Had a search for a may BFP thread and couldn't see one (please correct me if there is!) so thought I'd start one..

wishfulthinking1 · 08/05/2012 06:32

Suzy!!! That's amazing! Congratulations- really thrilled for you x

tedmundo · 08/05/2012 07:25

@suzy .. That is fabulous news. Congratulations!!

AF turned up this morning so won't be a may Bfp for me but here's to next month!

DogEared · 08/05/2012 08:34

Sorry ted... But just think of the babymaking, and eat loads of brie in these nest 10 days now... :)

Still having mental dreams, but spots, cramps and just a feeling tells me I'm not pg. However, I'm not due ERTD until Thurs, and I don't want to test too early after that in case I'm disappointed. Despite myself, I did nearly boak at the smell of the Ratdog today, and thought "Oooooh! Symptom!" but to be honest, Ratdog does bloody stink, and he had taken a huge dump on the floor, so... Angry :)

winkle2 · 08/05/2012 08:41

Sorry ted :(

Good luck dogeared :)

icequeenkate · 08/05/2012 08:55

@ suzy - very exciting. Fx for you for an ultra sticky one. My bro-i-l was treated for Hodgekins with chemo and radio. He managed to get his wife up the duff within 18 months, so it is obviously possible. And I might add they had another baby 3 years later, and b-i-l is very fit and healthy. Agree with dogeared - really wonderful news for you both.

ted, winkle sorry this month wasn't to be. Here's to June and a crafty Wine while you can.

@ lou - am joining you on the 2ww. testing on 21/22 if I can possibly hold out that long. But have a boozy do on the 20th so may have to just check Wink.

wishful - never too much wedding talk! Have you got your frock yet (as my Gran used to say...)? How large a choccie cake? Yummmmm.

tedmundo · 08/05/2012 09:21

Thanks everyone, I Am surprisingly ok about it. Prob was a tall order to expect to be pg in the first true cycle after mc. Will def be a lot more chilled next month.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting to test. I will keep checking in to see how you are all doing!

32andready · 08/05/2012 09:24

Congratulations Suzy and Crafty! Grin

Sorry this wasn't your month Ted Sad

Still no change here on day 38 so going to test again tomorrow morning and if it's a 5th BFN will go to the doctor. I felt sick on and off all day yesterday and had crazy dreams last night but think it's just because I'm constantly wondering what's going on...

morecoffeemorecoffee · 08/05/2012 09:50

Hi everyone!

Have just been catching up on the thread as been away over the weekend.

:( so sorry for all the BFPs that did not stick :( The same thing happened to me last cycle. It is totally shitty and so unfair. It is awful and my only advice is to take it easy and be kind to your self. Sending out lots of {{{hugs}}}

Congratulations on the BFPs! Well done girls!

Sorry for everyone that AF got. FX for next time.

I have seen my Gp. She is going to try and chase up my hospital appt. We also discussed my chemical pregnancy in April. She said that given what I told her (dates and all the TMI about what happened) that it was most liekely an early miscarriage. I knew this deep down. Very :( as I think I have had a few of these over the last year or so.

Anyway, will be recommencing dtd tonight as everything has settled down 'down there' and bleeding has finally eneded properly. Have been crap at temping. Keep forgeting. Will be setting alarm tomorrow morning. Starting opks this week as well. CD12 today.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to test.

DogEared · 08/05/2012 11:47

Sorry morecoffee. That must be very upsetting. Huge hugs to you- I'm thinking of you. Let yourself be a bit upset, because you'll feel better afterwards and you'll be ready to ttc with gusto. :)

I'm wondering... Do you think baby brain can kick in before AF is due? I just made myself a coffee and then started to make a loaf of bread. I poured all the yeast granules straight into my coffee instead of the bowl. That's not pregnancy is it? No, it's fucking idiocy is what it is :o

LittleMissSnowShine · 08/05/2012 13:33

hello girls, just checking in for today and getting caught up

@suzy - wowee, that's great!! did u test again today??

