53

Welcome back toffee and hooray for bfp and fx for a sticky one!

We have a family birthday at the beginning of November, another at the very start of December, Christmas in late December (obviously - you all know when Christmas is so don't why I typed that!) and a family birthday at the end of January. Fantasising about which of those dinners gets the announcement.

toffeesam · 24/08/2012 11:58

How do you make the announcement when they don't know you are TTC?
I think that the parents will cry. Grin

AWomanCalledHorse · 24/08/2012 14:17

Hurrah toffee! Congrats! I understand the hanging around until you're 100% it's a sticky baby, when I get my bfp I'll be here until 12wk scan.
With PIL we just dropped it in casually, think it was along the lines of 'Ooh, this chair is wobbly, Horse is pregnant'...took MIL a while to work it out & then she bawled like a baby.

Hooya,Kitten,Swimming I've been looking out for 'Big Brother' tshirts for DS, think that's the way I'd like people to know this time. So I need a too!

Hooya · 24/08/2012 14:50

DP and I briefly tried to discuss how amazing our parents' reactions would be, but even talking about it even makes us cry so who knows what they would be like! They're so wonderful and understanding about us never wanting kids, never ask questions about it, but we know they would be absolutely thrilled about our change of heart.

I have no evidence that I'm even fertile, must stop this madness!

Pineapple80 · 24/08/2012 18:35

Congrats Toffee! Grin

notsoold · 24/08/2012 18:38

toffee congratulations and congratulations again!!!
We are so successful here and all glowing from the nice exercise jsing!
Missing jsing we are(tmi) with the stents. It really kills the mood.

So we decided if we can not ttc for now, we will enjoy each other's company.
Got ourselves another little break. Ds stays in dd flat and a full fridge and ps3 and doggie goes to my mum....
Jsing or not life can be good...:)

NicolaHazel · 24/08/2012 18:58

Congrats Toffee :-)

AndieMatrix · 24/08/2012 19:50

Congrats toffee.
What a (re)productive thread.

toffeesam · 25/08/2012 10:04

Thanks everyone.
Hooya maddness is good!
Notso I'm glad life is good Smile

this is a (re)productive thread (chuckle) funny Andie Grin

AndieMatrix · 25/08/2012 10:34

I do love a good pun. Smile

JSing out for us this weekend as DP got some extra night shifts so is shattered. Shame as I suspect it's the perfect time.

How is everyone today?

toffeesam · 25/08/2012 10:54

I'm feeling positive as there are still 2 lines this morning.

Andy work getting in the way of JSing is a shame, but i thought i had missed the optimum this month, but it seems not.

come on ladies a few more BFPs would be great this month. Fingers crossed for everyone. Wink

Hooya · 25/08/2012 12:25

Hello all!

notso glad you are having fun!

Andie boo about the nightshifts, I always wish JSing were not so tiring!

I've had a nice lazy day, trying not to think about TTC too much...
JSing wise we've been at it like crazy to be honest - every day mostly, every other day at the least, but I don't know if anything ov-like is happening at all Sad - I just don't feel like anything is happening, IYKWIM? Hope I'm just being a pessimist...

Anyway it's fun having loads of sex, even though we're used to a bit more variety Blush I guess!
