Had a search for a may BFP thread and couldn't see one (please correct me if there is!) so thought I'd start one..

Hello all, sorry for those of you who are having a crap time.

I'm feeling distinctly hopeful. 6/7 DPO and feeling a bit crampy and really sensitive boobs. Symptom spotting galore but it helps to pass the 2ww :)

suzydelarosa · 10/05/2012 15:05

I am definitely out the race as very bleedy now and some pretty awful clotty things coming out of me. drats!

First sign of prengnacy, kickingup is the sore, veiny breasts. Comes up for me right away! Even nipples seem larger, if that's humanly possible!

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 15:09

Last month, my breasts were sore from ovulation. I never get sore breasts. Ever. Was a certain. Came on a day earlier though - 27 day cycle instead of the normal 28 day cycle.

It can be attributed to progesterone increase and then, when there is no fertilised egg, the progesterone drops off at around 10dpo and you get the normal PMS symptoms.

Symptom spotting keeps me reading every scientific report out there. I know too much now :D

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 15:11

And just to add to that, sore breasts normally only start at 2 -3 weeks apparently. The more discerning articles admit that the only pregnancy symptom you get at 2 weeks is a positive pregnancy test.

So every one IS different. Which sucks. There should be a one-size fits all.

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 15:20

I am sorry - going batty here. This is what I have had this month:

  1. I think I had ovulation spotting. It was too early to be implantation and around the time I should have ovulated.
  2. We humped. Like rabbits.
  3. Shortly after ovulation, I started being incredibly thirsty. I can't explain why - I know it can't be pregnancy. I needed the loo more - a chicken and egg situation. Why was I thirsty? Because I was urinating a lot. Why was I urinating? Because I wanted liquids.
  4. I can't have enough fruit juice and fruit and chilled drinks. It's calmed a bit now (10 dpo) but I have been gobbling about 5L of liquids - 3 of those is my typical water intake.
  5. I have broken out in acne on my chest and back. That could be anything.
  6. I spent a week with a very scratchy throat and stuffy nose - just after ovulation. That's cleared up now though.
  7. I am tired. I mean - I get about 7 hours of sleep a night, but its' not enough. I have gone from typically being an insomniac to being a dead sleeper for easily 12 hours a night
  8. I am so tired that my glasses feel as though they have weakened. Everything is blurry. It started this way about 6dpo
  9. I feel constipated and am eating apples and fibre to try be regular again
10. I have a lot of vaginal discharge. I mean - I keep thinking I am going to have AF so I am wearing a pad. It's kind of thick, milky and started about 7dpo. 11. Last night, during the romp in the sack, my husband said there was a lot of cervical fluid but he said I was very engorged and swollen. He battled to...ahem...get in. And when he did, I was done within a minute. He said it felt very tight - he had never felt it like that.

No sore breasts. Slight nausea if I get very hot (which I seem to be). I get up to go the loo at night - that can't be right though since its only 10dpo.

It's my first time TTC and I have no idea what's going on this time?

I am just hoping for the best but expecting the worst

LittleMissSnowShine · 10/05/2012 17:20

suzy - oh no, that's awful suzy Sad

kickingup - Sounds like you're keeping a v thorough record of everything that's been going on so hopefully you'll be able to spot any changes which are signs of pg and which might just be PMS. Hoping for the best is where we're all at anyway, fx for you and hope your next poas is more successful!

Any other ladies in the BFN but no AF club still hanging out here?? Don't want to move over to June til AF arrives, even though I know it will. Eventually. Sigh.

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 17:25

Thanks littlemiss.

Its frustrating because we've all had PMS symptoms every month for like the last 20 odd years so how on earth do they suddenly change and become something we seem to have no idea about?

I've never noticed ovulation spotting before, yet have had it the past two months and I've not noticed it in 20 odd years?

My AF is due on Sunday. I am not sure I can wait that long...

I moved over to June already. No reason for this month to be any different and I may as well start meeting people :D

RightUpMyRue · 10/05/2012 18:34

Suzy Sad So sorry to to hear that.

winkle2 · 10/05/2012 18:36

Sorry Suzy :(

squeakymac · 10/05/2012 19:53

Thanks wishful and icequeen for the tips!

Suzy how are things - did the bleeding settle? Go see your GP even if you're pretty sure of whats going on, if only for the support...