@DogEared - that was one of the things that convinced me to test last week when i had my faint BFP, complete baby brain moment, DH was talking to me about something really simple, like a movie he'd just been to see and i kept losing the thread of what he was saying. Doh! Baby brain is real, and i guess u can have it as soon as you have some HCG

@morecoffee - looks like same thing has happened to me this month (tho no AF to be sure yet) and tbh i think last month might have been the same since AF didn't show up until 10 (!!) days late and it was very very heavy and sore too, but i hadn't tested v early so i didn't know for sure. It's a horrible thing tho, but at least it shows u can get pg, we just need super sticky beans!

@ted - oh no Sad FFS!! it's the curse of the may thread! all i can say is a good friend of mine had a baby in Jan 2011 and she said xmas was pretty miserable, too much heartburn to enjoy dinner, too close to due date to travel far from home and she doesn't live near her family, so much snow that she was worried about how she'd get to the hospital, living in massive, flannel maternity PJs. maybe Feb 2013 will be a superior baby month lol

@winkle - did AF actually show up then? that bitch

@wishful - where u going on honeymoon??? lucky duck!

I'm on CD35 here. Yes, CD35. Had a bit of cramping y'day so assumed AF was on her way but she hasn't shown and cramping has gone. I also have no spots and no sugar craving. Carb craving continues, boobs still feel a bit sore. I'm in limbo land, don't know whether AF is on her wicked way or if my BFP was, somehow, the real thing and the BFNs were just less sensitive tests. But still resolved to do nothing except wait it out. Either AF will show up or a BFP will but either way, I'll be quietly going nuts wondering it'll keep til Monday....

Good luck to everyone on the 2WW!!

32andready · 08/05/2012 15:03

Looks like I'm out for this month Sad AF just showing her face now. Not sure why it has taken until day 38, just hope my cycles go back to 28/29 days now...

RIBS · 08/05/2012 16:58

Congrats Suzy. I'm made up 4 u. What with everything going on, this will really give u and your dp 2 look forward 2. And u thinking u were goin a give up 4 a while.

I'm having a lousy day, iv got a really poorly dog been at vets 4 an hour, fuck knows what that's gonna cost. She just crapped a pool of blood in there 2. Poor little thing. I'm supposed 2b at a spa day 2mor but don't think ill b able 2 go as she's dehydrated n iv gotta keep syringing fluid in her every 30 mins.
Ah, kids n dogs!

winkle2 · 08/05/2012 18:35

Sorry she got you 32

Littlemiss - yep AF got me! I'm now on the June thread :)

icequeenkate- eeek lets hopes for same due dates xxx

RightUpMyRue · 08/05/2012 19:55

Sorry to hear about more AFs arriving. This has not been a very fertile thread so far, has it? Sad Do you think it could be anything to do with the supermoon we had recently?

I'm on CD22 (20 according to FF) and I haven't OVed yet but had EWCM yesterday and today and two almost there OPKs. I'm trying to will the egg to stay away for another couple of days until DP gets back on Thursday PM, Friday would be perfect to OV but highly unlikely it won't hold out that long, will probably be tomorrow or Thursday so most likely too late to catch it this cycle.

Are there any ways to delay OV for a couple of days?

wishfulthinking1 · 08/05/2012 20:23

Oh ted :-( I'm so sorry :-( next month is the month!!

Im wary about saying too much about wedding plans incase I give myself away but figure that's pretty unlikely so here goes... I'd be interested to know what you guys would do honeymoon-wise...

I've always wanted to go to Vietnam- sort of a trekking / culture tour - DF not so enthusiastic but he's happy to do whatever. But then he agreed to press ahead with ttc and I figure I don't want to be far far away if I'm preggo- what if something went wrong? What if I had terrible morning sickness in the jungle! I realise that I'm probably worrying far too much- and may not even be pregnant by then- don't know whether to put off the ttc until after honeymoon or just change honeymoon plans and do something less adventurous? (realistically I don't think I could bare to put our ttc plans on hold now and we haven't booked anything. I think if DF was really keen on Vietnam then the decision would be easier but he's so laid back about things and I WANT A BABY!!!

So, I think with that in mind we'll go camping in Ireland instead!!

AF due in 3 days. I still remain ridiculously, and groundlessly , optimistic! Ive got no symptoms and dont know when I OV-ed and probably didn't dtd on right days. It's weird though, I'm so much more aware of my body this month e.g I've had stomach cramps today and can't really remember if I get those every month or not- I've never really paid attention to it all before!!

Xxxx
