Morning!

Cheese, glad to hear yesterday wasn't as bad as you had been thinking. Hope you got your quiet peaceful night in. Taking Scarlett Christmas decorations sounds so cute!

Blue, it would be amazing if you and your sister got BFPs at the same time! A pregnancy buddy would be great, particularly one that took the heat off you a bit. FX for the mini-temp dip being ovulation!

fanjodisfunction · 03/12/2011 16:29

I cracked open a stick two days ago and it was BFN! Oh well I thought it was but I couldnt resist as I had been feeling not so well again, so took the stick to draw that out and well I now know that my UTI hasnt gone away, so Im on more antibiotics. Im so scared I will have renal colic again that I demaned more pills. We are so busy in the coming week, keys on tuesday, white goods thursday, carpet saturday moving sunday. Crazy week ahead but Im going to enjoy evey little bit of it, its a long time coming. Its also tinged in sadness as we choose this flat beacuse I was pg, its a ground floor flat and I had already decorated (in my head) the spare room for Ophelia. But Ive got to put that at the back of my mind and just be happy we are going to be in our own place and I can finally display Ophelias memory box.

blue, Jane, august and count sorry if Ive missed anyone, I have my fingers crossed for you.

cheese I hope you night was peaceful.

razz congrats on the team blue news, so happy for you.

CheeseandGherkins · 03/12/2011 16:37

I still feel strangely ok so I'm just going with it at the moment! Got some more christmas shopping done today and now awaiting a takeaway with the dcs and dh, getting a pizza.

fan Hoping that you tested too early, fingers crossed xx

too it was nice leaving some things there, I expect others will be doing the same as I'm sure I remember there being some there last year as well. Too many new ones since then :(

blue hope you're doing ok, when are you planning to test?

Bluetinkerbell · 03/12/2011 16:56

Morning all
blue I think your christmas card idea is a lovely one. I have thought quite a bit about it and for me it is not something that I feel I would like to participate in. This of course is a totally personal choice for me and I really hope it does not upset or offend anyone. I would just feel uncomfortable putting Thomas's name in a card when to me the only place he lives on is in my heart. As we have discussed many times on this thread we all do what we need to do to cope so I hope that everyone understands.
I am of course happy to send xmas cards and greetings to you all ordinarily Xmas Smile
cheese so glad that you are coping well, surround yourself with your wonderful family
fan hope your hectic week goes well......it will be an exciting one

Bluetinkerbell · 04/12/2011 09:19

of course razz just send me your address and the names you would like on there! you don't have to feel obliged to write Thomas's name on there! you know that we all do whatever we are comfortable with on here, and that we understand that people deal with their loss differently Xmas Smile

Hi blue, I've been thinking, and worrying about the Christmas cards as well. Whilst I still think it is a lovely idea I'm a little bit anxious about feeling overwhelmed when they arrive with Jacob's name included on them as if he were still here. I'm also not sure how DH and my DS1 would take it when they read them - DS 1 is 8 so has been very aware of what has happened and still gets upset sometimes. He's a sensitive boy. I would still like to participate but think I'd like "....and remembering Jacob" on the cards.
Hope you are all ok and having a nice weekend.
X

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 04/12/2011 13:25

Blue, how is your temp looking this morning? [hopeful emoticon]

I have just had an impatient moment - reading some of the Christmassy threads and wishing I had a baby to create traditions for. Grr. I don't want Bean to be born early - it would be very bad for her, but I am still impatient. Am very glad we're not going away for Christmas, for the first year ever. I think I may be a bit wobbly. I have been going a bit OTT trying to make sure DH has a good Christmas. I have bought him 14 presents Xmas Blush. Some are very small stocking fillers, mind. I have no idea how much I've spent, and we've still to get presents for quite a lot of people. Xmas Blush Anyone else simultaneously looking forward to and dreading Christmas?

fanjodisfunction · 04/12/2011 14:35

Hey everyone. blue I kind of feel the same abou the christmas cards as razz but also I don't send cards anymore due to the over use of paper at chrimbo and me trying to be carbon neutral. I instead send out a e-card and I'm not sure that it will work on here but I will try closer to the time. If it doesn't I will think of something instead so keep posted.
Hoper everyone is having a relaxing first advent weekend, I've just started wrapping my chrimbo pressies, it takes me a while as I use brown recycled paper and decorate each pressie with paints glitter etc.

