Due to overwhelming monthly disappointments, a few of us have decided to go the traditional route.

Coupled with that, we know that one CAN'T have pregnancy symptoms unless one is ACTUALLY pregnant and that only actually happens after implantation. Which is normally about 10DPO then it takes a couple days to show up in the urine etc etc so pregnancy symptoms can only really be felt at about 13DPO.

The purpose of this thread is three fold:

  • Support in TTC (mostly for first-timers)
  • No symptom spotting allowed AT ALL
  • Trying to exclude sticks (but we know that sometimes they're necessary)

So this will be practical application of theories and science.

We pledge to be honest and open and practical.
We pledge to give utmost support to each other in our struggle TTC
And we pledge to not give false hope or support symptom spotting until well after 13DPO

Hi - I'd love to join in this chat. :) BF and I have just decided not to use any contraception. We're not necessarily 'trying' but we're not trying not to get pregnant either. I'm taking folic acid but that's all we're doing to try and 'plan' it. No ovulation sticks/monitors or charting or anything. Maybe if in 6 months I've had nothing we'd give that a go but we're happy to just try it the chilled out way first. xx

KickingUpQuestions · 28/05/2012 14:34

Welcome!

Be warned, this TTC lark is highly infectious. Just remember that there are no symptoms except for a missed AF and a positive pregnancy test.

Everything else is in your mind :)

Thanks for the welcome guys. :)

Sadly my boyfriends sex drive is MUCH lower than mine so I think if I sent him a message saying 'hump hump hump' he'd just roll his eyes and think 'ugh, again?' ;)

KickingUpQuestions · 28/05/2012 15:07

Wow that's weird. Mine is insatiable!

He gets me to plan when he is going to "get some"...

Lol @ the hump hump hump txts haha! Welcome blueberry Wine

I have the same problem re sex drive sometimes I feel I'm pestering him Grin tho we 9 times out of 10 manage 3x a week (failing that I'll sort myself out hehe)

Re long cycle - it honestly made me so depressed Sad mainly because in a year that's only 8 chances instead of 12 so put more pressure on me and dp around ov! hoping this or epo is what's made me ov cd16 I had all the signs from cramps to ewcm and a positive opk so hoping it was actually ov and not just a surge and the luteal phase only last about 14/15 days max if I'm right?

QueenOfTheDrama · 28/05/2012 17:03

pinkie that sounds like OV to me!

haha kicking loving the hump hump txts - if I sent that to my DH he'd prob call me up and say "what you on about?" Hmm

Welcome blueberry Smile

Pinkie29 · 28/05/2012 17:48

KickingUpQuestions · 29/05/2012 16:37

Isn't it funny how we get all embarrassed thinking about things we do but mostly, all women do the same??

My DH bought an England baby-grow from M&S Grin

Beat that :D

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 29/05/2012 17:50

I haven't looked at prams yet - wouldn't even know where to start, plus I'm too superstitious an don't want to jinx myself! I have however mentally planned the layout of the future nursery (ie spare room) and have a shortlist of names that changes daily :)