Noticed some EWCM today (CD 16) but not seeing OH til Saturday grrrr! Don't know whether I'm Ov'ing or on 2WW or what....Confused

squeakymac · 10/05/2012 20:01

kickingup just out of interest have you just come off the pill? Just asking cos I had lots of symptoms (esp sore boobs) last month but then realised that I may just never have noticed PMS symptoms before cos of the pill...anyone else noticed that ever?

morecoffeemorecoffee · 10/05/2012 20:04

Hi everyone. Still lurking here but wondered if anyone could shed some light on my situation? I'm cd14 today. TMI WARNING! Yesterday had the tiniest bit of pink discharge when I wiped and again this morning. Twice this afternoon and evening had blood streaked discharge. Could this be Ov? Got a slight twinge on left side, but not in anyway painful. No ewcm. What do you think? (uve also posted on the June thread)

LittleMissSnowShine · 10/05/2012 20:13

Hello morecoffee!! Yes, that sounds like OV to me, now get to DTD and assume the winkle immediately ;)

Squeaky - def not an expert on.this but I think.u.mostly see the ewcm a day or 2 before u OV so sat might still be ok...if u jump him immediately!

lou143 · 10/05/2012 20:14

icequeenkate- af not arrived yet due technically next thursday, so now in luteal phase which was very short since mc! How about you?x

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 20:22

I have actually not been on the pill much. I have been on it no more than 3 months a year fora maximum of four spread out years. I have PCOS but only had cysts once.

I have been very aware of my body and i have tried to keep it natural

LittleMissSnowShine · 10/05/2012 20:55

KickingUp - I hav pcos too, really throws a spanner in the works when ur symptom spotting

Speaking of spotting, v tiny bit going on for me so just possibly that evil AF hellcat is finally going to be making her appearance 2moro. Feel a bit sad at the prospect but fed up in limbo land, time for a new cycle already...

Good luck to everyone, I guess i'll be off to join June!

squeakymac · 10/05/2012 21:10

Thats interesting snowshine I'll definitely try - although we're staying with his brother so I'll have to find a subtle way to get him into the bedroom on Sat afternoon as soon as he's off his flight ha ha!!! realistically we've missed the window but gonna keep hoping!

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 21:39

PCOS for me isn't a problem. I had fibroids 4 years ago. I had the nightmare kind that no one ever tells you about.

I had the two taken out in late 2008 and had scary internal scans every three months. 3 months after the myomectomy my gynae picked up PCOS and a couple cysts. She put me on the pill for three months and cysts were gone at the end.

My last scan was January and the syndrome is dormant. She explained to me the difference between having the syndrome that is inactive and cysts which is where the issues lies.

So for me, my PCOS aren't a barrier to pregnancy

scubastevie · 10/05/2012 21:40

Thanks so much for all your comments everyone. I'll see if AF arrives tomo (I'm usually like clockwork). If it does Im just gonna relax, prob won't join the june thread but if I do get a bfp you might hear from me lol.

So sorry suzy :(

Good luck to everyone yet to test, sorry its been all me, I love reading everyone's posts, hard to answer as on phone. Take care all of you! X

KickingUpQuestions · 10/05/2012 21:43

LittleMiss - sorry your off the May but will see you in June

jaquelinehyde · 10/05/2012 22:22

Evening ladies, I am utterly exhausted today and off to bed any second now.

Still symptom spotting but all I have to report is slight cramping which could be AF on her way and a load of dizziness (proper spinny head stuff) that I am putting down to being so tired.

So no great excitement I'm afraid.

I am still planning to test on Monday as I will be 14 days pov and approximately CD29 but I'm not holding my breath as I just don't feel pg at all.

I've got 3 really busy days planned including dd1's birthday so fx I will get to Monday without testing Smile

wishfulthinking1 · 11/05/2012 06:35

Morning all-
Cd27 today- feel decidedly un-pregnant! I did have some weird cramping Tuesday evening- just like AF cramps but a bit early? Implantation cramping? must stop myself being ridiculous have also been really irritable but think its just that I'm a grumpy cow!!!

X

P.s. I've caved and I'm going to dip a toe into June thread- just in case like x

jaquelinehyde · 11/05/2012 13:29

Wishful I think you and I are in about the same place Smile I think I will also come over to the June thread as this one os looking a little bit lonely now Sad When are you going to test?

wishfulthinking1 · 11/05/2012 17:21

AF is due tomorrow- so think I'll test Monday if she's not here. Have lots of cramping today- just like I normally have before AF so pretty sure I'm out but have been really tired today- symptom?!?

Jacqueline- how goes the symptom spotting with you? X

jaquelinehyde · 11/05/2012 17:26

So we are both testing Monday morning then but I think we are both expecting af to arrive before then.

I have had dull cramping on and off all day today and that is it, not another single symptom to spot.

Thoroughly fed up, I just want af to arrive now so that I know where I am and can start on a new cycle!