Bluetinkerbell · 04/12/2011 14:36

august that's absolutely fine, love! :)

Too temp went up! Grin hopefully this is it! feeling slightly sick too!
same here! but I bought too many for DD1 Wink she will be spoiled by Father Christmas! and she had SInterklaas (Saint Nicolas) come today, as that is a Belgian tradition, well he actually comes on 6th of Dec, but is nicer at the weekend :)

Too iam just dreading Christmas, I haven't bought any presents and I can't be bothered with the whole thing at all this year. Dh however wants to celebrate as it is our first Christmas as a married couple so it's a hard one.

Blue sounds promising, I have everything crossed for you my friend. X

Hope everyone is well xx

Hi all. Sorry some of you are dreading Xmas . We didn t have it last year , didn t put the decorations up, didn t buy presents etc... I ve never loved it always found it boring with just the 2 of us & last year only 7-8 weeks after Georgie died certainly wasn t in the mood. In fact , I was desperate for boxing day to come & I remember feeling a sense of relief when Xmas day was over. I think ( can t really remember) we had steak for dinner!!! & the only place we went was to Georgie's special place to lay flowers for her.
The reason I m posting this is all of us have to do whatever it takes to get through. It's only 1 day , in fact it was the bloody build up that was so depressing & it was a relief when it was Xmas day. If people don t want to celebrate it ; don't ... What does it matter? As we all know there's much bigger to deal with.
Love to all. Good luck Blue xxx
Have a lovely week Fan
we survived !!! Our first weekend away with Phoebe. She was good as gold at the hotel. The reception staff , well, that's a different matter!!( my sister, the day after her ERPC drove 2 hours to find the hotel had cancelled her booking & not got a room for her & hubby!!!) I m awaiting the manager to contact me tomorrow re ; compensation for them!!!
We didn t forget anything & survived!!Lincoln Xmas Market crap as so busy couldn t get near any of the stalls!! So much for al -fresco drinking!!! I had 3 hours put with Ant , longest I ve been away from
Pheb's , trying to increase the time. Got my Xmas do thi Friday so will be out a few hours & Ant's the Friday after.
Love to all xxx

Countmyblessings · 05/12/2011 00:59

Thanks blue! Such a lovely thought and idea!

AugustMoon · 05/12/2011 20:11

Thanks Blue :)
Have you tested? Sorry to ask Blush I kind of want to but ignorance is giving me a bit of hope and I don't want to lose that just yet.

Countmyblessings · 05/12/2011 20:46

blue - how you doing today?
hope everyone else is well ?

MelMal · 06/12/2011 09:36

Hi Ladies, sorry haven't been on much these last few days. Have been reading what's going on and posted once but Mumsnet wouldn't connect and I lost my post! Have been feeling really rubbish over the weekend as am choked with the cold. Ended up using Vicks on Sunday night after having spent a night not sleeping the previous one. It is starting to get better but it just seems to take ages when you can't take anything.
Blue I have everything crossed for you and your test.
Cheese glad you got through your day.
All the ladies still trying good luck.
My head is fairly fuzzled just now so am sorry have not mentioned everyone.
I have decided not to send cards to anyone this year. I don't know how I'm feeling about Christmas just yet as everyone seems to be getting on with it as normal and I seem to be stuck in my own wee world worrying that I'm going to burst into tears over the stuffing at my BIL & SIL's! That's not to say that I won't be thinking about all of you wonderful women and wishing that you all have a very gently Christmas with lots of love for our sweet little Angels xxx

Bluetinkerbell · 06/12/2011 09:42

I did test yesterday, which was negative, but that doesn't mean anything to me until AF comes. With my two previous pregnancies I always tested negative in the very beginning. I feel slightly nauseous today. My temp dipped a bit again, but no AF so far. I'm on CD 44, my last cycle was 37 days, the one before that 44 days, so we shall see. :)
I will test again tomorrow!
